  1. Hi Everyone, We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get a new update with new features and stability fixes out to you. Important Note: You may see "Critical Error: Failed to load minimum required components" after upgrade. Please ignore this message and refresh the page by pressing CTRL+F5. This will reload the page wihout cache. Changelog: Behavioural Identification is a new feature which identifies traffic based on the way it behaves. This allows us to categorise and prioritise traffic which hasn't yet been added to our DPI database, ensuring day one support for new games. It can also assume and categorise encrypted traffic based on the way that it behaves, which means that, for the first time ever, we can prioritise Gaming, Streaming and Video Calls even while you're using a VPN! New Themes have been added to DumaOS, you can now pick from Traditional Red, Gamer Green, Baby Blue or Cherry Pink WPS Support has been added. Press the WPS button on the back of your R3 to start pairing mode for 2 minutes. Translations have been added to the UI, you can now set your DumaOS to Chinese, Dutch, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish and German. If there are any incorrect translations, you can report them in the change language page. LAN Disconnections have been fixed, you shouldn’t be getting random drop-outs for wired devices anymore. Ping Optimiser has been overhauled and should be quicker and more stable than before. WiFi Auto Channel Selection has been improved, you'll get better speeds over WiFi. PPPoE VLAN compatibility has been fixed, you can now use both PPPoE login and VLAN tags at the same time and everything will work. Memory leaks have been fixed, your unit should no longer have to restart because of memory build up. LAN IPs were sometimes not being assigned before, this is fixed now. Many various frontend fixes. Various Stability and Security Fixes There are more new features coming this year that we've been working on as well. Keep your eyes peeled and we'll hopefully share them soon! You can install the firmware via Settings > Troubleshooting > Upload Firmware, and upload the file below: DumaOS-R3-4.0.540.sig We will be pushing this via the One Click Update over the next week or so.

  2. Ten years ago today, we launched Netduma. When you’re in a startup, you spend most of your time looking forward. Rarely, if ever, do you look back. Learn from your mistakes, don’t dwell on them, keep improving. But today, we want to pause for a moment. It has been a decade, after all. The Beginning We launched Netduma from Iain’s parents' kitchen. Our website had just gone live, selling the Netduma R1—our first router. It was no wallflower. Frankly, it looked a bit like a fire alarm, only had 2.4GHz WiFi, but the software Iain had built was unlike anything else out there. We sold out of those first R1s almost instantly. The e-commerce site Iain’s dad had hurriedly put together held up well. Our logistics process? Not so much. That led to many all-nighters as we worked through the order backlog. When you’re a startup, it’s impossible to be good at everything. But to make it, you need to be exceptional at one or two things. We had two. As gamers, we knew firsthand how much lag sucks. And with Iain’s brain, we could actually do something about it. Soon after, we moved into our first office (to the relief of Iain’s parents, whose house had begun to resemble a factory floor). We hired our first full-time employees. Word spread about what our software could do. Bit by bit, month by month, we levelled up. We improved our software. We grew our team. We made mistakes. We learned from them. We kept going. And we repeated that over and over. The very first Netduma office. Looking Ahead Fast forward to today. Our tech stack has evolved from fixing lag in games to fixing all bad Internet - for work calls, video streaming, and everything else. We’re partnered with British Telecom, Telstra, NETGEAR, Nokia, Genexis, and Mercku, with more partnerships to announce next year. Just a few weeks ago, our Service Provider business won the Scale-Up of Network X award. We’ve got a great team, great customers, and great support around us. And we’ve managed to do all this without any investment, putting every penny we made back into R&D to make new features (more on that further down). If you’re reading this, you’ve likely been part of the journey. Whether it was buying one (or all!) of our routers, helping on the forum, or telling us how we could improve - you’ve made a difference. Every piece of feedback, the good and the bad, has helped shape who we are today. None of this would have been possible without the support we’ve had along the way. Thank you. But here’s the exciting part: we’re just getting started. For the past few years, we’ve been working on two groundbreaking features. When we first envisioned them, we weren’t sure they’d even be possible. One fixes bufferbloat once and for all, with no downsides. The other pinpoints the root causes of poor Internet performance, whenever they occur. These features are set to shake up the industry and will be announced early next year. While it’s great to look back on the past ten years, we’re even more excited about what’s ahead. A huge thank you to our elite team in Cambridge, our incredible partners, and everyone who has supported us along the way. Thank you, Luke, Iain, and the entire Netduma Team P.S. If you haven’t yet bought our award-winning Netduma R3 router, which runs the very latest Netduma software, you can use the code ‘10Years’ for 10% off—this week only.

  3. Hello to all XR1000 and XR1000v2 users! We're finally ready with a new DumaOS update for XR1000 and XR1000v2. This update introduces updates and fixes for our DPI cloud synchronisation. Users will now receive our latest DPI database versions as soon as they're released. This means support for new games in Geo-Filter, Traffic Prio and Traffic Controller. You'll see new titles like Marvel Rivals are supported in Geo-Filter, and new titles like Path of Exile 2 are supported in Traffic Prioritisation. We've also fixed the issue from the previous version where there were no default lists in Adblocker. Now you can begin blocking ads straight away with the click of a button, and the lists will update automatically over time. There are also some backend fixes, including security improvements. This firmware was created to fix any lingering bugs with the feature set of the XR1000, and deliver on all of the features promised when the XR1000 was sold. However it does not introduce any of the exciting new features from DumaOS 4, such as SmartBOOST and Geo-Filter 2.0. For the time being, these features are exclusive to the Netduma R3 gaming router, and we can make no promise that they'll make their way to the XR1000. That said, XR1000 users will continue to receive updates for compatibility with the latest games via Netduma's DPI cloud, and security updates will be provided by Netgear. To request beta access, please reply to this post.

  4. After so long with the netduma R2 and the xr1000 as well as the R3 router, i have decided that these routers are simply not worth it. The amount of software issues & lack of functional updates is unbearable. I have switched to Asus routers which has definitely been alot better (Asus ROG rapture GT-AXE11000 Running asusWRT Merlin software) this router has been 1000% better in every aspect and it was the same price as Netduma routers. I love the concept the the Netduma routers but the functionality and software support for these routers are none existent. Im not sure what needs to change with the Netduma team but the lack of support is not on my list of favorites. Among the lack of software support, these routers seem under powered and cooling efficiency is lacking especially when pushing these routers to the limit. Netduma we pay money for these routers we are expecting you guys to make a real effort in solving issues like QOS or even interface related issues. I have been watching the forums for awhile now and i have made the decision to no longer be a supporter or customer until there’s some sort of major overhaul with the software and the team working on this… granted nothing is perfect but an attempt to roll out updates or “hotfixes” would be appreciated by many, and the fact that there is no 3rd party software support or solution shows me that these devices aren’t as customizable as they may seem. Overall i am extremely disappointed with netgear(xr1000) and netduma(R2,R3) i have owned them all & the only reason anyone should look at getting this router is for the geo filter for blocking servers you don't want to connect to. Overall i give these products a 3/10 absolutely a waste of money.

  5. HAPPY FRIDAY! . 🥳🤩 Now that's about as nice as it gets. "JUMPS IN THE SHALLOW END [HEAD FIRST]" 👀 Alright, @Netduma Fraser -🤬 Brace Yourself , This is not directed towards you personally, i mean you personally took this job , so give me as personal as it get's with DumaOS? I spent nearly **$500** on 2 XR routers (XR500/XR1000) because I believed the hype: “The ultimate gaming router powered by DumaOS.” But instead of cutting-edge features, I got stuck in a never-ending cycle of broken promises and half-delivered updates. Now I’m hearing that to get the latest and greatest features, I have to drop another **$200** on the R3? So, I’m out almost **$700** just to stay current? Seriously, why did I even buy into the XR series if the “future-proof” promise only applies to someone else’s hardware? Oh wait ... That's your own hardware (SOLD SEPERATELY) And let’s not ignore the elephant in the room: **DumaOS 4.0.** The fact that it’s “never coming to the XR series” 🤯says everything I need to know. Why invest in a product that’s been abandoned before it’s even reached its potential? Meanwhile, R-series users are enjoying the full experience, and XR users are left to rot on outdated firmware, i mean "Based on IOU's" and "We don't have a beta or know when it will be available" IN any other company - SAME SCENERIO. [Hey bruce, "rolls chair around with a quick swivel then pivot" , What's up Chad? Where we at on the beta for the LOL10000PEW's Firmware? Oh One second Bruce, "rolls chair around witha quick swivel then pviot" keys clacking on keyboard. Whips its backaround. So Bruce, were looking like 2 weeks tops. Thanks CHAD! . Oh one can dream .... I mean NETGEAR doesnt have to APPROVE the Beta Versions. Just DUMAOS right> . By the time we get DumaOS 3.3, the R-series will probably be running on version 6.0, complete with features we were promised from the start. (A Box can be so misleading) It’s painfully clear this was the plan all along: 🤡 1. **Market the XR series** as cutting-edge gaming routers. 2. Promise firmware updates that never arrive. 3. Launch the R3 and make it the real star of the show, while XR users are told to sit tight. 4. Leave XR users permanently one step behind. Let’s face it, this is a **brilliant marketing scheme**: 🥸 - Netgear pulls in customers with promises of premium gaming features powered by DumaOS. - Updates for XR routers get delayed indefinitely. - DumaOS shifts focus to their R-series, forcing loyal XR users to spend more money just to stay relevant. What’s next?🤑 The **XR2000** in 2030? The **XR-StillOn3.3** in 2035? By 2040, we’ll get the **XR-HopeYouDidn’tWant4.0** with a tagline that reads, “Firmware coming soon… we promise.” At this rate, we’ll have routers named after the stages of grief: 🙄 - XR1000: **Denial** – “They’ll release the update any day now!” - XR2000: **Anger** – “Why am I still waiting for this update?!” - XR3000: **Bargaining** – “Maybe if I tag Netduma everywhere, they’ll care.” - XR4000: **Depression** – “Still stuck on 3.3, but I’m too tired to care anymore.” - XR5000: **Acceptance** – “Guess I’ll just buy an R3 and move on with my life.” And the best part? This isn’t just disappointing—it’s insulting. It feels like we were used to build a customer base for DumaOS, only to be abandoned the second they decided to roll out their own hardware. “Thanks for your money; here’s an outdated firmware to remember us by!” 😭 Honestly, it’s like buying a sports car only to find out it’s missing the engine. “Oh, you wanted speed? That’s in the R3 model. Would you like to upgrade?” At this point, the only thing “cutting-edge” about the XR series is how it cuts into my wallet. 🤣 So, Fraser, where does this leave us?👀 Because from where I’m standing, XR users are nothing more than an afterthought in Dumas's bigger plan. Convert the customers of XR Series (NETGEAR) to R Series (YOUR COMPANY's ROUTER) Slowly pick off the customers of NETGEAR and take them all for yourself. Brilliant! Final Note - Since R3 is already out and kind of "meh" as is been quite some time that the "hype" of the R3 is kind of no more. (No disrespect, just in regards to a WIFI 6 Gaming Router to Others out their) When should i expect to purchase the R4-Wifi 7 - A router that can compete with todays Gaming Routers ( i wont list your competition, but GOOGLE will!) - Spoiler Alert - Check the "specs sheet" between an R3 vs XR1000 It all lies in the software.... ultimately DumaOS Seriously - Wallet in Hand. I'm ready to buy today P/S - Don't get to this point and be salty😅. This is easily my way of letting my opinion get the best of me. Notice i didn't mention you (except Frazier) , so don't take anything i said personal. That goes for all (including Frazier) - " This was meant in no way shape or form to single any(one-person) out OR in no way to be disrespectful" Its a forum, for this exact reason. 😶 LETS TALK ABOUT IT! Thank you for your time , L2W

  9. I experienced this on day 1 of launch of bo6 in every single game, I have stopped playing and waiting for the next update to fix these issues which would be likey season 1 update unlikely they will release a hot fix for this before then. To everyone with this issue, there is nothing wrong with your set-up or anything you can do about it. It's the game, not your Internet or netdumar fault. The game is broken, some people are just lucky to be on the advantage end of the gun fight they know this and they are abusing it. Reason why I taken a break from bo6 until it's fixed.

  11. For anyone anyone that wants good hitreg on BO6, this is my setup based on 1Gbps fibre Internet. 1. I've set congestion control to 50.5% for both up and down which gives me the best bufferbloat results. When tuning for Bufferbloat, pay attention to Jitter. Try and get it under 10ms. I managed to get mine under 3ms as I have very good Internet here in my country. 2. Set Congestion Control to Auto or Recommended. I keep mine on Always On unless I have big downloads. 3. I only prioritised Call of Duty (Series) for Apps and my PC for device. You don't need to prioritise Call Of Duty (Content) as @YT_LowPingKinghas mentioned in his videos Call of Duty (Series) covers Call of Duty (Content) as well. Focus on getting your Jitter as low as possible. I've noticed tremendous consistency and crispy hitregs just by doing this. I've uploaded a video of my gameplay and its been very consistent from game to game. Do give it a try and hope this helps. Nothing complicated to setup as the router does everything properly with 540 firmware but Geofilter is kinda broken now as it doesn't indicate which server on the map its connecting to anymore. I hope this can be fixed in the next update. And do factory reset your router after upgrading to 540 firmware. I got away without doing factory reset last few updates but 540 firmware wasn't having it. Had ping spikes and weird issues until I factory reset and it was GOLDEN.

  12. The 🐘 in the room - by L2W Dear Fraser, since you do not want to respond/answer, i think some else could from the Netduma Team could shed some light on this? I hope this message finds you well. I’d like to express my frustration with the situation surrounding the XR series routers (Specifically the XR500 and XR1000), as it feels like we, as customers, have been left behind while new products and updates are being prioritized for the R-series. When I purchased the XR500 and XR1000, I did so believing the promise of a cutting-edge, future-proof gaming experience powered by DumaOS. At the time, I invested nearly $500 into the two routers, fully expecting that the firmware updates would continue to enhance their functionality and gaming features. However, the reality has been far from that expectation. Despite being marketed as premium gaming routers, the updates have been inconsistent, delayed, and in some cases, non-existent. Now, with the introduction of the R3, it feels as though customers like myself who purchased the XR series are being left behind. I understand the need for new products, but I cannot help but feel that the focus on the R3 has effectively sidelined the XR series, especially with the news that DumaOS 4.0 will not be available for the XR series. This is incredibly disheartening, as it appears that users who invested in the XR routers are now facing outdated firmware, while the R-series is receiving the latest features. I believe this situation could have been handled differently, particularly given that Netgear is not a small company. If Netgear is truly committed to its customers, particularly those who have invested in the XR series, it should not deny them access to the latest firmware updates that bring the promised gaming features. Denying these updates is not only poor customer service, but it also undermines the trust that customers have placed in the brand. If the focus is indeed shifting entirely to the R-series, it would be much more transparent to acknowledge this and provide clear communication to customers regarding the future of the XR series. It’s frustrating to feel like I’ve been caught in a cycle of purchasing products that, at the end of the day, are rendered obsolete faster than I could have ever anticipated. As it stands, I’m left wondering when—or if—there will be any updates for the XR series to bring them up to the same level of functionality as the R3. The lack of clarity and consistent communication about this issue is disappointing. I’d also like to raise the point that Netgear’s partnership with DumaOS should be focused on providing a top-tier experience for all users, regardless of which series router they own. Denying updates or withholding features for older products feels like a missed opportunity for both Netgear and DumaOS to show their commitment to their customer base. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Best regards, L2W I do not mind being the 🐘 in the room. SOMEONE HAS TO . 15. Hey Netduma fellows, Hope you’re all having a great day! I wanted to share the best settings I’ve found for improving my online gaming experience. Now, I’m not sure if the Netduma team will be happy about this because, honestly, none of these settings are related to the Netduma router. I’ve been using Netduma routers for over five years, starting with the R1 model. Sometimes, they performed great; other times, not so much. Over time, I began to question whether using QoS alone was the best approach—until I was introduced to SQM (Smart Queue Management). Some of you might already be familiar with SQM, CAKE, and FQ_CoDel, but let me tell you—SQM is an absolute game-changer when running on high-performance router hardware with OpenWRT. My Solution for Consistent Performance The key to getting good, consistent results (which has helped me maintain a 3+ K/D ratio in every FPS game) was: 1. Using a high-performance router that supports OpenWRT 2. Enabling CAKE as the QoS algorithm Since CAKE requires significant CPU power, I chose the Flint 2 router, which can efficiently shape over 500 Mbps of traffic while running CAKE. The Best Part? Set It and Forget It The only tuning required is adjusting overhead and MPU (Minimum Packet Unit) settings. Other than that, once set up, it just works. That’s all I wanted to share. Hope this helps someone out there struggling with network consistency!

    Constant Issues

Hi Guys, I was one of the early adopters preordering this router and although I did expect some issues at first till few patch updates came out but it’s been over a year now and still having to endlessly reboot and factory reset router just to get it to function. main issues I get is: •router forgetting settings and things like geo fence suddenly not working and not working again until rebooting or factory resetting and setting it back up. • complete freezes where nothing loads at all. •error saying something along side Duma has not loaded correctly then the try again does nothing •internet speed drops massively to around 3mbps then if I unplug Ethernet and plug it in other router goes back to full speed so a Duma issue. •needing daily reboots at least just to function properly. •every firmware tried has had issues and not just minor ones. •Duma OS not loading at all sometimes doesn’t fix after reboot then again needs factory reset to work temporarily. Just a bit fed up as when it has it’s short periods of working it is great but it’s so inconsistent that I can’t recommend it to anyone in its current state as I spend more time resetting the router and going through the settings than I use it issue free. moved from a XR1000 to this R3 and there has been a few times I’ve went back to the XR as for the most part it is more reliable although both are a mile away from being perfect. I know you guys are a small team so doing my best staying patient but £200 and still waiting a year later to get a bit of my moneys worth out of it, just feels like the customer/community at this point are guinea pigs being free testers not only on the beta firmwares but just on the device as a whole. any help would be great.

  22. Congratulations NETDUMA! This is really a success story from the start.. First starting in the kitchen and now evolving into what I would call a dominate force in the market.. I honestly have to say you guys have done what no other router or software company has ever thought was possible.. Its like the saying.. "Going where no man has gone before". That is honestly such a true statement in this situation.. I have been here for over 6 years and really have to give my hat off to NETDUMA.. Its been a marvel to see them grow.. And the features that really make one speechless.. When it comes to gaming there is no other router software out there that can influence ones experience like a DumaOS router.. Hands down there is none.. I have to say the folks at NETDUMA are truly good folks! I have to give a shout out to Fraser as well.. Watching him work the support forums is amazing.. That guy has patience like no other.. ha ha I thought I had patience but this guy has me beat! Congrats again guys! May there be many more years of success to come. Its well deserved. Zippy.

  24. Go to Ping Optimizer then set your congestion control to LLM ( low latency mode ) Since the release of Black Ops 6 I've been testing different congestion control settings. One match would feel okay. Bullets would register the way I'd expect. Then the very next it would all go to 💩 So I would go into testing different congestion control sliders settings. Even with buffer bloat at an a+ & Ping Potter showing a smooth graph the game would feel very inconsistent. This was incredibly noticeable when trying to Sprint from a dead stop. Going into a private match and just trying to Sprint away felt like I was a millisecond or two behind my controller. For somebody who plays cod consistently this was really noticeable. I'd even noticed this same thing happening in MW3 & could never figure out exactly why. Up into this point I'd never actually tried using LLM within congestion control. Since turn it on the other day all games feel significantly better. Blops 6 feels snappy and responsive. Going into a private match and trying to Sprint away no longer feels sluggish. I'd love to know if this works for others in the community. Sure the NetDuma team would as well. Thx Scott

  27. THIS ARE JUST SETTINGS OUTSIDE OF THEIR GAME CONFIGS. THIS IS MORE TOWARDS THE R3 AND YOUR PC BACKGROUND PROCESES! you will still need to adjust your ingame settings according to your own specs. ect ect ect. this are the ADSOLUTE BEST settings for your bullets to kill as FAST as possible! 1. heres a pic of my fiber without the R3 2. Heres a pic of my speed with the R3 and all the settings i dissable inside the R3 to eliminte latency inside my router. turn these settings off at your own risk. i did and havent usse it in a month w out any issues. 3. run some bufferbloat test until you find your sweat spot 4. nornal speed test web is down for me idk y, but you need to lower your jitter as much as you can even when you do a simple speed test. 5. look at your task manager and if you have more proceses than what I have, It might be the reason why your jitter is always HIGH! or your game feels laggy and dogpoopy. 6. if you need help lowering your proceses without damaging your pc. check this link. it will take you to this guy who is a profesional. he worked with people like clix, bugha, and more pros. watch the video and follow the instructions. MAKE SURE you create a restore point right before your start or do anything. the only thing im experiencing is once i did mine. i cant no longer play music audio without having to RE-install my media player again. i dont mind that. so i dont care. i use my other pc for that. i can still do everything tho, everything works normal. this is the channel. 7. this is my congestion control settings 8. my games feels amazing no more shoot first and die first. anything outside of my control like servers lag lol well yall know how that goes.

  28. I’m at my wits end with this fight. I’ve been dealing with this issue for years now (since BO4) and I’m tired of it, boss. To sum it up, it seems as if I am constantly a 1/4 second behind everything that is going on. Bullets come flying at me out of thin air from enemies I can’t even see. Or if me and another enemy round the corner at the same time, they always see me first. I almost never get out of a 1v1 gunfight without taking damage, because on the enemies screen I just stood there for a second like a bot before shooting back. On the flip side of that, If I am full sprinting anywhere around the map, the server side prediction extrapolates my character out ahead of me. Enemy players will see me come around a corner on THEIR screen before I’ve even come around the corner on MY screen. I’ve tested this thoroughly by sprinting towards corners and stopping 4-5 feet before, pausing (to give the server time to sync up to my actual position), and then running around the corner where I will then have a fighting chance at winning the gunfight. I bot-walk pretty much everywhere now because if I dont, I’m screwed. Oddly enough, I don’t get any latency warnings, no one is packet bursting around the map, and my ping is very stable. The only quasi-workaround that I’ve found to this is using geo-filtering to camp the Florida and NY servers. With a 50-65ms ping, the game seems to run smoother. But ONLY if I play solo. The second I join up with teammates, it goes right back to feeling awful. I can also squeeze a few good games out before the poopy hits the fan again if I unplug and hard reset my router and get some fresh IP’s. This will usually net me 3-5 games where everything feels really smooth and crisp before beginning a rapid degradation in the quality of my connection. This issue is present on both my PS5 and PC! I’m using Quantum Fiber 1gig with a C5500XK ONT (bridge mode) —> XR1000. UPnP is on, NAT is Open, both systems are hard wired. On Speedtest.net I pull 940+/- a few up & down. I have all QoS completely disabled as the buffer bloating is abysmal with it on. I’ve adjusted those sliders every which way and it just feeds me awful results as opposed to running it wide open. 4ms ping, less than 10+ latency down/up with 0.5-1.5 jitter. There has to be something I’m missing. My friends think I’m crazy, and I’m starting to believe it. BUT they’ve seen the proof! When I watch THEM stream, it’s like they’re playing a completely different game than me! Perfect hit detection, mostly in sync with the game, aim assist works like it’s supposed to etc etc Please feel free to ask me anything and I will do my best to answer! Thanks for reading, and I really hope we can find a way to resolve this.

  30. Damn Fraser what in tarnations are they doing over there? Is their staff of one highschool student intern done with this firmware yet? How does this take years for updates? Any tech support you offer must have a 97 percent fail rate due to the awnser inevitably being " sorry our software sucks". What can possible take so amazingly long? Obviously you have nothing to do with it. And this entire thread is useless. Try to make us understand so we may actually ever buy another product from your Momo bosses. Perhaps send someone over to Nvidia and figure out how they have 9999999999npriducts yet still manage new driver updates every other month. What do you think the problem is Frasier you know more than us

  31. Glad you're all having an open converstation about networking, that's great! If I could ask you to take the conversation elsewhere though, this is the Netduma support forum, so not the place to be promoting alternative routers

  32. You guys absolutely fkin KILLED it with 4.0.540. Not sure if something was also done on Spectrum's end, but my avg latency dropped from upper 20s and mid 30s to the high teens and it's a stutter-free as ever! 500d/20u plan. I'm running an Edgerouter 4 from the modem, which handles the main QOS. As you can see, it's playing exceptionally well with my Smartboost priorities on the R3. I've been running this since it was an official update. My wifi is more stable than its ever been as well. No dropouts on wifi or ethernet either. I don't think I'm moving from this FW. Kudos, team.

Can you do the same to answer him? ---Most countries in Central and South America speak Spanish except Brazil which speaks Portuguese--- Italy is in Europe

  34. Need some good settings for hit detection for Warzone for the Netduma R3 for PS5. I did a lot of settings just seems inconsistent I got my ISP router in bridge mode etc

  35. Recent waveform test proves that everything works flawless. Congestion sliders are at 95 percent both

  36. Thanks for your patience, we've actually stopped using (deleted) the telemetry server so the toggle is essentially useless so you may as well leave it disabled. We'll be removing the option in an upcoming firmware.

  37. The update before, I had to downgrade, but this update (4.0.540) has improved my ping and my speeds, on call of duty I've been averaging 60 to 100 kills on multiplayer, it's hitting the mark and this is the best one so far after using it since it was released. Great job guys.

  38. A BETA a year and a half later? This version is prepared for the public and depends on NETGEAR making it public, QOS cannot fail even if it is BETA, it is a router that is said and promoted as the best QOS on the market, and we end up grateful for fixing it. ..

  39. I had QOS Enabled since WZ1 and it felt awesome - now 100s of games in the new integration and something felt off switching of QOS for 2 days now and it is a complete gamechanger for me try it for yourself

  43. There Hi, @Netduma Jack B Thanks for the reply, though it left me feeling like you were aiming for sarcasm instead of solutions—something I didn’t quite expect from someone representing a company in a public forum. Let’s unpack a few things, shall we? Just To Make Things Clear Let’s practice some phonics together: Netgear: That’s “Net-Gear,” as in the hardware company. DumaOS: That’s “Dew-Mah-OS,” as in your software. Now, do these sound like the same thing? No.I didn't think so either. If you think they do , just ask around and see what others say captain obvious. But here’s the kicker: they are inextricably linked when it comes to the XR series, like peanut butter and jelly—except this sandwich has been sitting out for over a year. So, when you clarify, “We’re not the same company as Netgear,” it’s a bit like David denying he knows Goliath after taking the slingshot to the head. Question 2: The Blame Game Your explanation boils down to: DumaOS: “We’re ready to go, software’s done.” Netgear: “Sorry, can’t find our testing team to rubber-stamp your work.” I mean, really? Netgear, the world’s largest router vendor, can’t allocate resources for firmware testing? Sounds more like a power play than a resourcing issue. A year-long delay suggests something bigger—maybe a lesson in “who’s the boss” on the food chain? I’d love to hear what actually happened in those “collaborative” meetings. Maybe the sword-fighting contests ran long? Meanwhile, XR users are caught in the crossfire, left with incomplete updates and vague promises. If the goal was to inspire confidence in your partnership, this situation has been a masterclass in how not to. Question 3: The Abandonment Game You say: “We’re not abandoning the XR series; it just won’t get DumaOS4.” Translation: “We’ll keep the lights on but don’t expect renovations.” That’s reassuring. Will DumaOS5 be coming, or should we brace ourselves for another round of waiting games and finger-pointing? Final Thoughts Your opening response was, let’s say, cheeky. I appreciate a bit of wit, but it landed more like condescension. So, I figured I’d return the favor. That said, if my tone ruffled any feathers, let me extend an olive branch. My frustration comes from a place of being a loyal customer who expected better from a product labeled as "cutting edge." Looking forward to your reply—preferably one that matches the professionalism your customers deserve. What's really going on? Thanks for Reading, Hope were still friends L2W

  44. Hi There, I can see in the logs that when you plug in the ethernet cable, It often is unable to get a LAN IP. no address range available for DHCP request via br-lan We believe we've got a fix for this coming in the next Beta firmware (Hopefully Friday). I'll DM it over to you once we've got it and we can see if it fixes your issue. If you're interested it appears to be a race condition with the DHCP Server: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/base-system/dhcp_configuration#race_conditions_with_netifd

  48. Qos is really only good if your internet suffers from bad traffic example if you have loads of other devices using the internet at the same time Enabling Qos actually makes games worse .. Its been proven this .. What your are doing using qos is limiting your speeds you actally get to lower speeds you want full speeds while gaming ... The thing to keep in mind is QOS is of very limited value when you only control one end. So you can prioritize packets going outbound, but only as far as the next hop (ISP). Inbound not much you can do. Prioritizing within your LAN is feasible but I don't believe Asus QOS does anything with that, you'd need a switch with QOS features. QOS can do more harm than good too, all it is doing is putting pseudo limitations on the connection, making some devices think there is saturation and others think it is all good. This really only works for TCP traffic, UDP not so much. The QOS process also adds a bit of latency to process the packets. If the latency is beyond the router, QOS will do more harm than good (even if it isn't, that's usually the case, it is only needed if you are saturating the connection with other things, like running a large file upload while gaming. If the link is not saturated, QOS will only hurt, not help). It isn't like it is going to accelerate packets beyond the speed of light or anything. ...

  49. I'd suggest setting what you're actually receiving - for Congestion Control/SmartBOOST to be most effective it needs to know what bandwidth it has to play with. An extreme example but say you have 500Mbps speeds but you've entered you have 1000Mbps. You throttle to 70% it would theoretically throttle to 700Mbps but you have less than that so your connection can still be saturated and the router wouldn't be able to counteract it.

  50. Yep connection's are one sided, coming from a career 3kd player every cod i don't even want to look at my kd in this. It's very rare i win a face to face gun fight with someone even though i shoot first. Huuuuge desync between what i see and the other player's experience, i don't know why i am always on the bad side year after year until half way through its lifecycle where i can salvage my kd when the connection finally improves 😄 I've tried a bunch of different routers, nothing helps. It's almost as if the experience is tied to my account
