NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
As above wouldn't do that, stay on RC14 for now, if you get disconnects again try this: In LAN Settings, set the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes and see if that stops the disconnects. -
What speeds do you pay for/expect and what do they drop to? How do you have SmartBOOST/Congestion Control set?

i keep losing connection to modern warfare 3
Netduma Fraser replied to ZOROSLAYzZ's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Could you get the log from Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced when it happens again please and it may tell me more -
The game doesn't have to be added specifically, the device is added correctly. As above, once you're in a game and the ping window has appeared you'll have the option to block it. Alternatively you can manually ping the servers when they appear on the map and then block them in the ping window.

No worries! 99% won't do anything so try 70% for download/upload on Congestion Control and see if that helps. No you shouldn't need to prioritize ports

In terms of them working together there shouldn't be any problem, as long as the 5G router has an ethernet port that the R1 can connect to. Do keep in mind that any wireless forms of internet can be unstable and that inherent instability isn't something the router can counteract. If I was in your shoes and finances permitting I would keep the existing broadband for gaming and then get the 5G router for streaming/downloading purposes, then you get the best of both.

Exactly as above, so if you've prioritized yourself as number one for example yours will be prioritized first and then everything else after. No need to prioritize CoD specifically as well as then your PC. It shouldn't cause any negative affects no but its just making more unnecessary work for the router.

There is the potential that we might add an AP mode for the R2 so that for those with the R2 + R3 both can be used

NETDUMA R3 USB
Netduma Fraser replied to DARKNESS's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Netgear make the hardware and settings for the XR series and so it is an inherent feature available to all their routers. It's something we would have to develop ourselves. It is something I'd advocating to have included. -
Apple Eco system and wifi extenders not working
Netduma Fraser replied to LovedJames's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Thank you for your understanding, it's much appreciated, I will do my best to update you once it has been resolved. Do keep an eye on the R3 Support forum as the firmware would be posted there and the change log will detail the fixes. Yes that'll be the same issue. -
Okay thank you, I'll pass it onto the team

Okay I'll pass this onto the team to see if we can reproduce it, thanks for the report -
Restarting R3 everyday to get to the settings.
Netduma Fraser replied to sw3ar's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Go to Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced and you can click download. As soon as possible after the issue happens before you do a reboot, if you do a reboot the information will be lost. If you do it quickly once the issue happens then you can let us know the time and we can try to match it in the logs. -
Hi all, thank you for all the feedback so far, it's really helpful, the team are working hard on fixes for the next update. I'm going to close this topic as it is really hard for me to effectively support so many different people in one topic. If you have any issues or questions please do make a new topic and I'll be able to support you there much better.

What is it showing you when you can't get in exactly?
-
Okay thanks and what kind of internet traffic is happening when you see it, general browsing, uploading, streaming video, downloading etc?
-
Did you run Ping Optimizer either during the wizard or after though as this would have set Congestion Control for you and would then potentially explain why as it does limit bandwidth speeds to eliminate lag/bufferbloat

i keep losing connection to modern warfare 3
Netduma Fraser replied to ZOROSLAYzZ's topic in Netduma R3 Support
When this happens do you see anything blocked on the Geo-Filter map at all? Do you mean that you're losing connection in the menu or when you're in a game? -
In regards to the high CPU usage are you still seeing that? If so, how many devices do you have connected to the router and how are they connected? How many are online at any one time and what kind of internet usage is happening?
-
Yes port forwarding now on the R3 should allow you to have an open NAT without it being a security risk. Yes the features will work, just make sure to connect all your devices to the R3 so it can control the network effectively

You'd need to add them eeverytime, there is no way for us to know who your friend is
