  1. Been through a bunch of posts and it seems like this is a known issue, but hopefully I can help with nailing down some of the "when" and "what" that appears to be happening with it. I've personally had this happen twice with port forwarding and possibly a few more times with the netgear openvpn service. I'll usually find out the port forwarding is broken when I can't reach my game servers or one of my VPN servers. The netgear openvpn will come back online by disabling and re-enabling the service. The only way I've found to recreate the port forwarding is to factory reset and recreate everything from scratch. I run a home lab with my game servers so I am regularly adjusting DNS and DHCP settings on the xr1000 and right now my theory is that changing settings on the LAN, WAN, or Internet pages somehow affects the port forwarding. Where I need to factory reset again I'll be checking my port forwarding page in between each change I make. Current port forward screen: Re-adding one of the "missing" rules:
  2. Hello, I am enjoying the 3.0 version of the DumaOS greatly - delivers on everything so far (sometimes the interface loads slow/crashes but a reboot fixes that, and I'm sure you guys have further optimization coming in future updates). Anyways, what I want for a future update is the ability to enable/disable port forward rules. This will be useful, as I own several gaming devices and having to delete/re-input all the rules per device that share the same ports is very annoying. A simple solution would be to enable a rule for a certain device and then having the option to disable it later on in case I want to use the same ports on a different device. Just something to consider in future updates. Thank you.
  3. Hello Netduma Family, was curios if i was to port forward & a game used tcp ports that i wanted to prioritize what would i set my traffic prioritization to? i have used upnp, love everything about this router & dumaos software, i just want to understand how to prioritize traffic thats (TCP) (SHOWN BELOW) this Port forwarding Protocol table for battlefront is used as an (example.) If i was wanting to prioritize whats shown below. What would my traffic prioritization be set to? upnp would only open 3659 udp and prioritize 3659 udp. BUT i want to prioritize 3659 tcp as thats shown down below as well E.G* source port 1024-65535 for both? TCP & UDP? Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017) - Playstation 4 TCP: 1935, 3478-3480, (3659), 10000-29999, 42100-42200 UDP: 3074, (3659), 3478-3479, 6000 Thank You! + if you're using adblocker disable it or pause it on your gaming device ONLY. + if you're using (upnp) disbale dumaos games and use games console select (gaming/voice) & select Apply to wan ( this is must have settings for gamers ) + if you do port forward and dont care about prioritizing tcp ports select games console, select (gaming & voice) & Apply To Wan.
  4. just got the XR1000 and when i was setting it up and making sure all my ports were open across my ps4, ps3, PC for the ps4 call of duty black ops 3 port 3074 is open for PC (manually added ports to have a open NAT for GTA 5 on PC as well and port 6672 is open) call of duty black ops 3 ( uses a different port ) is open for ps3, call of duty black ops 1 & 2 port 3074 is closed and i get NAT Type moderate on my NETDUMA R2 i had no trouble with having more than one console using port 3074, i had alot of problems with the wifi dropping out and the router crashing then rebooting itself so i got my hands on the XR1000 port triggering is Enabled UPnP is Enabled portforwarding rules were set for ( GTA 5 PC, Port opened ) ( PS4 Black ops 3, port opened ) didn't let me manually add UDP 3074 for my ps3 to have open nat on black ops 1 + 2 i've set Nat filtering from secured to OPEN, didn't help with opening port:3074 across all my consoles
  5. SO. this is the 2nd time I've purchased a netduma. had an r1. it was alright back then. I decided since my connection speeds and what not were beyond the specs of what it could handle and I had a lot of devices I wanted to get an upgrade to make the most out of my connection. Now I have an XR700 nighthawk. Not happy. always have double NAT on Xbox and my PlayStation always type 2. I haven't used hardly any of the features on the router since I got it because I was waiting for tutorials since I got the ability when some new beta firmware came out that changed its operation a little bit. With that being said. I have had to restart from factory, not once but FOUR times. If I even try to use any additional features to improve NAT the router gives me crazy connection issues and if i undo all the changes I made to it, it doesn't care and the problems persist until I reset it and that is an annoyance all in its own setting all my stuff back up to it. I recently tried port forwarding because one of the games (Dead By Daylight I have discovered and I LOVE this game) has just all of a sudden stopped working. I went online to find port guides. first thing I found was sites saying disable uPnP to start the process and then put in the ports yada yada yada. well when I specifically tried to look for a simple guide to help me as a template from start to finish, i was shocked I simply can not find a tutorial for this router. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. So immediately I had accomplished nothing and decided I did not know how to do everything perfectly and turned uPnP back on (only change I made) and omfg now my connection is struggling with MULTIPLE GAMES. I'm getting negative ping rates on servers for other games so I cant join any but one server or my games have stopped working together all in general. Only reason I haven't reset it again is cause last time I did I felt like the router i paid a lot for almost bricked cause i had to go through so much effort to get it to come back on an hour after hitting that factory reset. For a product that is so highly regarded, I would have expected some kind of support on basic things like forwarding examples. a simple 2 minute video somewhere. I couldn't find a consistent example on something basic like that through hours on googling how to port forward for this specific router. I'm such a paranoid individual cause of the issues I've had I don't want to do anything else with it and for the money I don't think you should have to be extremely versed to use it. I love that its supposed to have all these features to help me dominate the lag. But if you are unable to find out how to use these features with ease then what's the point when other routers are cheaper and don't give these problems ?
