  2. no matter what country i try i get the same error ? its been working fine the last few months ? no settings were changed ? any help ?
  3. I upgraded to the new r2 software I have tried both nolag vpn and express VPN which now no longer work in hybrid vpn ? It just says failed.. Any help ?
  4. Disconnects start to occur after a few days of being connected. Log can be found here VPN Config file attached, I have tried with client added to the top of config as seen suggested in other threads. Firmware is latest available my_expressvpn_uk_-_east_london_udp.ovpn
  5. I have been using hide my ass vpn well for 3 years. No settings have been modified. It hasn't been working since a few months. I need help.
  6. I am currently surprised by the Hit Detection using the XR1000. I even tested this VPN on warzone where I believe many people prefer Easy Lobbies!
  7. tiring to setup CyberGhost VPN on Neduma R2 Router......
  8. So I am having intermittent connection drops to my device whenever I use hybrid VPN. Anywhere from 5-10min, the PS5 will drop it's lan connection, reconnect, and won't happen again until the PS5 is restarted. I've tried rebooting and factory resets, but these disconnects continue to happen. Sometimes the disconnect will keep happening until I power-cycle both the xr500 and PS5. Any suggestions? Is this a known issue on the XR500? Thanks!
  9. Hi, I've been using the Netduma R2 for over a year now, with manual uploaded VPN configuration under the Hybrid VPN option in the Netdruma R2 router and my Geograpical Region is not matching in-game with the config I uploaded. This started since 20-04-2022 as it was working fine on 19-04-2022. I was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same since then? What I've tried: Re-uploaded the manual Express VPN configuration in the Netduma R2 (India via UK) - Did not work Manually tested the Express VPN on my PC to see any difference - Location was correct on my PC Contacted Express VPN support to see if they know of any bugs or issues - They replied (obviously) that his is not something they have been testing before, as in using a VPN to divert your location on a Console and could not help me with it. And before you start on "Why do you VPN your console / Warzone game in the first place" simply because I can and want to, but that is not the point of this Topic now is it Hope anyone can advise or help in this and if you need more information please let me know what you want to know or see. Regards, SPECTRUM
  10. Hi everyone.! i am wondering something i have xbox x and i am about to buy ghost vpn. I wonder if I can use it in R2 and xbox?
  11. Hello, Let me begin by saying I've received my router 2 days back and had my hands on it most of my free time since then, it really does have quite a few exciting and promising features. Therefore I see a lot of potential and hopefully there is maturity at the end of the roadmap as well. My main reason for picking it was somewhat seamless VPN capability integration, also this is where I faced most of the issues, therefore this is the area I am going to focus on, especially after going through this forum and seeing that quite a few customers also rely on this functionality in their day to day operations. First, maybe some minor ideas: Power button. I could not find it, neither looking all over the device, nor in the user guide. Did I miss it? You do need to reset your router time from time and the only way to do it is either by connecting to its control panel (that is if it is responding) and doing it there, or trying to unplug it from power supply. Not sure if it's healthy. More templates of established VPN providers (maybe at least Top5?) in basic VPN Setup. It would eliminate a lot of hassle, also reduce support requests that you get around VPN, since it would be tested out, reducing problem surface for users. Especially given it is one of more complicated setups, as per your KB. Resiliency: Reconnecting to the VPN server if connection drops/session expires/etc. Not sure if it is doing it now, but it did not seem like, I need to connect to control panel to reconnect it, or even resubmit all the same details, as connection state simply says Failed. Ability to add more than one VPN server in configuration for service continuity purposes. If one becomes unavailable, it could revert to the next specified. VPN speed. I am sure you know about it, but enabling VPN bleeds native speed provided by router dramatically. Ran couple of tests, kept server the same for consistency purposes (both, VPN server and dest server of speedtest): [VPN] Speed connected with laptop to NetDuma WiFI with Hybrid VPN ON: [NATIVE] Speed connected with laptop to NetDuma WiFI with Hybrid VPN OFF: [NATIVE] Speed connected with laptop to non-Duma router WiFI on same network with no VPN: [VPN] Speed connected with laptop to non-Duma router WiFI with VPN ON via VPN provider's proprietary desktop app: As you can see, NetDuma router beats the other one (Ubiquiti) hands down, but when VPN comes into play, all this native speed advantage is wasted. Desktop VPN app is outperforming, which is disappointing for me. Now, the issues/questions: As I said, I was hoping for seamless VPN integration, with almost like fire and forget configuration, however this was not the case and had to deep dive into making it work. Problem was DNS leak, and managed to fix it only after multiple trial and error attempts, where I found the firmware and upgraded it. Interesting that such issue was still persisting at v.3 However, here came stability problem. It would run for some time, then disconnect, randomly. Not sure what might be causing this, apart from when I login to NordVPN service from another device, on that occasion it seems to drop connection on Duma as well, even if I am connecting to completely different VPN server, through desktop app on a device connected on different WAN. Is this VPN provider problem, or something is glitching on NetDuma? Logs are gone in Hybrid VPN section after upgrading firmware to the latest. It just does not show anything on that tab. Tried firefox, chrome, different devices - nothing. Not critical, but annoying when performing diagnostics. In latest firmware release notes, it says: "Added ability to use specific IPv4/IPv6 DNS in HybridVPN". I do not see such option in HybridVPN section. In Network Settings > WAN > Network > DHCP - Yes, but it was there before. Nothing in HybridVPN related to DNS. What does "Use upstream DNS" exactly mean in this configuration? Is it same as default automatic value on windows network adapter, or with some additional functionality? Asking, because prior to updating to latest firmware, when VPN would be ON, it would use ISP's DNS and would end in DNS leakage, but would at least resolve the requests, however after update, it does not resolve any requests, while on VPN, unless I manually add DNS server addresses of Nord VPN's service. Shouldn't it pick those up automatically, and if not those, then at least ISP default ones? And finally, what is the best configuration to use purely for VPN setup in the router? Maybe there are other ways to solve DNS leakage apart from adding VPN's DNS server addresses manually, or something else I missed? For convenience, I added redacted ovpn file here. Thank you for your input! lt8.nordvpn.com.udp.ovpn
  12. Good idea the QoS but for me totally useless, sadly the only way i have to play is to be connected through a VPN, long story short i Live in Peru and here there isnt any game server, literally 0. Closest server of basically any game is in Chile, i ping Chile 30ms with vpn 200ms without vpn can you believe this? well is the sad truth. In all of this QoS isnt triggered when i play, because it hasnt way to know that im actually playing if im over a vpn.... Too sad. Any way to fix it? maybe to set up the QoS to autoenable when i connect a specific device i know there is something like that but i didnt really understand how to
  13. I was interested in using the Hybrid VPN to segregate some traffic on my network but I've ran into a few issues. Router: XR 500 v2.3.2.130 VPN: HMA After signing up for HMA, I tried to connect but it looks like they may have change their encryption method or something Error connecting over TCP: WARNING: --ns-cert-type is DEPRECATED. Use --remote-cert-tls instead. It looks like this should be an easy enough fix to change the flag in the OpenVPN config, but I'm no expert. UDP connects, but all traffic goes through the VPN (seems like all or nothing), not using the IP ranges I entered for services (easy test was setting ports 80 and 443 and asking google what my IP was). I saw another post where it suggested using TCP but again that never connects. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  14. Hi, how is my vpn? it it Good or not? because i dont see any city or country
  15. Ok so overall my internet is not as stable as I would like. Cox knows that their internet is not the best for gaming so they set up their VPN called Elite Gamer. Normally where my ping would be in the high 80s, it can cut it down to around 17 if it choose the correct servers. So it fixes my issue mostly. I would still like to take advantage of Nighthawk XR500's geofilter but anytime I try to use XR500 and Elitegamer together I get a lot of lagspikes. My normal setup goes: COX modem > XR500 > Gaming PC all hardwired ethernet. For testing purposes I connected an ethernet from my Cox modem directly to my gaming pc and when I play games with EG VPN on there are little to no lag spikes. What are some troubleshooting steps I can try to see if I can get the Cox modem and EG VPN to work smoothly with XR500??
  16. So Im trying to connect my vpn (AirVPN), the open VPN profile they provided me doesnt have nor username nor password i wrote them an email and they answered: We authenticate clients via certificate and key, and not via username and password. You should disable the option to enter username and password, if possible (if you don't have an explicit disable option, try to leave username and password blank). Of course leaving it blank dosnt work
  17. So, for my understanding about the QoS, if it is set to AUTO, will be triggered as soon as I start a game lets say on my Xbox Series X. And until this point everything is kinda easy to understand. But my question then is: What will happen if I hybrid Vpn my Xbox Series X? (trough netduma rapp of course) Infact It will create kind of a paradox where the Xbox Series X is routed through Vpn so not recognized by QoS as an Xbox Series X so the Qos wont be triggered making itself useless.. Right? Right??!😰
  18. I set the hybrid VPN to Saudi Arabia and close the circle around there with ping assist to 0, I just cant find any games. Can you guys be so kind to try yourself to connect to saudi and search for a warzone game? Just to doublecheck that isnt a problem from my end?
  19. Hi, I’m trying to setup nolagvpn on my netduma r2. Has anyone successfully done this and if so, can you please help me? Because I’ve been following the instructions on the nolagvpn website but every time I click “connect” on the hybrid vpn setup is doesn’t work.
  20. Hey guys, Just wondering if there is a way to prioritise my PC's traffic while playing Warzone with the anit-bufferbloat while I have a VPN connected. Without the VPN I can just pop in the ports for Warzone and it prioritises my PC every time but as soon as I connect my VPN to a nearby city, it doesn't seem to recognise those ports anymore. I've looked into the hybrid VPN and connected my external VPN to the router, also adding those same ports the "dont run these ports through my VPN section" however, still didn't recognise my PC with that "red light" not coming on. Very frustrating not having warzone on the recognised games list.. Everything works perfectly when my VPN is disconnected but as soon as I turn it on, even a Zoom call on another device gives me lag and packet bursts. All with 100mbps! If anyone knows the way around this, it would be much appreciated! Thank you.
  21. So I play warzone on Xbox one, and I currently use Nord VPN to play in lobby's that are more suitable for my skill level. To do this I connect my Xfinity modem to my laptop, and using a second rj45 Jack on the laptop I connect it to my Xbox one x. This works for me, I am able to get into foreign lobby's but my ping ends up being 150+. Can the duma router do anything for my situation? Will it enable me to use VPN to play in foreign lobby's with a lower ping?
  22. Hi , Im based in europe. when i try to play on other servers EG. USA/RUSSIA/SOUTH AFRICA it will either not find a game or have a very high and unplayable ping. i set my geo location around the servers located in the country i try to play in and i use express VPN to connect to said country. im wondering can anyone help with getting matches in foreign countrie and any tips and tricks they use to find 'playabe matches' as the VPN changes my location in game but the ping is still quite high. any help would be greatly appreciated. Phil
  23. I paid for pureVPN and set it up in the R2 according to the directions it looks like the purevpn server listed in the duma firmware is out of date. will not connect. PureVPN tech support recommends changing the server to: th2-auto-tcp.ptoserver.com but there is no way to change server in the duma GUI see logs: Thu Sep 23 12:53:23 2021 OpenVPN 2.4.7 mipsel-openwrt-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] Thu Sep 23 12:53:23 2021 library versions: OpenSSL 1.0.2p 14 Aug 2018, LZO 2.10 Thu Sep 23 12:53:23 2021 WARNING: No server certificate verification method has been enabled. 24. Cordialement
  25. Hello folks! I recently played warzone (duos) (fill up) with someone (jagra) and found bot lobbies with a netduma router. He used the geofilter, VPN and a live lobby KD tracker app. Unfortunately, I only spoke to him for a short time and it is still possible. He told me he uses a live lobby track app, but I can't find any more that tracks the lobbies live. (kd) Does any of you happen to know how it works? I played 2 rounds with him and it really works. If who knows how it works and someone knows an app where you can still live track, please get in touch! Or Jagra if you see the message, contact me!
