Welcome R2 owners! We want your feedback!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. When the R2 is connected, access the modem interface, does it see the R2 at all as a connected device and give it an IP address? -

Try adjusting settings on Google Chrome/Firefox or Brave and then see if when you go into the app the settings have saved. For the app, pinch to zoom like you do for a picture on the phone, that will zoom in easily, then allowing you to draw the polygon. Yeah we're working on Instagram. -

Click the whitelist tab and then just add it as a domain to the whitelist and then it should work fine. We will continue to optimize it, it's still very new so we're improving as we go. So you're saying using the DumaOS Mobile app you change settings and then when you access the interface it's like you didn't set them at all. What is the issue with the Geo-Filter on the app exactly? -

Could you let us know specific websites you're seeing this issue on? If you add them to the whitelist does it work? We're looking into the Instagram slow downs. What is the issue with the DumaOS app? -

Ping Heatmap suggestion/issue thread
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
You won't hit those speeds with WiFi but wired you should get pretty close to those speeds, In the 900's I should think. Every connection is different though so it really depends. -

@Mobel I totally understand the frustration, I experience it every day through those with the issues like DHCP etc. That's why when I had the opportunity recently to reach out and talk to one of the NG leads I took it so I can talk to them personally about it. I'm doing all I can to get things sorted and push for updates etc and of course the team is working their butt off at the same time. -
Ping Heatmap suggestion/issue thread

Hey, welcome to the forum! Sometimes servers aren't pingable and then the next time you try it it will work. In regards to BO4 some servers weren't pinging, we looked into it and did a cloud update literally a few hours ago and they're all now appearing and pinging correctly. -

I should have phrased it better really, I'm not referring to bug fixes etc, of course those are expected. I was more referring to major new features, Rapp store that allows you to evolve the router (when available). Both routers were released in 2018 but yes I get your point. It has been slow on the updates. When the Rapp store comes out they will be faster as we can update Rapps individually. -

I agree, you didn't pay to get that issue and in theory you don't need 3.0 to get a fix for that either as it is a Netgear issue. It's been so long now that I'm now talking to one of the NG leads for this specific issue to try and get them to put a fix out. Sorry if what I said came out a little harsh, being asked each day where firmware is, it gets a little hard to reword the same response over and over. Do people deserve the issues they're getting? Of course not, I can only do so much but I'm not a developer and I can't give people what they want at the moment. -

I'll just offer some advice quickly but I'm sure there are others who would be able to help better Have you looked up online what the BSOD errors seem to indicate is the issue? Could the PC be overheating? Do you need to reapply thermal paste for example? -

We are still working on it, shouldn't be much longer - I'd be surprised if it wasn't out this year. -

We don't provide one, you can find free ones online to use. For example there is a free one on the Microsoft Store for Windows that I've used. -

Disable mirror mode and give 2.4/5GHz different names. Connect devices individually to one of these. Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channels and change to those. Experiment with the widths to see what gives the best speed/range. -

What happens exactly when it stops working? Do devices disconnect? Speed gets heavily reduced? -

Alex has been very busy recently, he hasn't given me a firm date on when he'll do the next update but he said he'll try and have a day soon of updating all cloud related features.
