It should stay on what you had it set as before the reboot, assuming the setting wasn't just changed before the reboot as may not have had time to apply in that setting.

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
I'll let Alex respond to this properly tomorrow as he is working on the cloud. Appreciate the effort you've gone into! I don't think Alex did a cloud update on Friday but he'll be able to confirm. I know some of your screenshots are showing different things but for the mislocated ones could you use the form please? We've tried going off screenshots before and it adds a lot of time just trying to digest all the information and make it usable. I think it would also be best if you could zip up your photos in future as it makes the topic really long and hard to tell where you are when going down the pictures. -
It's possible that VLAN could be causing it but lets take a look at some other options first. Most WiFi issues I've seen are to do with smart connect being enabled as not all devices support it very well, especially older devices. Have you tried disabling smart connect and connecting directly to 2.4GHz?

Help with ping/fortnite
Netduma Fraser replied to AdamShowtime's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
The game will try and connect you to whatever server is available at the time and they probably have their own calculations on what server to put you on. As I mentioned that is how the game works and we can't work around that as they pick the server once you're loading in. All you can do is leave in spectating mode and then just keep leaving the lobby until you get into the server you want, I realise that's frustrating but there isn't much that can be done if you want that server every time. -
Help with ping/fortnite

That definitely couldn't hurt. It's impossible to say, there could easily be 100's you're right. I don't think you need to specifically add them to the deny list because you'll still load in and block it anyway and get kicked back. I'd just keep it on spectating mode, see if you get the server you want and if not back out straight away, it is probably quicker than waiting to be kicked each time. -

It's worth mentioning that 'allowing' a server by adding it to the list does not guarantee you will get it every time. It simply means you will be able to connect to it despite whatever Geo-Filter settings you may have at the time (e.g. if it would normally be blocked by being outside the radius it would be allowed) but this does not mean you will get it all the time. The only thing you have control over when it comes to ping is the distance (done already) and local congestion. If you're not using QoS currently I would suggest you do so and this could potentially lower the ping if you had congestion. Most likely that when it shows as a low ping briefly that isn't the case and it's just establishing a connection. The way Fortnite works is it only searches for a server once you're already loading into that player running around lobby. If you block it at this stage you have to wait for it to kick you back. You essentially have to keep trying for a server until you get the one you want.
