  1. What does the link speeds say for all the ports in the Device Manager table view?
  2. They can be quite loose, so screw it in as much as possible and it should stand. Email [email protected] and they may be able to provide an extra one.
  3. Hey, welcome to the forum! Some good points above. R2 is if you're mainly interested in the software - DumaOS is more optimized for it, it has all our developed features and we'll be able to get faster updates out. The XR500 has DumaOS 3.0 in beta at the moment so not as refined on that front at the moment and does not have Adblocker. The XR500 does have better hardware. Both can Geo-Filter.
  4. Totally understand that. Follow this guide to reinstall the latest firmware via TFTP - this will install the firmware bypassing the boot process and any issues that may be there. Then do a factory reset afterwards, this will give you the freshest install possible and it should work fine after that https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
  5. Do you see anything get blocked on the map when you get kicked at all? If you're trying to force Spanish servers you'll probably want to lower the radius. Also be warned, actual people who live in Spain are finding it hard to force them. They probably play well because hardly anyone can connect!
  6. In System Information in the Rapp panel options change the number of retries to 5 and then reboot. Should stop the loading issues happening as much.
  7. You need to allow whatever is being blocked on the Geo-Filter for Discord and then it will work. If you ping using the terminal 192.168.1.1 does it get a response?
  8. Thanks for the info on what you've done/tried and the comparison with another AX router, I will get Alex to try it out when he is back next week and see if he can reproduce.
  9. I'm assuming you still get access to the internet even without the interface? What IP does your computer get from the router?
  10. What improvements would you like to see? I couldn't say whether Adblocker will return just yet. Netgear make the decisions regarding hardware so I couldn't say why they made specific decisions.
  11. Haha testing team I was a few years ago but not now. Great to hear that. Dev time has been reduced due to the holidays but everyone will be back in full force on Monday, I don't have a timeline currently, once everyone is back I can get a better idea.
  12. If you're changing the settings while you're on the game then it won't work because it will already have made a connection that will stay active so you will need to relaunch the game after making changes like that and it should then apply. How big is your radius?
  13. I've been on the team since before the company launched in 2014 so yeah I was 😂 Okay great so is it all working now?
  14. Hey, welcome to the forum! I don't think there is anything in the current beta build which would help but please do try it and if it doesn't work then let us know and we can investigate further https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Pro-Gaming-DumaOS-3-0/bd-p/en-home-beta-npg-duma
  15. Thank you for that, does the same happen if you use the LAN IP to try and connect?
  16. Hey, welcome to the forum! Can you provide a screenshot of the whole web browser please of what it shows when you've tried to access the interface?
  17. Okay great thank you, that indicates it should be a problem with the QoS settings. Just before that, did you disable WMM in Advanced WiFi settings by any chance? If so you will need to re-enable that and it will work. Put Congestion Control on Never, Reset Distribution for Bandwidth Allocation and make sure both Share Excess options are enabled and finally disable any Traffic Prioritization rules, then retest the speed please. If you get full speeds that's good, then just enable CC on Always and see if upload adheres to what you've limited it to.
  18. Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. What happens when you go to 192.168.1.1 or routerlogin.net in the web browser?
  19. I haven't specifically used the media/readyshare aspect for a long time and don't have the capacity to do so currently so I couldn't say, likely you do need a DLNA app that can connect to it.
  20. Hey, welcome to the forum! Have you followed the suggestions so far to rectify the issue?
  21. I don't think ReadyShare was part of their phone app. I'd recommend contacting Netgear directly as it's a NG feature rather than DumaOS so they'd be better to help with this: https://www.netgear.com/support/contact.aspx
  22. Is it one of the models listed here for XR500? If not then there is a chance it won't work: https://kb.netgear.com/18985/Will-my-USB-drive-work-with-ReadySHARE
  23. ReadyShare still is available on the XR500. Is the drive compatible/the right file type for the router to use? If you want to do it on your phone then search DLNA in the app store and it may have something.
  24. Happy New Year! Which router are you talking about specifically? If it is enabled then you'll find them in the router settings under USB Storage. They may be a DLNA server you can download on the phone to access.
  25. Disable QoS entirely from the Congestion Control 3 line option menu and see if the speed changes then. Also are you using IPv6, VLAN or PPPoE?
