  1. Hello there! As title states I am trying to forward my port 3389 to remotely connect to my desktop from a laptop thats outside of the local LAN. Localy it worked but I cant seem to forward the port? Whenever I search for a checker if its forwarded it says no ( Maybe the online checkers are bad whatever its the only thing that cant be working at this point) So I was wondering what am I doing wrong or what should I do actualy besides going into settings - advanced settings - port forwarding - and setting up the port, Desktop IP? Thanks for any kind of help!
  2. So today we saw the new beautiful machine R2!! Congratulations guys!!! i have a lot of questions about that... you say that it will be release 6th August with the DumaOS 3.0. That means that we have also the DumaOS 3.0 that day?? On the XR routers?? I hope that you will not give a time exclusive on the R2... And now I want ONE honest answer... I must sell my XR500 to buy the R2???? Which is better?????

  4. Hi All, Just picked up a XR500 and looking at the OS3 Beta after previously having an XR300 Does anyone know why it shows no UK Warzone servers and why so many failed on the heatmap. I get the same for Cold War and Modern Warfare Successful: 11 Failed: 36 I'm on sky broadband and the default settings on their router, simply connected the LAN port.
  5. OK so I’ve had the XR1000 for some time now and it’s been great, solved all of my poor WiFi issues, but CC and QoS have been flaky. My setup is a Netgear DM200 modem -> XR1000. 40Mb/10Mb. Latest firmware 1.0.0.52. I’ve tried using congestion control mainly due to having several consoles and people streaming in the house, and if one of my consoles decides it’s gonna update a game while I’m mid game on Siege, my ping goes crazy. so I tried CC and let it do the Auto configure, though every single time I make a change in the QoS menu, it tells me that the Rapp is taking longer than expected and to wait a while. This happens every time, and I don’t believe it’s actually managing to make the changes or apply the settings. The auto config found a 56% download and 60% upload was ideal, and I set it to always, but I started a download, Speedtest etc, and please correct me if I’m wrong but I assumed that if this was set to always, then the max speed any device can use is the 56% which translates to 22Mb in my case? Even QoS doesn’t really work, since my Xbox can hog the entire connection, and when I start a YouTube video it buffers like crazy? Most other features seem to work ok in every other Rapp menu, but QoS just tells me it’s taking too long and I don’t trust that it’s doing what’s it’s supposed to.
  6. Hi everyone, We know what you’re thinking, and we get it. We said R2 updates would be frequent (and they will be), but this update ended up enveloping a lot more than we initially expected. That’s frustrating for you and for us too. However, we hope you’ll find the wait was worth it – this is a huge update with fixes and changes across the board. Feedback on the R2 has been great, helping us to improve everyone’s experience while fixing specific problems too. The changelog below shows just much work has gone into this update. This is the latest in DumaOS and it sets the stage for new features we’ll reveal in the near future. 7. Hey guys for future updates can we have more frequent updates with small changes instead of waiting for one overall big update?
  8. Looking to hear everyone's input and suggestions on what firmwares their using that aren't beta versions of 3.0 and also hasn't give yall any issues and that functions correctly as it should be. I'm just looking for something that is reliable/stable that lets me use all the functionalities with no problems such loop waiting times for it to load and ect as well wifi connection drops . Pretty much i'm tired of having to constantly factory reset at this point.
  9. Hey guys! So I was wondering if there's any difference between the Congestion Control feature in my R1 and the Anti Bufferbloat in the rest of the DumaOs powered routers. Like is the Anti Bufferbloat better or something like that? Because I was thinking about getting the XR500 but it's really expensive for what it can offer to me in my particular case instead of the R1. I undestand that obviously the XR500 is way better in terms of hardware and WiFi range and strength, but it's not something that I'm in need of really. Thanks in advanced.
  10. Hi Duma Army, and welcome to the first Developer Q&A thread! This your chance to ask the team about the current development and exciting future of DumaOS. Our developers will answer you directly as soon as they can (though this won't be live). Before we begin, lets get the caveats out of the way: - Keep it on topic: If you have technical issues with your router this isn't the place to get support. We'll be redirecting and deleting irrelevant posts to keep this thread on topic. - Keep it civil: Trolling, name-calling or general rudeness will not be tolerated on this thread. Please choose your words carefully and adhere to the forum rules to avoid suspension. - Keep it brief: Our developers are hard at work and their time is precious. They will try to answer every question they can, but they might not be able to answer every one - especially if your question is two pages long! Spam will not be tolerated. DumaOS development is driven by your feedback, so we're super excited to hear from you all. If this goes well we may host more Q&A sessions in the future. Fire away with any questions you have and a developer will answer as soon as possible!
  11. Hello, I received the NetdumaR2 yesterday. Everything was running fine. Until I updated firmware today since the update firmware I'm unable to log in DumaosOs. I've tried different browsers, cleared cache and cookies, Turning off antivirus. But I'm still unable to login. I wouldn't know how to downgrade firmware without logging in.
  12. Hey so I've been using the original firmware for years and have had no issues with speed (I am able to get 80mpbs down) but after upgrading to the duma OS (both V2 and V3) My speeds are caped under 25mbps. My current setup is a tplink modem connected straight to the R1 on pppoe. Also I find it strange that the connection benchmark is reading at least 74mbps speed but my browser does not on my pc and neither does my phone on my WiFi mesh Network (they are all connected to the R1.
  13. I was just wondering if I need all devices connected to the R2? My moms phone and 2 bell TV receivers that use 0.01% of use age and my moms phone uses barely anything because she only uses the internet a couple times, I have my computer, PS4 pro and my phone on the R2. The Tv boxes are connected view WPS
  14. So I know this is a weird question but shooters shoot am I right? I have bell fiber the 1GB down and 750 up with a netduma r2 but I don’t have a desktop nor laptop that can achieve those speeds not even close neither from WiFi or Ethernet so running a Speedtest to put into QoS bandwidth speeds so I put random numbers in, I had 730 download and 696 upload for the network settings. I was wondering what should I realistically put in to achieve my actual full speeds I ran the auto detect on the R2 and it gave me 850 download and 720 upload. Should I leave it as that or should I put in my 1 gig down and 750 upload? confusing to my walnut brain : also to add on is there any network settings I should have turned off? I have IPv6 turned off both general and WAN. Allow ping, port scan, and syn flood are enabled, should any of those be turned off?
  15. I used to automatically sign in before on my mac but now on my other computer I cant sign in because it asks for login id and password that I do not know or remember. Please help thank you
  16. Hello, i have been trying to get the vpn on the router working, i would like to use wireguard - Mullvad VPN. just when i download the config from mullvad i get [Interface] PrivateKey = Address = DNS = [Peer] PublicKey = AllowedIPs = 0.0.0.0/0,::0/0 Endpoint = (i took out the info) although i cannot find how i am suppose to put this when everyone is using configs with certs in, which clearly look alot different? i would like some guidance on how i am suppose to do this, i would like to use wireguard over openvpn. is anyone using mullvad with this router? please get back to me, many thanks
  17. Hey DumaFam! My name is Kirneill from SenseQuality and I optimize Professional Players/Streamers/Influencers. (Some of you You might know me from my old name SweatPapi) I just wanted to show my appreciation to the DUMA family and answer some questions you guys might have 😊 To give you a summary, we Optimize almost everything. PCs, Networks, Streams, even Residential Construction. I got lucky as Call of Duty switched to online + Before we started, A lot of people (outside of us nerds🤓) didn't believe in Optimization. The secret to Optimizations? I'll tell you: I don't know everything & I never assume someone's situation is the same. (It never is) This approach leads to better decisions, research, and results. That's pretty much it😊 Why do we recommend DumaOS? Because even though we work with almost all advanced routers (OpenWRT, PFSense,Etc.) , we recommend DumaOS as it's user friendly and people can use it after we finish optimizing them! (Ex: Geofilter) Duma focuses on delivering a user friendly environment and it saves us a lot of explaining while providing the same value than other routers. (AT A LOWER COST, WUT?)🤣 To me, It's about delivering the best most consistent experience! Here is examples of Optimizations: JOEWOE.mp4 So Ask Me Anything and i'll do my best to answer! I appreciate all of you!
  18. So my geo filter wouldn’t load up. So I pressed reboot. After doing so waiting for the Duma to reboot. The web page said I wasn’t authorized or on a secure network. So once the duma loaded up I thought it would work but the page still won’t let me access it. I put in the username and passcode that is on the bottom of the Netduma. Please help if anyone can. I just got the netduma a few days ago and already having issues.
  19. long time user, first time poster! key information: i own the XR1000 My buddy has the XR500 bare with me here, i always play with optimal tuned QOS and Geo-Filter to the most stable configuration i can possibly get for COD MW. i usually average 60-85 ping in warzone which is reasonable and by all means playable, however when i connect with a buddy not far from me in Southern California about almost 900 miles distance my ping is horrendous at 120-150 constant and games don't go well. now i know Lag Comp in game is mainly responsible i 1000% understand (i work for Geeksquad) *so i know my way around networking* . my main question is, is there any kind of way to lower our connection between us 2 in the DUMAOS? anyway to improve our overall connection, secondly is there a way to actually black list an entire area of the GEO map to disregard bad rerouting that eventually connects me to my friend? **Side Note, HIs connection is usually 20-40 in game** i know it seems like a strange way to find a solution but im at my wits end there has to be something with all this POWER! haha thanks for any help!
  20. Hello I've had my Netduma R2 now for a few months since I wanted a gaming router and a better speed. I sometimes have my internet go out randomly on my phone and computer. Doesnt matter what im doing its always cuts out and I got to unplug it. I tried some other methods that were posted such as changing static IP to 168. I also installed a file that was posted but it seems to do nothing. I also have a problem when im playing a game. Such as for example in CSGO when im playing on any server I get random ping spikes such as this one below. And it stays this way for 30 sec then goes back to normal it can go as high as 500 from what ive seen then goes back to a normal 15-40 ping. I have yet to find what is causing this and how to fix it please help!
  21. Hi all, I seem to have issues with the geofilter on my XR500. I live in Germany. When I bought the XR500 I set my radius on around 450 KM around me to connect to the 2 closest Modern Warfare servers (taken from the dumaOS Modern Warfare Servers). At the beginning, it worked perfectly. It took a little bit longer to find a game, but when I did the connection was amazing! Now, since some days, I find games extremely quick and play against people from spain for example, who clearly had a connection advantage (so I guess the server was closer to them, outside of my radius) So I did a test: I shrunk the circle to the minimum (100KM), in this radius there are only villages around my city, and non of the servers are in the radius. According to the radius, I shouldn't find any games. But then I searched for a game and found one immediately, playing against spanish and french people (I live in east germany). Does anyone know why it suddenly stopped to filter? Hope someone can help me! Thanks in advance!
  23. I can't seem to access DumaOS at the moment as it keeps saying Authenticate App, doesn't load and tells me the site cant be reached
  24. Hi, I purchased a Nighthawk XR700 a few days ago. I went through the setup process and accessed the DumaOS UI on a few occasions to fine tune the settings. I made sure to update the firmware straight away. After about 4 days of use I can now no longer access DumaOS at all, I have cleared all history on several occasions, tried various browsers, tried different computers, tried command prompt (which also won't show ipconfig), tried factory resetting the router and trawled the internet for a couple of hours for a solution and nothing works. Can somebody please help! Many thanks
  25. Decided to pick up an XR1000 because of the wifi six and overall beefier hardware, plus it comes with 3.0 loaded already on it. Anyone with one care to chime in on their experience so far with it? Currently running an R2 while I like it, the hardware isn't the best.
