@DaK As far as I can tell you haven't sought any support regarding your issues so that means we haven't had the opportunity to help you with them. I've given you a firmware which should resolve the issues from our side. The other issues are for Netgear and should be helped with the next firmware. Coming right out with threats is unnecessary. Not only will the next firmware come with fixes but it will include lots of new features, so the product you bought will be evolving without any further cost to yourself.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Admin's topic in News & Announcements
It's unlikely to have gone through, if you PM me the email address you used to attempt purchase I can confirm this and you can try again. If it occurs again could you provide a screenshot via PM of what you're seeing please when it isn't working? -
ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Admin's topic in News & Announcements
You're unlikely to receive exactly your speeds but a recent test in the real world on the Release Candidate firmware that will be flashed onto the shipped routers on the 6th received 924 download with QoS off so that's a good sign. -
ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
Will try to get you both bumped up the list. Yes, that's not to say there won't be bugs because I'm sure there will be - no software is bug free but every update it gets more stable. Do you want it for both R1 and XR500? What is your Netgear username so I can try to bump you up that list. -
XR500 VS Netduma R2

No there isn't unfortunately. We are only selling the R2 on our website at the moment. -
XR500 VS Netduma R2
Netduma Fraser replied to Alongcory's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It does support it but you'll likely receive 800-900mbps max download as that's what we have gotten in a lab environment. A home environment may differ. -

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Admin's topic in News & Announcements
That's right I did, good catch. Initially I was told it was 300-400 but then we went back and tested it and the latest figures I mentioned are more accurate of what you can expected. That's absolutely right yes. Do keep in mind this is in a lab environment so it may differ in a residential household environment. -
ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Admin's topic in News & Announcements
Thanks, we'll try and get you boosted up the list asap. No, there is no option to change the QoS algorithm. It's the same as the Anti-Bufferbloat that has been available on the R1 .29 beta and the XR routers. -
ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
What is your NG community name? We'll try and push you up the list for both. That is completely up to you, it's certainly possible with our boosts that you will get it before the R2 launches. I suppose it depends on whether you want to use 3.0 when it's optimized on the R2 or on the other routers. -

ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
It is anything but simple. The beta is out and people are using it, you're just waiting for an invite at this point but that's down to Netgear. If you give us your Netgear community name we'll try and bump you up the list. -
ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Admin's topic in News & Announcements
It's actually all via the software/firmware, no hardware acceleration - we've done A LOT of optimization. No alternative QoS algorithms are available. What is your Netgear community name? I'll try and get you boosted up the list. -
XR500 VS Netduma R2
Netduma Fraser replied to Alongcory's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Thanks for the kind words! It is really up to you - the XR500 is the more powerful hardware so if that is what concerns you then would suggest sticking with that. The R2 however is optimized for DumaOS and will also be getting updates quicker due to less steps in publishing firmware. The R2 can support around 800-900mbps QoS on/off as well so should be able to support most speed as well. -
That has been suggested before so it is likely you'll see something like this in the future.

ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE

It might change prior to release but as I'm currently aware It will have most preinstalled and then if you wish you can then uninstall/(re)install what you like. -
ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Admin's topic in News & Announcements
Sorry, I should have been clearer. IPv6: It does work with QoS etc and we're continuing to ensure they work harmoniously. USB: Not currently no but may utilize this more in the future. I will double check with the team regarding the vulnerability status and get back to you. -
ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Admin's topic in News & Announcements
Some results for you: QoS On: Download 860Mbits/sec Upload 821Mbits/sec QoS Off: Download 890Mbits/sec Upload 833Mbits/sec It does work with QoS etc and we're continuing to ensure they work harmoniously. Not currently no but may utilize this more in the future. The XR routers do have more powerful hardware, so if that is what you're after then would recommend those but if you want a router that is optimized for DumaOS and will receive updates quicker then the R2 would be a good choice. -

That is coming, we're working hard to get it tested and out as fast as possible. Good question, I've asked a developer so will get back to you when I have an answer. The RAM is DDR3. -
Hey, welcome to the forum! Firstly I'd recommend upgrading to this firmware and then doing a factory reset as that should help with some of your issues: https://kb.netgear.com/000061714/XR700-Firmware-Version-1-0-1-24-Hot-Fix I highly doubt it will be available for the XR700 within a week, it is also unlikely to fix all the issues you're facing - wasn't even aware of the WiFi issue you're having for example. Some of those will be for Netgear so it also depends when they will be implementing fixes.
