  2. Hey, welcome to the forum! We have Battlefield on our list of games to add to Ping Heatmap, I don't believe you can use the Geo-Filter though to filter the game, have you tried this?
  3. You don't need to change the ISP router, if you get you're own modem it will basically do the same thing. Put your existing ISP router in modem or bridge mode and let the R2 handle everything.

That's a good question and point, if you're not gaming and not many other devices are being used at the time then you can probably do without it - devices do have background updates every so often which could cause lag but assuming that isn't the case you could leave it off. When gaming though, even these background updates or devices just periodically sending/receiving data could cause a spike. I'd suggest for your situation to use Auto-Enable for Congestion Control. That will ensure your speeds/connection will only be limited when gaming and if you're not then you'll receive full speeds.

It is mostly a dedicated server game from what I've seen so whenever you see peer it is almost certainly a server - for example the second to last one, the domain has choopa in the name which is a known server. They're misclassified on the map but we can resolve them, realistically this won't impact your game negatively, it is more aesthetic. You can use Ping Heatmap to get a good idea of where the game servers are located and then you can adjust the Geo-Filter accordingly as needed.
  8. You want to get the download/upload ping value of Ping Under Load closest to the average ping value of the Ping test as close as possible. On Congestion Control, select Always, start with a percentage, then do a benchmark test, then change percentage again and do benchmark again. Rinse repeat until you've found a percentage that lowers Ping Under Load the most. You don't need to adjust Bandwidth Allocation, I usually recommend leaving it as its default. A lot of people experiment with settings so that's likely something that works for them. I don't believe they would receive lag compensation as the device would still be getting more bandwidth than it actually needs. It's likely the Geo-Filter blocking the server it is testing, that value is quite misleading as it's just the ping to the Xbox Live server to basically verify you're online and have a paid subscription. It has no bearing on what your game ping will be at all so you can ignore that.
  9. Ping Under Load shows what your Ping (from Ping test) would be should you experience local congestion. Therefore if you can get Ping Under Load to mirror the Ping test as closely as possible then this means even when local congestion is occurring QoS eliminates it and your ping is largely unchanged. I would redo QoS to adjust for Ping Under Load as the bandwidth will be much less so what it takes to overwhelm the network is less as well. Gaming doesn't require much bandwidth so you could do it for that device but wouldn't recommend it for any other.

  12. Okay interesting, well the best way to determine whether it is something on the router is to disable QoS entirely from the 3 line option menu on Congestion Control. If it is still an issue then could indicate an issue elsewhere.
  13. One of those peer icons is likely the server. Sometimes a server can be misclassified as a peer but it doesn't affect the connection, it is just visual and we can correct that. Whatever the biggest icon is will be the host. Ping Assist 0 will just keep all games within your radius instead of having ones potentially connect from outside the radius and yes it is possible using PA that you could get a higher ping than desired. Is that on WiFi or ethernet that you've experienced that? How are you testing it? That's without adjusting any QoS settings?
  14. The server you're referring to is required for authentication so won't be the game server, there will have been something else - the biggest icon - that would have been the host. Icons with dashed circles around them are connections that have been allowed by Ping Assist. For me personally in the UK I have Ping Assist on 0 and have the radius/polygon just covering the UK. For QoS I would recommend you do a Connection Benchmark test and then use Congestion Control on Always and experiment with the percentages to see what brings down the Ping Under Load results the most - the ideal is having it as close to the Ping test results as possible. We can certainly add the game, it's likely the servers used are similar so assume that and set the Geo accordingly. If I remember rightly you may not need to use Geo for Halo.
  15. NG are actively looking into this as we speak, I kept bringing it up so they released a debug firmware for the XR500 (which has the same issue) with information on how to collect relevant information so hopefully people will send that over so they can fix it.

  20. Exactly and then enter that into the R2 Settings to establish the connection. I will be available on Christmas Day and Boxing day, albeit more limited hours so I will be able to help if you need anything. It should be plug and play really, do the DMZ as I mentioned for BT on the Vodafone hub as well to ensure an open NAT.

  22. PPPoE are basically 'login' details that you would need to enter into the router to essentially allow the router to 'login' to allow an internet connection. The router handles all this so you just need to enter it into the router once. You may not require PPPoE but BT has used it in the past so worth a mentioned. For Open NAT you'd take the WAN IP from the R2 System Information page and enter that into the DMZ function on the BT hub.
  23. Great to hear you received it so quickly! Yes in order to see what servers you are connected to you will have to be on the interface - you could do this through the Mac, console browser (not recommended) or our mobile app (search DumaOS on your mobile phone app store). It really depends if you require PPPoE for BT, in which case you would have to enter that into the R2 to get a connection. Other than that you'd have to adjust the BT hub to get an open NAT through the R2 but this is quite simple.
