There isn't a hard cap no but you can reserve bandwidth for devices/services/ports so they always have at least that if needed
-
Gaming barely uses any bandwidth so that is correct, allocating more bandwidth to gaming won't make it use any more. Unless you have disabled Share Excess then yes a device/application can receive more than its allocation.

Great to hear that, I'll close the topic, feel free to open another if needed and we'll be happy to help.

Those last two points should be resolved now we've added upload QoS properly, is that not the case if you adjust for upload? Thanks for the list I will pass it onto the team to have a proper look at. I don't have an ETA unfortunately, they would need to look into the issues, reproduce them, fix, test etc

It may be an authentication server though required for online play, do you get another server within your radius when you see that server?
-
Where exactly are you testing this? Have you changed Congestion Control/SmartBOOST or Geo-Filter manually?
-

That is probably why, upgrade to the latest here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/53938-new-r3-firmware-4041/

The console tests are an estimate so it's plausible they can also estimate too high! The log will be really helpful thanks! -

Geo-Filter 2.0 is a DumaOS 4 exclusive feature so no won't be coming to it. What do you mean by gameboost? -

Sorry, I missed this, I'll pass the log onto the team and they can check if there is anything useful there, as you got it at the time it happened it may be enough then I can let you know if they need more with remote logging -
Ping Optimiser does not calculate correctly
Netduma Fraser replied to ChrisG82's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Gotcha, I can reproduce that so I will pass it onto the team, thanks for the report! -
It could indicate the Congestion Control percentages aren't right for your connection, experiment with them to see what values give you the best experience

Ping Optimiser does not calculate correctly

Could you clarify the exact steps you're doing please as I'm not following -
Error uploading firmware & other issues: Netduma R2
Netduma Fraser replied to Toe_SNE's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Okay just to clarify, so your setup was fritzbox > Asus router > R2? If so that's likely why we couldn't connect, you'd need to put the Asus router in the DMZ on your fritzbox, that way the traffic can flow freely all the way to the R2. You should be able to have internet without the asus though, connect R2 to fritz, reboot fritz, wait 2 minutes, reboot R2, wait 2 minutes and see if you get a connection then -

Ping Optimiser does not calculate correctly
Netduma Fraser replied to ChrisG82's topic in Netduma R3 Support
So in this instance you didn't touch Ping Optimizer at all? -
Error uploading firmware & other issues: Netduma R2
Netduma Fraser replied to Toe_SNE's topic in Netduma R2 Support
That was done directly from your modem, not the R2 correct? If so then we won't be able to access unfortunately. Do you have the ability to take it to a friend or family members house on Monday so we can try to connect? When did you order btw? -
Ping Optimiser does not calculate correctly
Netduma Fraser replied to ChrisG82's topic in Netduma R3 Support
You setting 99% on Congestion Control does not mean Ping Optimizer will limit to that percentage, it's calculating the best values for you automatically so it doesn't consider what you have set manually -
No it doesn't mean that. What router are you using? What is the model of the modem/router the DumaOS router is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to DumaOS? E.g. DumaOS router in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

What firmware version are you on currently?
