new internet bufferbloat question for cod
Netduma Fraser replied to kevo's topic in Call of Duty Support
It does do a speed test when testing the ping under load so it should saturate or come very close yes -
Constantly Unable to Access Dumoos/
Netduma Fraser replied to exodus1337's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Haha no worries, at least it's a quick resolution! -
It will become available in the next firmware version we release. I believe it says that on the app as we didn't expect the app to be approved so quickly (took a day rather than the weeks it normally does)

new internet bufferbloat question for cod
Netduma Fraser replied to kevo's topic in Call of Duty Support
Really the only thing to do is to experiment with the Congestion Control percentages, that is the only thing that will lower the ping under load -
Make sure you updated to the latest app version, if you have then uninstall it and then reinstall it and try again please

Constantly Unable to Access Dumoos/
Netduma Fraser replied to exodus1337's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I mean at least in this example it's because you've put dumoos rather than dumaos, does that then work? -

We are aware Ping Optimizer/Speed Test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and it's something the team are working on. Those features can still work, it just may not be every time. In the meantime best to adjust Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced. There was an app update a few days again but shouldn't affect this. If you do it in the web browser does it work then?

You're using Ping Assist and Geo-Latency which can happen with both of those enabled. Disable Geo-Latency and see if it adheres more to Ping Assist.

You don't need an email/password, its the same credentials you use to access the interface in your browser

R3 - losing Internet connection at random
Netduma Fraser replied to N3stor's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Right-click on the Network/WiFi Windows Network Icon on the PC on the bottom-right hand side of your screen Open Network and Sharing Center. Click Change Adapter Settings. Right-click your connection and go to Properties. Uncheck the box next to Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) to disable it. Then set a static IP on the PC with the following details IP address: 192.168.77.100 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.77.1 DNS: 192.168.77.1 If you're not sure how to do this, you can check this guide: https://kb.netgear.com/27476/How-do-I-set-a-static-IP-address-in-Windows then try accessing 192.168.77.1 please and see if it works. -

What was your solution in the end? -
On the DumaOS app I mean, not the Nighthawk app

Honestly there isn't a 'best' cable, as long as it supports the speeds you have it will be fine
-
Okay so both locations are covering the same area. You are essentially creating a tunnel between your PC and the game server so the router can't really see the data properly. You definitely don't need the VPN in this scenario though.

The higher the better really but you wouldn't get near the rated usage they can achieve so it doesn't matter really

Does the ISP router have other options for IPv6 that result in proper IPv6 through the R3?

R3 - losing Internet connection at random
Netduma Fraser replied to N3stor's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Do you turn off the router everyday when you go to work? While connected to the router via a Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please. -
There further away from a router generally the less speed/strength/range you will have - if the R3 is basically next to the G Router then it's better hardware, if it's a little further away it could be better hardware or more placement. It's hard to advise without knowing the physical layout of the home

That is brilliant to hear, thank you for getting back to us with an update on how you are doing!

Could you try disabling IPv6 in WAN/LAN as well please and see if that makes any difference
