No not really, it just determines who you are able to connect to but as you'll be connecting to servers it shouldn't cause much of an issue
-
I think you do infact have a double NAT. The only solutions are to get a static public IP from your ISP (they will probably charge you) or switch to an ISP that doesn't use CG-NAT

Prioritize efootball 2024 in netduma r2
Netduma Fraser replied to ahdilsoufiane001's topic in Community Discussion
When playing on a console you can just prioritize gaming or the games console itself, that's why it's probably not working choosing the game specifically. See if that works. You also don't need to do the boost - that's just a temporary prioritization so you're doing it twice essentially by doing that which won't work any better -
Just to clarify, it's just lag in the party chat so the voice is distorted, delayed etc? Who is hosting the party chat?

Prioritize efootball 2024 in netduma r2
Netduma Fraser replied to ahdilsoufiane001's topic in Community Discussion
How did you do the prioritization exactly? -
Modem connected to XR500 PC connected via ethernet to XR500 Type my ip into Google and copy the result Open command prompt on the PC Type tracert and paste the IP you copied and press enter Count the number of lines in the results - ignore the first line that will be the XR500 IP
-
Do you require PPPoE/VLAN then? You can do it when connected behind the XR and just ignore the XR IP in the results
-
The standout things are different design, no basic setup and it applies to all devices by default
-
Excellent, do let us know if it happens again!

Geo-Filter Not working on XR100
Netduma Fraser replied to xxsamfisherxxsam's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works. -
Thanks for the request, I'll pass it onto the team!

You would need to get the configuration files from them and input it into HVPN - there are no basic options where you can just select a provider and connect

Very high upload jitter
Netduma Fraser replied to Tom123's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
For testing Always should be selected on Congestion Control, you can ignore the speed test bypass that's for the R3. Start with a high value such as 95% then go down in 10% increments until you get to a good result then try 5% either side of that to see if it can be fine tuned anymore -
Did you redo the CG-NAT test?

Device showing up as unknown and can't block traffic...
Netduma Fraser replied to Asentrix's topic in Netduma R3 Support
It'll be showing up as unknown because iOS has the Private/Random MAC address option enabled. A MAC address is a unique identifier for a device - by randomizing/privatizing it the router cannot tell what the device is. If you disable this and disconnect/re-connect to the WiFi the router will then be able to tell what the device is. As above if you disable Geo-Latency that won't happen again - it's also not a game we have specifically tested. -
Ah it might be that annoying LAN cable not connected issue which doesn't seem to be router specific, for troubleshooting purposes if you have the PS5 connected via WiFi do you get the same issues?
-
Unfortunately the logs are wiped on a reboot so there won't be anything helpful in there. Same question to you as the above
-
It increases your latency so I wouldn't recommend it but people do use it for gaming
-
This should get you sorted: Disable GeoLatency Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) Enable Strict Mode Disable Fast Search Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then. Otherwise: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better.

Geo-Filter Not working on XR100
Netduma Fraser replied to xxsamfisherxxsam's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Is this screenshot from when you're in a game? If you zoom out fully do you see any other icons on the map? -
You need to have your device connected directly to the modem so the XR500 isn't connected and then tracert your public IP address - not the local IP of your modem
