Ping Heatmap suggestion/issue thread
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
We need to do another, it went out of date again after we pushed an update today. We're working on a more permanent solution, in the mean time we'll push another update tomorrow. -
I would disable Armor on the XR1000 - you can do this from the Nighthawk mobile app, that may allow that specific platform to work better. Hold the reset button for 30 seconds, release, wait 5 minutes then access the interface and see if it loads - exit the interface if you have it open while resetting please
-
Are you using PPPoE, VLAN, IPv6 or anything like that? Do you have Armor enabled?

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
They are probably mislocated, thanks for the report! -
That indicates that you'll probably need to adjust your QoS settings to get rid of the packet loss - what settings are you using currently? Are ALL devices connected to the router?
-
Once it's released we'll test it and put up the servers on Ping Heatmap

It is a known issue that the port forwarding entries seem to disappear so if you go to add a new rule where the port is the same as one of those entries you'll get that message. This is something NG is fixing for the next version I believe. If you set all the rules you need after a factory reset and don't change them then they should be okay but are you saying when using OpenVPN it causes the entries to disappear?

Geo-filter - "Uncaught Unmatched Device"
Netduma Fraser replied to Jayco93's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
No not currently, a full release shouldn't take too much longer -
We need to do a new Heatmap update so that may be why, reboot the router in a few hours, wait 2 minutes and then see if it loads please
-
Make sure you force a connection to the interface using HTTP as HTTPS can also cause the error so try one of these links specifically: http://10.0.0.1 http://routerlogin.net

Geo-filter - "Uncaught Unmatched Device"
Netduma Fraser replied to Jayco93's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@Bat 'n' Ball yes that's the easiest way to reproduce the issue, if you re-connect the device to the console in the same way (WiFi or ethernet) and then give it the exact same name and device type then it should get rid of the error without a factory reset. -
If you use 10.0.0.1 then to access the XR do you get access without issue? Script error is usually due to a browser based Adblocker being enabled
-
How quickly after the upgrade did you factory reset exactly?
-
What web browser are you using? Could you try accessing 192.168.1.1 instead please and see if it works?
-
Was this after an upgrade that you reset and got that error? Can you provide a screenshot?
-
Give it a reboot, wait 2 minutes then try again please, are you able to ping without error?
-
No I don't believe so, we're working with NG to allow for a more full backup
-
That all seems fine, it could be that because it's quite a new game there are a lot of people playing it currently and that's putting strain on the servers as the ping on your side to the server hasn't changed at all. In that case I would suggest setting everything up as you want it and then make a back up in settings so you can speed up setup should it happen again

Resync the cloud and then ping, it should be working now -
Destiny 2 and Geo-Filter
Netduma Fraser replied to corden's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Have a look at the map when you get kicked, there should be something blocked, add that to the allow list and it should let you in -
You can factory reset them but it would keep them on the same firmware, you would have to manually downgrade with the oldest firmware file of the two. I don't think it would be necessary to go all the way back. Sign up for early access here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ and then you can try the R2 firmware there, followed by a factory reset to see if it is more stable for you.
-
Okay so it's possibly just a browser issue, go ahead and update, factory reset after then accessing using an incognito window again and see if it is working
-
When you're rebooting are you doing so by pulling the power by any chance? If so reboot via the interface, this acts as a hard save so if you do unplug it should save your settings
-
I'm surprised you're getting such a low ping to a server in Canada, could you provide the ID for one of those servers please?
