  1. Did you do it from the menu ( ) as it should say QoS disabled on each panel and be greyed out
  2. It's probably not required then at that stage because your connection isn't being saturated, although if you didn't disable it completely Traffic Prio will still be active and helping
  3. No it's absolutely fine as the XR has its own built in firewall, if you were to then put a device in the XR DMZ then that could be a risk
  4. Ahh brilliant to hear that, well done on finding the solution and thanks for letting us know!
  5. Is the BGW in modem or router mode? Could you try in modem mode if you haven't already and see if that changes the link speed?
  6. Gotcha, has the upload increased since your last test? I have VM so I would recommend trying with the hub in router mode and the XR WAN IP in its DMZ instead and see if you get better speeds with QoS enabled. You would lose out yes so hopefully we can get your speeds up without sacrificing that.
  7. Welcome to the forum! It looks like the ethernet cable connecting the R2 to the modem has become faulty, change the cable out for another (Cat5e or above) and speeds should be restored
  8. Hey, welcome to the forum! It's hard to see the details but it looks like one of your ethernet cables is limited to 10Mbits so you won't get anything higher than that through that cable, if you change the cable that will increase speeds for that device at the very least. Are a lot of your devices being used heavily at the time of testing the speeds?
  9. Same question as above, also what are your bandwidth speeds and how many devices are being used at one time?
  10. Resync the cloud, then re-ping the game does it appear then?
  11. Disable it fully from the Congestion Control menu then re-do the test please
  12. Having a higher ping is normal for a VPN as well which is why it's generally best to choose a server as close as possible, again I know NoLag is different in that they're supposed to just affect the location reading
  13. Thanks for that, could you also disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN please and re-test?
  14. Have you turned off QoS completely via the Congestion Control menu ? If not Traffic Prioritization will still be active and helping keep the ping stable. Depending on your internet speeds and what other devices are doing at the time CC may not be required to eliminate local congestion if there is none

  16. It should be hooked up in order to work correctly. It doesn't require internet to access as it is a local device, you should get access using 192.168.77.1 in the web browser but if not while connected to the router via a Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.
  17. It's a feature built by Netgear so it may be better to make a ticket directly with them for the best answers on this particular subject https://my.netgear.com/support/contact.aspx try an asterisk instead before the word so *badword and see if it works.
  18. If they're getting 20MB/s download rates that indicates the speeds you're getting through WiFi would be about 160Mbps, is a WiFi speed test showing 160Mbps or 20Mbps? (Internet Providers sell you services with the Megabit unit, 500Mbps for example but downloading files etc uses the Megabytes unit, 8 Megabits = 1 Megabyte so generally when downloading anything online the number you see for the speed it's going at should be roughly 1/8th of the value of speed you pay your provider for. Hence my question to get an accurate picture of the situation.) Sorry to hear about your traumatic experience, I hope everything is better now and you're on the way to rebuilding that which was lost. Try these suggestions and see if it improves it at all: Disable Mirror Mode, give 2.4/5GHz different names and apply - you'll want to connect to 5GHz specifically for speeds Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proxity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _
  19. Unfortunately the way VPNs work in general it will prevent you getting an Open NAT as you're essentially adding another 'layer' to the network, I do know that NoLag is a bit different so maybe others who use it can chime in on whether they are able to get an Open NAT while using it. Generally however, having a moderate NAT won't negatively impact you and you'll still be able to find games.
  20. We can continue to troubleshoot the R2, especially if you're being prevented access. Thanks for the screenshot, it appears there are very few servers for the game, in the US, just one on the East and one on the West coast so you would need to force one of those to get a game.
  21. For name changing you should do that on the Device Manager, in LAN Settings the Netgear side of things will see the names as their defaults but that is being worked on syncing with the DumaOS side as you see your device names all over the main DumaOS pages compared to settings. If reserved IPs you have set are different to the ones the devices have currently then either rebooting the devices or the router will force them to grab their new reserved IP. You can see firmware progress here, where we update it weekly with any changes: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000132677-dumaos-firmware-progress Generally the interface can be sped up by clearing your browser cache/cookies then once each page of the router has been loaded once it should be faster.
  22. We haven't changed anything on our end, try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works. Also, if you're not aware, the way that Fortnite matchmaking works is that it will only try to connect to a server when it's loading into the pre-game run around lobby so the fastest way to filter would actually be to disable Filtering Mode but use it to see where the game puts you - if it is too far away or the ping is too high then quit and re-search - this will be faster than waiting for it to kick you.
  23. It's a mislocated server, it won't affect anything it's just a visual inconsistency, thank you for the ID, I'll pass it onto the team and they can get it moved to the correct location.
  24. Here you are:
  25. Could you provide a screenshot of your QoS & Geo-Filter pages please? What is your average ping to the game as shown by the Geo-Filter and in game?
