Set a static IP on the PC itself that is connected via ethernet to the router using this information and this guide (control panel) https://pureinfotech.com/set-static-ip-address-windows-10/ IP 192.168.77.100 Subnet 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.77.1 DNS 192.168.77.1 then see if you can access using http://192.168.77.1

Great thank you, don't forget to try the reset as I mentioned as well as that could resolve it.
-
Yes they're all newer options on the latest version, perhaps old cache kept you from seeing them
-
Okay good so all working now? Do you mean new options compared to the old version?

Ethernet cable from the LAN or internet port on the R2 to the PC? Should just be able to access it when connected via ethernet or WiFi.
-
You don't need to be, but you're installing a tunnel essentially which can bypass the router so the router can't tell you're on the local network. You can do it without internet through the IP address

ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
It shall be revealed soon but a lot of stability improvements! -
Could you make a new topic for your issue please and we can help there. While you do that, see if you can grab the log file from the System Information page when the disconnect occurs as that may help narrow it down.

Great news! Are you using Mirror mode or is it disabled and you're connecting to 5GHz manually? -

That's quite possibly due to Safari, if you use another browser does it work? -

Fair enough, please email [email protected] with a link to this topic and your order number and we can arrange that for you.

You can do if you wish, shouldn't be too much longer for the firmware though, we're trying to push it out pretty soon

Share Your Netduma Settings For MW/CW/WZ
Netduma Fraser replied to Infoseye's topic in Call of Duty Support
The settings won't change no but things that could affect it may change, e.g. how many devices being used at the time, how much traffic they're using etc. That's why it's best to find out what QoS settings work best when your network is completely saturated. Even in game the server load may increase, you won't get put on the same server even if it's in the same location (they have many clustered in one spot) -

We're working on a more automatic version of QoS, as far as I am aware our plan in that regard is to run speedtests every X amount of time so that would update it for you. -
@Bcobz thanks for the great feedback, that's really awesome to hear! Also to address your point on the Rapps not loading, that is something we have been actively working on for months, it's been a super tricky issue to solve, hence why there hasn't been a new version in a little while. We're confident though that it will be fixed for the next version.

ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
Every router has a version of 3.0 other than the XR300 so it's not like we haven't released it at all, yes some are in beta and we're working to bring those out as soon as we can -

Netduma Fraser replied to EOD's topic in Netduma R2 Support
There weren't any DumaOS changes from Netduma, it was primarily an update from Netgear. Every firmware is tested by them, they have a strict QA policy. Naturally each team is best with their own software so they missed something we may not have but then again compared to owners of the router running the beta not many have reported the issue. -

We didn't have any input on this version so we didn't test it ourselves, otherwise we most likely would have caught this. We are working on new firmware currently. -

Do it for 10.0.0.x as that is what it is set to -

Use that IP instead, the reason it changed to that IP will have been to prevent a conflict with the ISP router which must use 192.168.1.1 -

You can find detailed instructions on how to upgrade using TFTP here: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP?article=000059634 -

We didn't add any changes into that version ourselves so it could be a bug - when rebooting wait 2 minutes before you access the interface and that gives it time to properly load -

Thanks for the heads up @AsNCo as you say it's a bit of a tricky one given it blocks ads on sites, we'll keep an eye out to see if anyone else has this issue
