Reoccurring Unknown Device
Netduma Fraser replied to Zaroo's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Does it get an IP address at all or is it just the MAC address that appears? Check the MAC address, does it match the MAC address of the actual router? -

Do you have any devices that just communicate with one server? For example, someone else who had something similar to this has a dialysis machine - it only connects to the hospital for monitoring. -

It's a link local IPv6 address, it's perfectly normal, you can ignore that, it won't be negatively impacting you at all. Could you provide the MAC address of the unnamed device? It's unlikely to be anything sinister. Can you provide a screenshot of one of the devices with multiple IPs? It's not going to cause you any issues though. -

Are you using a Netgear extender/switch/AP or anything else connected to the XR? Set a reserved IP for the PC in LAN Settings and then reboot the router, it will then only have that IP from then on -

MW2 Shoot First Die first? how to fix this?
Netduma Fraser replied to ownal0t's topic in Call of Duty Support
If you care about circumventing SBMM I couldn't say but as far as prioritizing the game, that won't do it. Classified Games is a good one to go for and the DPI update will help that. -

It should be on your router then so give it a go and see if you notice any difference, make sure to reboot the router and console though to be sure -
MW2 Shoot First Die first? how to fix this?
Netduma Fraser replied to ownal0t's topic in Call of Duty Support
Is this before or after the DPI update/resyncing? Port 443 isn't the game port so that wouldn't work, the other two should work fine or you can input the correct ports for the game. -

It's correct but if you want to definitely make sure then that will make sure, doing a new update followed by a reset will prompt an automatic download of the cloud. No it doesn't it should just make them work a lot better. -

It's purely on the backend so nothing on your side will look different, sign up to early access: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ once approved install the firmware, reset etc, then resync on the Geo, Heatmap and Device Manager and you'll definitely have it -
MW2 Shoot First Die first? how to fix this?
Netduma Fraser replied to ownal0t's topic in Call of Duty Support
Deep Packet Inspection, basically it analyzes the packets and can determine right now MW2 is being played, based on the settings done on the router I will prioritize all these packets and nothing else. So instead of using ports to prioritize for example which can be problematic if there is other applications/services using the same packets on the device e.g. you're playing a game on PC and downloading a torrent it only prioritizes the game/service and nothing else. We've always used DPI but it's a lot better now. -
What DumaOS router are you using?
-
Hey, welcome to the forum! What router are you using with the app exactly?
-
Traffic Prioritization will prioritize the console automatically, no need to input ports manually, it is a different feature to port forwarding so you wouldn't disable UPnP if you were to put in ports manually on Traffic Prioritization.
-
Hey, welcome to the forum! Prioritizing ports and port forwarding are different so you don't need to disable UPnP at all. Just to clarify, is the console Xbox Series S? If so you don't need to enter ports, it will be prioritized automatically.

What router are you using with the app exactly - the XR300?
-
Switch to a different game, are those able to be pinged?
-

Hey, welcome to the forum! We would certainly look into it, it would depend on the cost really and the end cost to consumers- 61 replies

That can happen on occasion as some servers seem unable to be pinged, if you disable Auto Ping and ping manually does the ping appear?
-
Are icons appearing on the Geo-Filter Map? Have you disabled Auto Ping?
-
Could you try on a different device please and see if you still get it?
-
That's definitely caused by HTTPS, Adblock or potentially an Anti-Virus if you have one installed on your PC, whitelisting the router interface address should resolve it
