Do you have a pure modem or modem/router? Is the XR in the DMZ of the modem and have you setup the DMZ on the XR?
-
We did push an update today, give the router a reboot, wait 2 minutes then resync the cloud again and see if it populates
-
There is a chance then that it could work with the Geo-Filter without us needing to do anything, have you tried to filter? What happens when doing so?
-
It is a cloud update so you won't see anything when it is done and don't need to upgrade. Once we have pushed it on Monday you can resync the cloud and then it should work
-
You can see how to do so at the bottom of this guide: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000077072-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-geo-filter If you're only connecting to the Discord server when playing with friends and can't connect without them then no unfortunately but it's very quick to do the next time you plan to chat with them. It's not really that simple, Discord uses a big range of ports for voice chat and those same ports are used for games as well so without allowing them specifically they would be blocked as well. For most web traffic, streaming, downloads etc the Geo-Filter wouldn't affect it at all as they use very few ports and are therefore easy to exclude.
-
It's not due to Ping Assist specifically, just that you're blocking the Discord servers, we did add a lot a little while ago to the whitelist to prevent this happening but it seems like they have added more. All you need to do is add them to your allow list just like you would do for a friend and that would resolve it. When doing this, if you could provide us with the ID of the Discord servers then we can add them to the whitelist.

QoS and Traffic Prioritisation

You can use the Games Console service instead and it will prioritize the game for you -
QoS and Traffic Prioritisation
Netduma Fraser replied to fletcherjames1's topic in Call of Duty Support
Click to add a rule, select the device then the services are listed on the next part of the box and you can find CoD there. There is no tick box for this, you do so by choosing what is the minimum % you would be happy with your connection being limited to, so if you chose for example not to go below 90% then you're choosing bandwidth, if you go very low you're saying you're happy to sacrifice bandwidth if it will get you a great ping. Your ping can spike so if it's constantly 20ms and then suddenly it goes up to 100ms for example, that is a spike, so enabling that option tries to prevent that happening. -
QoS and Traffic Prioritisation
Netduma Fraser replied to fletcherjames1's topic in Call of Duty Support
Call of Duty was for console but that's no longer needed and we would need to update the PC one to get that working again. Instead set your PC to a PlayStation in the Device Manager then re-add it to the Geo-Filter and it will automatically choose the Games Console service and allow you to filter. The groups are just a way to organize the services, it wouldn't actually prioritize everything in that category, just the service you picked. If that one doesn't work then you can add it using the Games Console service as well. -
-
Well the Geo-Filter isn't working for it currently, although some people say it works occasionally but doesn't appear to be consistent, however QoS is still a major feature that will keep your network as stable as possible, thereby keeping the ping low. If it's still high after that then you can be sure it's just on the game side.

Netduma R2 Packet loss and Ping spikes Wired and WiFi
Netduma Fraser replied to morph1kx's topic in Netduma R2 Support
That's very peculiar, given saturating your connection would mean there is literally no space for gaming traffic to be consistent, do you see the ping fluctuate on the Geo-Filter when it fluctuates in game? -
Netduma R2 Packet loss and Ping spikes Wired and WiFi
Netduma Fraser replied to morph1kx's topic in Netduma R2 Support
You don't have to try every percentage specifically but identify a value at a 10% interval that seems to stabilize it the most, then try 5% either side, if there is still room for improvement try 4% either side and so on until you land on the best value. With another router without QoS but the connection is saturated you don't get any lag whatsoever? -

Netduma Fraser replied to morph1kx's topic in Netduma R2 Support
There will be a percentage that works best for you, you also don't have to have download & upload at the same percentage, they can differ. To clarify, you've tried every 1% between 5 & 100%? -

What are the results like from PingPlotter? What percentages have you tried? -

Netduma Fraser replied to morph1kx's topic in Netduma R2 Support
I'd suggest using this guide and while saturating your connection with downloads/streams experiment with different percentages and see what brings it down the most http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping -

That looks all good there, let us know how you get on with those QoS settings, also where are you measuring/seeing the packet loss and spikes? -

Have you upgraded to .134 and done a reset to see if it resolves it? -
ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Admin's topic in News & Announcements
You can find updates on what is happening with each router firmware here: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000132677-dumaos-firmware-progress it is updated weekly. -
It can happen for different reasons, the latest firmware has reduced it significantly, lets continue troubleshooting in your topic
-
So resync, wait a 1 minute, then re-select the game or click ping again and it still doesn't show the servers?
-
Welcome R2 owners! We want your feedback!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to? Are ALL devices connected to the R2? What is the average ping you're seeing on the Geo-Filter/in game? You've set Traffic Prioritization correctly so you can leave that as it is.
