Ping Heatmap suggestion/issue thread
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
You don't need to add it but if you cover the server with your Geo-Filter radius then it should allow you to force the server -

Set the IP statically in the R2 WAN Settings as well please and also change the DHCP hours in DHCP settings to 168. Reboot the router from the interface once you've applied both. Settings for static will be: IP 10.0.0.106 Subnet 255.255.255.0 Gateway/router 10.0.0.1

Gotcha, thanks for the feedback! You can disable Ads by unticking the checkbox next to it in the lists panel. Is it paused on your PC but not the phone? What happens when you try to set automatic width? -
How did you set the static IP address exactly, did you use the WAN IP from the System Information page?
-
I can see you're using IPv6 now, if you disable this do you see the same issue?

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!

Yes please -
That's certainly an option but you could have the same issue on a previous version. What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to? Are you able to set a static/reserved address for the R2 on the modem? In theory this should help to resolve the issue.

As in it says QoS disabled on each of the panels? -

It's possible that they are mislocated, or as they're different games it could just be that's the lowest you can get to those particular servers. For example I live quite close to London but my ping to the UK server is about 20ms for MW. If you put the IPs in the form as mislocated we can double check and move them if needed. -

@Killerelite06 thank you for the feedback, to answer some of your points: Thanks for letting me know, I will raise a request to have PPPoE as an option for the setup wizard. Could you let me know the WiFi password you were trying to use or the format of the password e.g. letters, numbers, symbols etc. I think SA only has 2 servers so that could be why, I imagine that the whole of Africa for the most part are forced onto those servers so they may be under load. We'll be doing a Ping Heatmap update next week and then the servers should reappear there DSLReports doesn't play nice with Traffic Prioritization which is why the results can be off, if CB says you're good then that's great! You should be able to do that if you enter it as a domain. Interesting, what do you get if you select a custom channel? Glad to hear it! I believe on the NG routers UPnP works but doesn't always show them as entries -
Good thought but then if QoS was fully disabled on DumaOS that would make it work but it doesn't seem to so may not be as simple unfortunately

ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
How often is that happening while you're staying on the page? Which router? There are no settings around the interface login -
@Private Greenie have you put any devices in the DMZ or anything like that at all? Have you disabled any of the protection options in WAN Settings? I think the Geo-Filter entries/settings are fine, of course you'll need to enable Filtering Mode there.

Virgin Media Security Alert – Multicast DNS Vulnerability
Netduma Fraser replied to Exe_uz's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Have you done any manual port forwarding on the R2? As mentioned I have VM and the R2 plugged directly in to it and I've not had this before. You may not have even port forwarded but it may be UPnP has opened the port to the affected device. Do you see the port listed in UPnP? -
@kssxs Thanks for the info, I'll let the team know. @Nuyorrican Thank you, I'll get the team to try and reproduce this. Regarding the logs, I doubt they will be causing you any issues, the first is in reference to IPv6 by the looks of it which you don't have.
-
We are working on it and I've asked for a status update on this. As we no longer sell the R1 we wouldn't be able to take it back.

@Maiko Cella that's great to hear, thanks so much for your feedback! -
I haven't heard anything yet but I've chased the team and will get back to you as soon as I can
-
Thanks, I've asked the team for a status update on party chat. Were you able to repeat the 2nd test multiple times and get the same results?
-
Devices on standby/asleep can run background updates so I would still suggest adhering to that and setting up everything as though devices were being used and you'll get a good experience.
-
Was gaming occurring/was TP prioritizing during any of the tests?
-
Yes you can use UPnP that's absolutely fine I understand your frustration, we're doing what we can and hopefully won't be too much longer.
-
For the 2nd test was that set to Always then or Never? We're not ignoring the problem I can assure you
