Fifa 23 - Packet loss and Jitter
Netduma Fraser replied to Oren Tasuna's topic in Netduma R2 Support
DMZ passes all traffic straight through to the device so getting unnecessary traffic could cause issues, also port forwarding, if you don't get all the ports down then that will cause issues as well, UPnP opens only the necessary ports so makes sense it's the best in that regard. -

Did you manage to upgrade successfully to the latest firmware? Was that when the issues started after trying to upgrade?

Ping assist broken for MW2 XR700 on latest firmware
Netduma Fraser replied to Dina1229's topic in Call of Duty Support
Authentication servers have been allowed for many years, without them you wouldn't be able to play and we did this to prevent people blocking them by accident. Could you clarify please, it's getting you low ping games but you're saying it's not working? If you want higher ping servers all you need to do is change your location to somewhere else and force servers in that area. -
If you look at the top of the Geo-Filter page where you've add your device, below the device it says Console, this is the service that will be filtering. As you're on a console you don't need to do anything else, this Console service will allow you to filter multiple games. Once you've finished one game just hop on another and you can filter without any further action.

Is the router connected to a power extender or direct to a wall outlet? If an extender please try direct to a wall outlet and see if it stays up longer please
-
When that happens wait 1 minute then refresh the page and it will have done so. You'll need to resync on Ping Heatmap though, not on the Geo-Filter, though I believe it's outdated again now
-
No need to provide the log, it won't have any useful information in it, if it happens again let us know and we can enable remote logging
-
Yes, it's become outdated again, I think we'll be getting another update out tomorrow - hopefully it will last more than a few hours this time!

Ping on geo-filter v ping in game
Netduma Fraser replied to DUMA BOLTON's topic in Call of Duty Support
Both are accurate, simply put: Geo-Filter: Shows your ping direct to the server, anything on your side of the server essentially, including the server location, ISP routing, modem, router, QoS settings etc can affect this. In Game: Shows your ping direct to the server + processing delay - All games have processing delay but not all choose to include it in their ping calculation, CoD does. I would expect the in game ping to be 20-30ms higher than the Geo-Filter ping maximum. If the in game ping is 30+ ms higher than the Geo-Filter then it indicates the server is under heavy load (too many players online on the server bank), when this happens it's a good idea to try and force a different server. Even if the ping on (1) is higher, if (2) is lower overall than the previous server then you will have more stability and a better experience. -
Xr1000 geofence MWII
Netduma Fraser replied to patrick10's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Thanks, it does look like Cali, I'll pass it onto the team to get properly located. In the meantime if you really don't want to connect to it click Deny on the ping panel -
No way for different Geo-Filters but this is something we're actually looking into. The Games Console service for the Geo-Filter will allow you to filter multiple games, no need to change service.

It looks like it is working as expected, could you provide us the ID of the server from the first screenshot? We can check if it is incorrectly located -
With share excess off yes that is how it would work

CoD MW2 Latency Assistance: XR500

You can experiment with your Congestion Control percentages, it’s likely they can be fine tuned. Keep us posted! -
CoD MW2 Latency Assistance: XR500
Netduma Fraser replied to anile8v2's topic in Call of Duty Support
If the in game ping is much higher then it indicates the server may be under load, in which case forcing a different servers may give better results. Your Traffic Prioritization rule is very broad, I would suggest you add it with the Games Console rule instead as it may be negatively affecting you currently. -
As in are you seeing dedicated servers, servers with white circles, are they outside your radius - if you could provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter when the issue happens that would be really helpful. The auth servers will always be allowed so that’s normal behaviour.
-
@Kfetishdo let us know if it happens frequently, if it does we can enable remote logging to see what may be happening
-
We need to do another cloud update, unfortunately they’re updating the servers a lot so it becomes outdated quickly

Did Duma Os improved your game experience [Pool]
Netduma Fraser replied to Mostwest's topic in Community Discussion
It would be better to do the tests from your home network as they would be more applicable to you and your connection, also Congestion Control isn't on/off, it's percentages based so you may need to fine tune and try different percentages to see what works best. Disable Traffic Prioritization for the test as it can interfere with the results of those types of tests. -
It's unlikely to work but worth a try just to check whether it's a device based issue/WiFi issue

What is the model of the modem/router you have the XR500 connected to? Copy the WAN IP from the System Information page on the XR, access your modem interface, find the DMZ setting, paste the IP and apply.
