The PC actually has that as its IP address or says that's the gateway address? Without access to the interface, you'll either need to factory reset or reboot - if you're going to reboot unplug it for 10 minutes, then plug in, wait 2 minutes and attempt access
-
I'm checking with the dev now to see if they made a connection, what IP is your device getting that is connected to the R1?
-
We have and we're working on it for this next sprint
-
Very odd but great to hear that, thanks for letting us know!
-
Are you asking or saying it is working?
-
Sounds about average for your connection then unfortunately, maybe they will be able to do something though!
-
We have reproduced the chat issue, just a case of narrowing down why that's happening so it's definitely something we'll be able to fix. As it's shared, have you checked really late at night/very early in the morning to see if the ping/packet loss is reduced? Packet loss is normal to a certain extent but it's usually less than 1% on a decent line so being shared I can see that probably being about average - I don't know too much about it but that would be my expectation, especially if it does reduce during quiet times

It might be we need more settings available for IPv6 which I have requested before that can work. Though it shouldn't be too much of an issue not receiving pings, won't be related to chat as that's not working on IPv4 either. If it happens direct to the modem then you're definitely barking up the right tree, could even be the modem itself.

You can keep it disabled if you think that might be helping with the disconnects. That's right, I suspect if you enable that then the test will not mention that as a problem
-
Glad to hear it! Port Scan Protection is enabled by default so is recommended but it's up to you. I'll get the team to update heatmap again. Have you disabled respond to ping by any chance in settings?
-
Could you post again from a PC connected to the network - the IP has changed again
-
We're working on it right now so hopefully it will be sorted for the next version!
-
I just think the dev is really busy, we had a similar issue for a handful of users on the R2 that was fixed by a dev remotely connecting so I'm pretty sure it will be the same issue. I am chasing as much as I can

I'd suggest unplugging the router from power for 10 minutes, then plug in, wait 2 minutes then perform a hard reset using the pin in the back, hold for 30 seconds, release, wait 2 minutes then access and see whether that stops the crashes occurring. The bandwidth shouldn't affect it too much and share excess should be better on so it gets the bandwidth it needs when it needs it? I will badger the dev all week to get it done, sorry about this!

We did do an update so it should be better but I've already instructed them to do another -

Great thanks, did you put them in the form? -
Great thanks, I've passed that on, will get back to you as soon as I can

Sorry for the delay, dev tried to access today but wasn't able to, I suspect your IP has changed. Could you post here again using your broadband connection please?

Ping Heatmap suggestion/issue thread
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
To answer your questions: Use Ping Heatmap to find out where the servers are then use that to inform your Geo-Filter settings to force those servers. Click the ? icon at the top of the Geo-Filter page and choose the Rapp specific tour. If it uses OpenVPN then yes you can use it with the HybridVPN feature on the router and apply it to the TV -
Ping Heatmap suggestion/issue thread
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Hello, welcome to the forum! Ping Heatmap just pings the servers for the specified game - select the game, select ping and it will show them on the map. You will need to use a VPN to change your IP address to a German one if you want to do that. -
Sorry about this, I know the dev is really busy, I'll see if I can get someone else to do this on Tuesday once they're back in the office.

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
It could just be as simple as the timing of when you're trying to play, I suspect if you played the same time tonight you would be able to get games as its the weekend -
Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. We have to verify there is a fault before we can authorize a replacement so we'll have to go through steps you may have already tried first. If you could make a new topic that would be best so we can focus on your issue. If you could let us know the modem/router model the R2 is connected to in that post that would be a good starting point.
