No it shouldn't affect your ability to Geo-Filter at all. Having it disabled will affect QoS of course, Adblocker, Traffic Controller etc basically anything that relies on determining the type of traffic.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing the Netduma R3
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in News & Announcements
The bufferbloat score on Benchmark is independent to the speed portion of the test, however, on the R3 Connection Benchmark isn't actually available. Reason being is we've improved QoS and Ping Optimiser a lot and it uses Smart QoS which will intelligently allocate bandwidth based on your priorities. Also Anti-Jitter is coming! That's not a Geo-Filter issue, if you have trouble forcing servers sometimes (some are notorious for it), it's either because they're offline or at capacity and trying at a different time of day could allow you to connect. Yes it is Could you clarify this one please? I use WiFi calling at home on the R3 and haven't had any problems! -
What is the firmware version you're on currently? When did this start happening exactly?
-
There isn't really anything else that could be interfering with the traffic, did you try with the Traffic Controller rule? You could try disabling UPnP and port forwarding exclusively in case that isn't triggering correctly. The log often shows processes like that happening in the backend that appear like issues, you can ignore that.

R2 Firmware update not applying
Netduma Fraser replied to way2fast900rr's topic in Netduma R2 Support
It seems that even if the update goes through it's not actually updating for some reason. We've collected some data from another user with the same issue and we'll see if we can find the cause to then allow for a successful upgrade, if you check back in a few days I should know more by then. -
Ok, gli daremo un'occhiata, grazie

Ports are a broader way of prioritizing whereas DPI will only prioritize the packets that matter ensuring only the game and nothing else will be prioritized

Netduma R2 Packet loss and Ping spikes Wired and WiFi
Netduma Fraser replied to morph1kx's topic in Netduma R2 Support
While connected to the router via a Windows PC, open command prompt, type ping 192.168.77.1 -t press enter and let it run around 30 times then press Ctrl +C on the keyboard and provide a screenshot of the results please. Do so in the above configuration. Once you've done that also do the same but with ping 8.8.8.8 -t -
Copy the WAN IP on the router System Information page, access your ISP modem/router, find the DMZ feature (usually in Firewall or Security or WAN/LAN settings) and paste the IP. UPnP on the router is enabled by default but if you want you can disable this in the router settings.

Show server nodes
Netduma Fraser replied to mohands's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
We do this for Ping Heatmap now, we label the servers and if there is more than one in a location we'll do France 2, France 3 etc -
Sto solo cercando di accertare dove sia il problema, l'accesso all'interfaccia tramite l'app sul telefono non influisce in alcun modo sulla qualità della connessione

ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing the Netduma R3
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in News & Announcements
We're actually looking at this for that very reason so the R2 can still have a use if you have an R3. No promises but it's on our radar! I'm not sure but I doubt it to be honest. The VPN feature has actually been completely redone/redesigned so it'll be a lot more stable this time around. Confirmation email very likely went to spam, otherwise email us [email protected] and we can send you a screenshot of the order from the backend as your confirmation. -
NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
As above, that will allow you to enable it -
Thanks for your purchase, you could use the XR in AP mode if needed
-
No, at least not currently, we're moving to that Smart QoS where packets are prioritized rather than ports

Ping Assist does not work as intented
Netduma Fraser replied to Tony23's topic in Netduma R2 Support
You don't have to buy the R3, you can still use the R2 with all its features, just because we bring out a new router doesn't mean an older one is useless. As much as we would like to we can't update every single router with DumaOS on it for a lifetime to always have the latest and greatest. DumaOS 4 will come to the R2 though. -
If you email [email protected] we can provide a screenshot of the order as it appears on our system for your records. If all goes to plan you'll receive it by Xmas.
