Geo-Filter isn't blocking servers outside radius
Netduma Fraser replied to pdiorio's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I've sent you a PM with firmware that has Geo-Filter improvements, let us know if that helps at all. We're aware of Steady Ping not saving the state through a reboot and will resolve that. Have you disabled SmartBOOST entirely? If so that will be why I've sent you a private message with firmware also -

Only one person can play online at one time

Ah, this forum is for routers with our software DumaOS installed on them and that's what we help people with. It's not a general support forum. You're welcome to see if anyone can help with your issue but it may be best to have a look elsewhere as you may find better answers -
Ah, I think I may know the reason, Speed Test Bypass may not work with that site, could you use speedtest.net instead (we know this definitely works) and see whether you then get the full speeds as expected with SmartBOOST enabled?

Sorry for the late reply. You mentioned PPPoE, is this something you're seeing over DHCP as well? Are ALL devices connected to the R3? Do you have anything in the DMZ on the R3? Have you prioritized devices rather than activities? Have you made any Traffic Rules? I've sent you a firmware which has some Geo-Filter improvements, see if that helps at all

Okay that's good to hear, do keep us updated. The ping being higher is probably Steady Ping, we released a video recently on why it does this and how it works but you can disable it.

Yes if it's just one device it won't matter as much

Go to chrome://settings/system in the web browser and make sure Hardware acceleration is enabled, does that fix the issue?

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535

I think it is on this version, I don't have one to hand though to double check. It's up to Netgear for official releases so I couldn't say -

5ms is around what you could receive playing on LAN so the server would have to be very close to you for that to be accurate but if so, you're very lucky!

Cant connect to the App or 192.168.77.1
Netduma Fraser replied to lucakusej's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Are you connected via WiFi to the R3 or via ethernet on the R3 as you shouldn't have internet without completing the setup wizard. How is the R3 connected to your modem exactly? -
Are you using Armor? Are you connecting to the interface using HTTPS or is the browser forcing HTTPS?
-
How is the R3 setup with the modem, in its DMZ? Do you get open if you put the PC in the DMZ just briefly to check?
-
Is any network traffic happening at the time when testing? If you disable all the priorities does it make a difference?
-
It looks like everyone has helped you on this, any issues you're still having? Regarding the sale, it's been the same launch discount since we announced the router for pre-orders and hasn't changed at all since then. There is also no one working other than me and I definitely didn't change anything on the main website.

If you click on the device you added you can disable filtering for it
-
Do let us know how you get on with that! Steady Ping? In theory no it should just be applying to the Geo-Filter but did see some reports where it was affecting ping outside the Geo so perhaps just disable it before doing the tests to be sure.
