Does sound like lag compensation then and that high it's working for you rather than against you. I suspect it's probably due to the time of year, big spike in population numbers
-
Do you have another router upstream? If so how is that set? The IP of that server is reading as private which is very unusual
-
Are you getting an Open NAT? If so then it's just opening what is needed at the time

Sent but I doubt that would be the case

Okay if you could set the picture of the PC in Device Manager to a PlayStation then re-add it does it work then?
-
How is the ONT set? You should put it in modem/bridge mode or have the R3 in its DMZ so all traffic passes through to the R3 unimpeded. Are ALL devices connected to the R3? By default the router should run full speeds so it's likely what I've mentioned that needs to be done

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Most likely - if they do in fact release it officially -
You don't have to turn off UPnP now, reboot the console a few times then UPnP should show it. No you shouldn't need to do that anymore.

Likely some time in the New Year, it's still very fluid at the moment so I suspect once the team tackle the issues there will be more time to get some guides together- 61 replies

Device Manager Bug / Quirk - Naming Devices, Selecting Icons
Netduma Fraser replied to mindlash's topic in Netduma R3 Support
This has been reported so the team will be looking into it in the new year, thanks for the report though! -
Can you see servers on the Geo-Filter though? What firmware are you on currently?
-
Okay let us know how you get on!

R3 Stuck on bootlop first time booting
Netduma Fraser replied to DARKNESS's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Ahh I see, i think it just takes a little longer than you were giving it to apply -
There must be another server on the map when zoomed out or it can't actually be connecting you and you're actually playing, doesn't make any sense otherwise. If you disable the Geo-Filter I assume it just gets you one of the servers you don't want but appears as allowed?

If you disable SmartBOOST fully from the > Settings do you still get the issue?

Cat 6 Ethernet Cable in the R3 Box
Netduma Fraser replied to UK_Wildcats_Fans's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I'm not using mine and can't find it but I'm 99.9% sure it's not shielded -
What firmware version are you on currently?
-
Could be that lag compensation is working against you, if you force a server further away or throttle your speed severely do you notice a difference?

Petit bug sur le gestionnaire de périphériques
Netduma Fraser replied to Nyja's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Si le trafic n'est pas actif à ce moment-là, même si l'appareil est connecté, il n'apparaîtra pas en ligne. Dès qu'il utilise du trafic, il apparaîtra en ligne. -
Are you referring to the option on the XR series in WAN Settings where you can set it to Secured or Open? If so no, that's a Netgear feature though I have requested for us to do something similar. UPnP should open the devices for you, otherwise you may need to use port forwarding.

No Internet Connection Detected
Netduma Fraser replied to DeathRoll666's topic in Netduma R3 Support
That's great to hear! Yes the ideal setup would be to disable the WiFi on the hub. Also copy the WAN IP from the R3 WAN Settings page and enter that into the DMZ on the Hub - that will ensure you don't have any NAT issues. -
R3 needs rebooting everyday to access phone app/web page
Netduma Fraser replied to SamT98's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay thank you, sounds like it might be the cause, I will pass this on to the team to look at as soon as they're back from the holidays -
Cat 6 Ethernet Cable in the R3 Box
Netduma Fraser replied to UK_Wildcats_Fans's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I'm pretty sure it's just a standard Cat 6 cable - it does have details on the cable itself
