Well done on getting it sorted, keep us updated with how you get on!

Okay well if you can have it handle PPPoE instead (perhaps take it out of bridge/modem mode if applicable) then switch back the R3 to DHCP I suspect it'll then work

Problem with download and upload speed, poor ping.
Netduma Fraser replied to Sergejs Kotovs's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I've sent you a PM with the firmware, it does have Geo-Filter improvements, including Steady Ping. You only need to use one or the other That's great to hear, thanks for the update! -
Great to hear that, thanks for the update!

It sounds like it's working? Blocking everything outside your radius

Netduma R3 and Extender AX1800 ; EAx15 Netgear Mesh Extender
Netduma Fraser replied to boothay's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Try the above or reboot the R3, wait a few minutes then reboot the XR, wait a few minutes and see if that works -
Okay great! I believe the port forwards are working but just showing inactive, I've let the team know so they can work on it when they're back

Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works.

Good catch thank you, I'll pass it onto the team! -
I get this message trying to log on?
Netduma Fraser replied to Goodwinn20's topic in Call of Duty Support
Does this occur if you disable the Geo-Filter? -
when is 4.0.23 firmware coming out?
Netduma Fraser replied to Mr_Meeseeks's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Usually firmware will be pushed to the router, when the router shows an update is available and you click it a window will appear that will detail what is in the update. Due to the holidays and not wanting to push new not fully tested firmware I've been providing the latest one and monitoring for any major issues -
70% may work well on the R2 but the R3 is completely different so you may need to use different settings.

NETDUMA R3 for competitive call of duty
Netduma Fraser replied to Leidsy's topic in Call of Duty Support
Hardware is great and it does help of course don't get me wrong but imagine you've got the highest spec PC possible but it's running Windows 98 - it'll run it really well but at the end of the day it's still limited by the software. It's kind of like that, I feel that at a certain point there are diminishing returns. For example, some comments we've seen is why haven't we upgraded the Flash on the R3 compared to the R2 when other hardware specs have been improved and it's simply because it's not needed. We've optimized the software as much as possible so that it runs very efficiently on the hardware. As long as it has the capability to provide the necessary speeds, handle all the DPI, Geo-Filtering etc why charge more for unneeded specs. Anyways, bit of a ramble but in my opinion it's the software that matters, being able to push the hardware to its limit in an efficient way and that's what the R3 does.- 4 replies

What web browser/device are you using to access the interface? Do you have a browser based Adblocker enabled?
-
I don't have IPv6 to check unfortunately. Does the public IP show as an IPv6 address there on the WAN Settings page? It could be the combination of PPPoE and IPv6 causing the problem, do you have the ability to have the ISP modem/router handle PPPoE to double check this?

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It's entirely up to them so I couldn't say, it has however been longer than is expected. No it's unlikely the intermediary firmware would be needed for a launch version. -
Copy the WAN IP from the R3 WAN Settings page, then access the ISP modem/router interface, find the DMZ option and paste in the IP.

If your bandwidth speeds fluctuate a lot best to set them as the average of what you achieve. Then you can experiment with the Congestion Control settings to fine tune. Glad to hear it, once the team are back updates should start coming out much faster.

Problem with download and upload speed, poor ping.
Netduma Fraser replied to Sergejs Kotovs's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I've sent you a firmware via Private Message. Where are you testing the speeds? The ping increase is likely due to Steady Ping on the Geo-Filter this is done on purpose to provide a smoother game but you can disable it by clicking it at the top of the map. -
R3 needs rebooting everyday to access phone app/web page
Netduma Fraser replied to SamT98's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Let us know, we have also had a report disabling IPv6 in WAN/LAN fixes it but please try SmartBOOST first and only if that doesn't work try IPv6. Uninstall the app, re-install it and it should work then - also make sure you're connected to the R3 WiFi. -
when is 4.0.23 firmware coming out?
Netduma Fraser replied to Mr_Meeseeks's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Sent to everyone, also best to get the firmware from official methods generally! -
Are you using 3 different routers in sequence as that certainly won't be helping, especially if you haven't set the DMZ. How have you setup Congestion Control? As that would help in this situation. Could you expand on what you mean by the features not working exactly? We're aware Ping Optimizer/Speed test isn't 100% reliable at the moment, the team will be looking at that when they're back but it will still work at times. Does sound like Steady Ping raising the ping which is normal but you can disable it if you wish. I've sent you the .23 version that has some Geo-Filter improvements, I'd recommend factory resetting once it is complete.

Issues with r2 not saving on powercycle or updating firmware
Netduma Fraser replied to Aylinka's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Apologies for the delayed response, I did keep chasing but they were unable to do anything before the holidays. I'm sure after the new year now the R3 launch is out of the way they'll have more time to be able to connect. When did you purchase the router? Given the date of the post you wouldn't be eligible for a refund but we may be able to do a replacement and ship it with the latest version on. When did you purchase/what is your order number?
