You would need to contact them to ask them for what username/password it is, from recollection you can use the number 1 as username and password. The destination is chosen by the file you download. HybridVPN on the router is a VPN client - a way to connect to VPN services. With it you can VPN certain devices and not others, VPN certain services and not others etc.

Okay thank you, what firmware version are you on currently? (You can see this as a number on the top right of the interface) Have you made any port forwarding rules/DMZ/static routes/disabled UPnP on the R3? What is the platform you're playing on and if it's a console are you receiving an open NAT?

It's most likely the cloud that we need to update - it may also be the router hasn't downloaded the latest cloud yet so just in case resync the cloud on SmartBOOST & Geo-Filter and check again. Steady Ping won't always be able to stabilize the ping, if that happens it won't have any affect on the ping but all the other features will still work the same to help your ping.

Disable Geo-Latency and Ping Assist if you've enabled it in the Geo-Filter settings. You also need to enable the Geo-Filter before you boot up the console/game otherwise it won't work correctly. If you're changing Geo-Filter settings while on the game you will need to restart the game for them to take affect.

I am quite confident this will be due to the Easter holidays - more people playing the game (especially because of the update) so there is more load on the game servers. More people online/at home also means more ISP congestion and so with those two combined this could account for increased ping and decreased game performance. It's unlikely given you've not changed anything why pings would suddenly rise.

You would only need to have the VPN connected on the router or your PC, not both.

I know it's a PC not a console - have you followed the steps to change the device type to a PlayStation? Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing the device added and another screenshot of the Geo-Filter settings menu please?

No need to create multiple topics, I've deleted the others, lets just use this one. It is expected using the VPN through the router that speeds will be reduced - gaming does not need a lot of bandwidth so what you have will be plenty for playing. Double NAT is also expected when using a VPN.

Sounds like we need to update the Marvel Rivals service but SmartBOOST is still detecting gaming so it will prioritize. Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client You should then see the servers on the map then.

No sure what you mean but WAN should work just fine

Out of the 1000's of people that have the router a couple of people receiving the same log entry is common. As mentioned the team knew about a DPI issue and it was fixed on DumaOS 4.

Are you connected to the R2 via WiFi or ethernet in that scenario?

As you didn't make a new topic I've made one for you, please keep responses in this topic now. I've given you Early Access, you can find the firmware here: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/ Please upgrade to it, wait for it to be completed fully (wait 5 minutes after you upload the firmware) then factory reset the router and monitor to see if you get the same issue.

It changes to a different URL which may be why, use http://dumaos instead and see if that works

It has to be a realistic ping based on what you're likely to get. Doesn't affect players just the server/host of the game. It is possible to get higher than the ping when using the feature. Anything in your radius can still be allowed and be above that ping, it only applies to games outside the radius.

You've created a tunnel between you and the VPN server so the Geo-Filter will have a hard time with determining the traffic that's why I suspect it's not working very well with each other, you generally wouldn't need to use both at the same time

When you set Ping Assist it allows for any games outside your radius that would usually be blocked to be allowed if they are under your ping setting

Could you make a new topic please? It will start to get very confusing helping 3 people in one topic. In that topic please provide the answers to these questions: What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R2? E.g R2 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R2? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? Are ALL devices disconnecting? How often does it occur? When did it start happening? - After changing settings, adding/removing something from your physical setup? Grabbing the log from the System Information page when it happens would also be very helpful
