  1. Networking is complex, there is no one setting that will work for every person/connection/setup/country etc so it is best to experiment and fine tune a little to get the best experience. This guide will help with PingPlotter: https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping You can find CPU in Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced
  2. 70% is a good starting point but it won't necessarily work best for everyone. It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control, say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values.
  3. That's really strange, I think the only option left is to attempt to upgrade the firmware via TFTP which uploads the firmware before the boot process and therefore bypasses any issues there. Then once done do a factory reset for the freshest install possible: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-from-the-Microsoft-Windows-Command-Prompt?article=000059634
  4. Okay great and is that JSON error there or gone now as well?
  5. Can I get your QoS and Geo-Filter screenshots also please?
  6. Just to clarify, is it the WAN port as well that isn't working? If you connect via WiFi do you get internet? When you're connected via ethernet can you access the interface? If not, can you access when using WiFi?
  7. Not tonight no, everyone will have gone home but if you make yourself accessible, post back here from a device connected to the R2 I'll get someone to try tomorrow
  8. It's due/scheduled for this week, it'll be a different version to .23
  9. If it's been reset then you need to access the interface to complete the Setup Wizard before you get internet so don't worry about the no internet message. Just connect via ethernet for now to complete it
  10. Bufferbloat occurs when your connection is saturated i.e. all used up, that's what causes lag. That's all the test is checking. SmartBOOST is actively prioritizing your gaming, media etc so it's going against what the test is checking for, that's why we suggest disabling it for the test but you should then re-enable it after for the best experience.
  11. Do you have another router you can swap the R3 with to check if it works using that one?
  12. As I mentioned, thank you for the feedback, it's always good to receive criticism. I do wish you would have posted once asking for support as I'm sure we could have resolved a few of your issues. The R3 has sold much better than the R2 did in the same time frame so of course there will be more people posting, it is a support forum after all, you will only see issues here and as with the R2 and the XR range, the people posting represent a small percentage of the customer base.
  13. Okay that's really promising news! We will be doing more work on WiFi but in the meantime see if these suggestions help: Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _
  14. What's the error specifically you're getting? If it's the one I'm thinking of then disabling IPv6 in LAN/WAN and or disabling SmartBOOST should help to prevent it. We are looking into it.
  15. We're having trouble reproducing the issue which of course makes it hard to fix but we're working on it.
  16. If you could provide some screenshots of your QoS/Geo-Filter pages as well as your bufferbloat results we can advise further
  17. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR?
  18. Please do try the above, other than that we are working on Geo-Filter improvements still.
  19. 50% or lower yes, have you always been using it on Auto Enable or were you using Always? If Auto Enable, how was Traffic Prioritization set? Was it triggering when playing? I'm not sure yet, still could be settings based on what you answer
  20. Added, you can find it here: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/
  21. There should have been a guide included but connect an ethernet cable from the WAN/Internet port on the R2 to a LAN port on the Vodafone router. Connect to the R2 via WiFi or ethernet and go to http://192.168.77.1 to access the setup wizard/interface.
  22. Were you seeing the 41-45ms ping in game or on the Geo-Filter and was there a difference between the pings?
  23. As far as I am aware it's still on track for this week
  24. Once available anyone who wants it will be able to use it but it's not available yet
  25. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to the list. Doing the above would definitely help with this.
