You won't get internet until completing the Setup Wizard that should show when you access in the way above
-
Basically what you've been doing by allowing that server you'll need to do it a few more times to get all of the authentication servers. If you provide the IDs we can get them added to the global whitelist as well so that makes it easier

Game servers, especially CoD servers don't respond to traditional pings which can result in no ping being reported. In cases where this happens we run a trace to the server and show the last ping response received in the hope that it will be somewhat close to the real ping. However, if any hops along this route also don't respond to pings then it won't show a result either which sounds like exactly what is happening for you. There isn't anything specifically we can do about it. We are looking into an alternative ping method that may help but couldn't say if/when this could be implemented. The game will show you your ping so you can get an idea of what you're getting. You should still see the location of the server on the map and it should be within your radius. You can also use Ping Heatmap to get an estimate.

Thanks a lot!

What game are you playing? What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi? How have you setup the Geo-Filter? Can you provide a screenshot?

NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
To answer your questions: It's a NTGR feature so they don't consult with us when removing one of their own features but I expect so. Unlikely, they probably removed it intentionally. Check the DumaOS version on the System Information page if it starts with 3.3 then yes, if not no. Yes if you really want that functionality -
No worries! How are you disabling the Geo-Filter exactly? Do you get the issue with any other games when wired?
-
Can you connect via ethernet through your ISP modem/router? Do you have the Geo-Filter enabled, if so does it work when disabled? Have you made any specific rules/settings changes on the router for the device you're playing on?

Need Setup Help on GeoFilter with Playstation
Netduma Fraser replied to Namamai's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Just to clarify, the R3 is connected to the DLINK? If so has it been put in modem/bridge mode or has the R3 been put in its DMZ? Did the speed test report and set 200/200? Congestion Control is what Ping Optimizer would have adjusted if you completed it, did you run that? If so what does Congestion Control show (Ping Optimizer > Advanced). Are you applying a VPN to the console? If you're trying to force Singapore then you need to cover only that area, not Australia as well. -
Need Setup Help on GeoFilter with Playstation

The ping would improve if they were not connecting to Aus servers before, if they were and they still are then there is unlikely to be much of a ping change just by covering the servers usually played on. Is an icon actually appearing on the map/within the radius when playing? It would also be easier if they engaged with us directly so they could answer these questions more easily such as: What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? How is the PS5 connected, via ethernet or WiFi? -
Need Setup Help on GeoFilter with Playstation
Netduma Fraser replied to Namamai's topic in Netduma R3 Support
What do you mean it's not working exactly? Filtering is disabled there so it wouldn't be getting servers within the radius -
There will be servers that we need to allow to prevent this happening, you've already found one workaround, disable the Geo-Filter, use Discord and then you can re-enable the Geo-Filter to filter again. As the Discord connection will still be active it will not be blocked until that connection is severed. Otherwise have a look on the map for a blocked icon when it happens, click it then add it to your allow list and that will prevent it happening again - you may need to do it a few times to get all the applicable servers. If you could then provide the IDs of those servers we can get them added to the global whitelist.

un prioritized packets
Netduma Fraser replied to L7NALMARI's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
The unprioritized packets out of the background packets equates to ~0.0035% which would be imperceptible. It's also on background traffic i.e. traffic you don't care about as much and what you are prioritizing is having no lost packets. So basically this has nothing to do with your gaming experience at all. -

Is it all devices, specific? Have you split the bands? If so is it 2.4/5GHz or both dropping? Any patterns to the drops?

That's right and just the changing of DHCP lease and setting static for devices on the R3. Let us know how you get on

Ping optimizer or congestion control?
Netduma Fraser replied to PerfectShots's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Auto will work when you're gaming (assuming that's what you're prioritizing on SmartBOOST) so you don't need to set it to Always -

Ping optimizer or congestion control?
Netduma Fraser replied to PerfectShots's topic in Netduma R3 Support
As above I'd suggest manual most of the time - the server provided optimizer uses can be unreliable with speeds/ping etc so manual is my recommended way to fine tune -
GEO Filter problem EU>NA / PS5 / WARZONE - crossplay off
Netduma Fraser replied to Pianist's topic in Call of Duty Support
Glad to hear you fixed the issue, thanks for the update -
You would assign a reserved/static address on the ISP router for the R3, not the other way around as the R3 is connected to the ISP router. Go to Settings > DHCP > Add Rule > Select a device and save, repeat for all your devices. Also in DHCP settings set the lease to 10,000. Make those changes, reboot the router from the interface, close the interface, wait 4 minutes and see if it happens again.
