  1. Is it a pure modem from spectrum i.e. does it have WiFi? If so do you still have devices connected to it? Disabling TP wouldn't lower your speeds, that doesn't really make any sense. Set NAT to open in WAN settings, that will help if there are any port issues. I would suggest removing the XR before the tech gets there as they can blame it first rather than test the modem/their side of things first.
  2. We're aware Ping Optimizer isn't 100% accurate at the moment. I'd suggest manually changing the Congestion Control percentages down to around 70% each (Ping Optimizer > Advanced) and it should be more stable overall but experiment with the percentages to find what works best for you - don't keep doing the test to find that out as it will just revert the percentages.
  3. Not specifically no but if you prioritize the device on SmartBOOST it can then take most of the speed
  4. Yes it can and it needs to be connected to a modem/router/ONT/box via ethernet to get internet - it can not do the job of a modem. It won't cause any issues.
  5. There can be interference on that width but it should be fine overall, it's likely there is interference on the other widths causing you to have a lower speed on them.
  6. Use the radius instead of the custom filter and also remove your denied server just in case its a necessary server for online play and try again please
  7. Disable Traffic Prioritization on the QoS page, that could be interfering with it. You're right on the cusp on what is needed for streaming so it's always going to be a bit of a struggle/balancing act trying to get it stable. What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR?
  8. Do you mean it's setting it to 10.2% or it's reporting that its managed to get your ping down to 10.2? Steady Ping on expert will make you have a higher ping but good to hear it's performing better.
  9. You'd have to check their manual but if you're not sure just find the DMZ or exposed host option and put the R3 in that
  10. That's not the purpose of the router so isn't something we'd be able to help you with specifically. You can set a range on Ping Assist though, drag the left red ball to the right to do so.
  11. Did you follow all the steps through? Can you provide a new screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please?
  12. If that's the case then just connect them together, ensure all devices are connected to the R3. Set the livebox in modem/bridge mode or put the R3 in its DMZ and that's it for making them work together, then you can have fun with the R3 settings
  13. If you want to yes, the lowest you can put there is 2
  14. Yes you can change the min to .2 - you can also assign reserved IPs to devices so they can have a smaller number - the number must be within .2 & 250 though.
  15. At 94% it's not going to be very effective. Try 70% for both and experiment from there. Do this for Geo-Filter: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client It'll work better then
  16. Try it in the other ports just in case it's a port issue. It should be fine at that length but the longer it is the more prone to interference it becomes so it would be a good idea if you're not already to use a shielded ethernet cable just to mitigate any potential interference.
  17. Was there anything that changed in your settings or surroundings when it got slower? E.g. new devices/electronics added to the home, new neighbours etc? Try these suggestions: Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _
  18. Congestion Control is on Auto at what percentages precisely? How specifically has the Geo-Filter been set?
  19. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How is your PC connected, via ethernet or WiFi? How have you setup the Geo-Filter?
  20. You can ignore the speed test on the router, if the router was limiting your speeds then you wouldn't be able to get higher upload on Ookla. Having QoS completely disabled however is likely responsible for the fluctuating bitrate issue you're experiencing. I know you don't have much upload to play with so try it on 90% for example and see if you notice any improvements - do also lower download to 70%.
  21. The specific model should be on a sticker on the underside of it and potentially details to access it also. Do you have any devices connected to the ISP modem/router? With Congestion Control set to 100% it's essentially disabled - you'll need to lower this to combat local congestion. How do you mean you've optimized your ping and set it to 10.2? What have you set to 10.2?
  22. I'd suggest making a new topic but the default credentials are admin / password
  23. If it's jumping that high then simple definitely won't be able to contain it, you would need to use expert and set it towards the top of your peaks. It sounds like you have some instability overall: What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? What game are you playing? What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi? How have you setup the Geo-Filter?
  24. They're getting higher pings - Ping Assist will allow any servers below and in some cases slightly above that value. If you know you can get servers at a lower ping then it is better to force them specifically
  25. I don't think it's an issue on your side at all, you've done everything right, I think the servers are under load so the above is what I would advise
