It's just log spam, it's harmless, you can ignore it, we will remove it from the next version I believe

need help with xr500 on pc
Netduma Fraser replied to steven101's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Did you have the Geo-Filter enabled for the PC when trying to download? If so disable it then try again -
Yes that's right, it's on their hardware and ultimately if something were to go wrong it would be their name on the product
-
For EE I couldn't say exactly but for ourselves we're hoping to have it sorted, tested and out there on the platforms we don't need permission for by end of day Friday so I'd expect at least next week if they were to approve it quickly

Great thanks, no worries at all!

Don't use the polygon/country filter, just use the normal circular radius with simple, do you get the same issue? If so then it must be something from the instructions I mentioned before that has been missed. If you have a PC it would be much easier to see what may be happening with a screenshot from there.

The cloud will be the same for everyone but it doesn't necessarily mean they use the same servers for these purposes worldwide but sometimes they do so worth a try. If it does, if you could get the IDs of the servers we can add them to the allow list.
-
If you have a PC then it's just doing the above. Did you enable the Geo-Filter after launching the game?
-
The servers can change/go out of date quickly, we'll update it again next week

If you're already playing on a low ping then there may not be much you can do but: What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup Traffic Prioritization? How have you setup the Geo-Filter?

This is your topic now I just meant in general and going forward. In your topic about the issue you just referred to, we offered, even though you were outside the warranty to provide a replacement for you, you just needed to email us. That was 2 years ago. Checking emails you emailed us last month about this and at the time I replied saying "You weren't left without a resolution, it does say there that we would arrange a replacement for you. However, as you've waited 2 years to contact us a replacement is now no longer possible, we don't sell the R2 anymore and don't have any spare. We also don't provide a repair service. I can offer you 30% off an R3 if you're interested but that's the best I can do now. You could sell the router as spares/repairs on eBay." A month on that hasn't changed. We do care about customers being happy, that's why we originally offered to replace it outside of warranty.

I'm not sure what you mean but it's impossible to delete the firmware from the router. Could you clarify what you mean exactly? Can you provide a screenshot? It's a support forum so you should make a topic to get help with your issues, I get lots of PMs and it's not possible to respond to them all, it's far better to make a topic where I can see it and other people can help too.

Ideally on a PC but from that screenshot it looks like you have filtering off for the device, scroll up and check the device has filtering switched on

Can you provide a screenshot of the map showing what you're seeing please?

Presumably you're connecting most of the devices to the Giga hub given your speeds, that is why you can't seem to stabilize the bufferbloat test more as the router is not controlling your entire network. It's also kind of unnecessary for you to run the test through the router as it's only capable of 1Gbps so a third of your connection so you won't be able to saturate your connection (which is when bufferbloat happens) assuming you're doing downloads through the giga so I wouldn't worry about the results at all

That's when you're launching the game, wait in the lobby until they disappear then follow the instructions and you'll just get 1 appearing
-
That is very strange! I can't think why that would be, how you're playing it shouldn't really make a difference. Just in case it helps for whatever reason do this: Quit the application/game/client completely - including the game client from the System Tray - important! Remove device from the Geo-Filter If you're on PC then give it the PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client It's essential the Geo-Filter is enabled before the game client or the game have been launched. If you change Geo-Filter settings when you're on the game then you will need to restart the game for those changes to take effect, otherwise it will use the previous Geo-Filter settings and appear not to be working.
