Could you provide a video going through the different pages of the router or sequential screenshots please of how you have things setup? I think in this case it will help narrow down some things. What I'm particularly interested in is: Geo-Filter Congestion Control/QoS Device Manager System Information Settings > Internet Setup Settings > WAN Setup Settings > LAN Setup

I mean where are you running the speed test, using the built in router speedtest, speedtest.net etc? Was there a previous router you were using? If so take the MAC address from that and make the R3 use it instead in Settings > WAN > Advanced, once set reboot the router from the interface, wait 4 minutes then check the speed again

Has PPPoe disconnect bug been fixed?
Netduma Fraser replied to Redflame's topic in Community Discussion
Thanks for the update! So if like you said the fritzbox doesn't arrive by the time the service goes live and you want to connect the R3 up (presumably to an ONT?) then you'll need to use PPPoE. If you want to use the fritzbox and connect the R3 to that then the expose host option is essentially the DMZ which would mean that the fritz handles PPPoE and the R3 doesn't, it will just ensure you don't get any NAT issues using the two together. Pretty straightforward for the exposed host option, just entering the R3 IP or MAC address as far as I am aware but any issues with any of it do let us know! -

That's correct, though you may not get the issue initially - that person didn't right away, was only after a factory reset it occurred. As in setting the WAN IP as static on the R3 might help, I wouldn't necessarily suggest buying a static IP purely for that purpose though as it's not a proven workaround. -
That's great to hear, do keep us updated!

I would suggest just leaving everything at their defaults for now, especially from Settings and see how you get on

How is it after the factory reset?

No fix specifically yet, there is a recent topic on the matter which may have some useful info for you https://forum.netduma.com/topic/60877-pppoe-session-not-automatically-reconnecting-every-24h-–-netduma-r3-firmware-40540 -
Quite possibly that could be a reason - make a new account if possible (maybe there is a free trial?) and see if you can match more easily

No worries, that's exactly what this kind of support is for so you can answer when it is convenient for you, we'll keep answering if you do. What do you mean by "picture of the speed test run from my cellphone, after being able to get online via Ethernet port, but not via WiFi" are you saying you have an ethernet adapter for your phone that you were using? The firmware doesn't go back if you factory reset, it will stay on the one you're on but you won't be able to miss that you've factory reset correctly if you see the setup wizard instead of the normal interface. Okay keep us posted!

You should only see that on devices that you haven't set an IP for, though they shouldn't even be able to connect. Yes probably best to do that now. You mentioned it only started a few months ago, did anything change in your physical setup or settings wise prior to it?

Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely - including the game client from the System Tray - important! Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give the PC the PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client To force servers you need to do the following: It's essential the Geo-Filter is enabled before the game client (e.g. Steam etc) if on PC or platform (e.g. Xbox, PlayStation) or the game have been launched. If you change Geo-Filter settings when you're on the game then you will need to restart the game for those changes to take effect, otherwise it will use the previous Geo-Filter settings and appear not to be working. For settings ensure Ping Assist and Geo-Latency are disabled in the Geo-Filter menu that can be found by clicking ⋮ in the top right hand corner of the page and go to Settings. Strict Mode should also be enabled, it is enabled by default so if you haven't disabled it you can ignore it. If you have disabled it or want to check it can be found in the same Settings menu as above or in Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced > Developer Options depending on your firmware version. Fast Search should also be disabled which it is by default so can be ignored if you haven't changed it, otherwise this can be found in the same place.

CG-NAT is not dependent on removing an extra router from your setup, it's on the ISP side - look at the bottom of this guide to test if you have a CG-NAT https://support.netduma.com/docs/dumaos-3/open-nat/ It's very odd though that you can't connect to close servers even without the Geo-Filter and on the latest game. Are you having any other internet issues? Are you able to play any other online games?

A VPN is likely to make it more difficult honestly but it may help force them. You don't need a computer, you could copy and paste from your phone I should think. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi?

There isn't any indication in the logs that its a factor but it's worth a try

Thanks for the comments, I'll pass them on the team for when this is considered

I couldn't say when/if any requests may be implemented. All I can say is when our major features we're working on are done and stable that should open up more time to focus on requests.
