Geo-Filter not able to access cloud
Netduma Fraser replied to JTR's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Interesting, do you have another router you could put in front of the XR to handle PPPoE/VLAN? If so then put the XR in that router DMZ and then see if the issues persist after a reboot please. -
New XR1000 dropping internet over LAN
Netduma Fraser replied to mfielding's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Welcome to the forum! Did you do a factory reset after upgrading? If not that's possibly the cause of the issues you had. In LAN Settings, set the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes and see if that stops the disconnects. -

Geo-Filter not able to access cloud
Netduma Fraser replied to JTR's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
What web browser are you using to access the interface? What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that up to ensure an Open NAT for devices connected to the XR - modem mode, DMZ etc? -
Ping Heatmap - Showing Zero Warzone servers. *fixed
Netduma Fraser replied to Dogzirra's topic in Community Discussion
Looks like we may need to update heatmap, thanks for the report, I'll let the team know. It won't affect the Geo-Filter/your ability to get games. -
Correct Setup (Help Required)
Netduma Fraser replied to alex.devine's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Brilliant to hear that, thanks for the update, keep us posted! -
Seems quite normal there, you have a lot of bandwidth still available. Do you see the same issue using different browsers/in an incognito window? Does it only happen on YouTube or does it happen on other video streaming sites, Twitch, Vimeo, Netflix etc?
-
Sorry I meant the Network Monitor on the router to see if any other devices are using a lot of bandwidth
-
Interesting, have a look at the Network Monitor while playing a video, is there anything else using significant bandwidth? Quite possible, especially if it's just the PC with the issue - looks like you're using Chrome? Which is a particularly resource hungry web browser. Try another browser/clear your cache/cookies and see if that changes anything. Close any unused applications that might be consuming unnecessary RAM.

If you disable QoS fully from the Congestion Control menu and then try, do you notice a difference?
-
Could you disable Adblocker please and then see if the quality/speed is better?

Correct Setup (Help Required)
Netduma Fraser replied to alex.devine's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
The IPs are local so that's normal. Yes everything should be connected to the XR for QoS to work optimally, if the Sky Glass is connected to the BT Hub then that is probably why you're getting lag as the XR can't control it. Disabling the WiFi on the BT hub would be a good idea to prevent any automatic/accidental connections to it. -
The R2 is limiting my internet speed to 100mbps max !!
Netduma Fraser replied to Mubarak's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Hey, welcome to the forum! In most cases it will be the ethernet cables you're using that are limiting you so make sure you're using Cat5e cables or higher. -
keep losing connect with lan xr1000
Netduma Fraser replied to pig's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Take it out of modem mode then set the DMZ. After that, in LAN Settings on the XR, set the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes and see if that stops the disconnects. -
Okay so it's possibly just a browser issue, go ahead and update, factory reset after then accessing using an incognito window again and see if it is working
-
The video isn't working, would you be able to upload it again? Unplug the router for 10 minutes, plug in, wait 2 minutes, hold the reset button for 30 seconds, release, wait 2 minutes then attempt access.

Could you enable remote support in WAN Settings and also make sure the modem is in modem mode/the R2 is in its DMZ please? Then we can remote in on Monday and have a look
