What were the rules you had added exactly? I suspect a conflicting rule may have been added which has gotten the router into a weird state.

adBlocker missing on XR1000?
Netduma Fraser replied to Sianlu's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Hey, welcome to the forum! Do you know if you have the XR1000 or XR1000 v2? Adblocker is definitely available on the XR1000 v1 via the main interface. I suspect you're either on an old v1 firmware or v2 and therefore seeing some inaccurate information on the app. -
Syntax Error with Ping Heatmap
Netduma Fraser replied to Naresh's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Are you accessing the interface using HTTPS? If so make sure you're using HTTP and it should work. It may be your web browser is forcing a connection using HTTPS. -

It doesn't matter too much, it's more for aesthetic purposes so whatever you feel is most applicable/relevant you can use.

When are you getting this error exactly, when loading the page, after entering a config, making a rule etc?

Could you click the icon on the log panel instead and download it please as it's very hard to read this

On every panel on the interface you'll see a ? icon in the top right of the panel and this will give you extra information on how it works. In essence, bufferbloat only occurs when your connection is saturated i.e. all your bandwidth is being used. A download for example will always try to max out your bandwidth. By limiting your speed to 90% for example it prevents a download or anything else from maxing out your connection and therefore preventing bufferbloat/lag. That 10% isn't reserved for gaming specifically.

Hello, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue, when the disconnect happens are you able to access the router interface? If so please get the log from the System Information page when it happens and that should give us an indication of why it is happening. What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to?

If you have Anti-BB set to Always then it'll apply regardless to the type of traffic which sounds like what you need here. You can't always be certain as to what the source ports will be but have a reasonable idea of what the destination ports are, could you change that to 80 - 1935 as that's more likely to work. You can leave both but Classified would pick up any gaming and prioritize it.

Device that isn't the device?
Netduma Fraser replied to Milkman's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Reboot the router from the interface, use a different device to access the router, remove offline devices from the Device Manager menu . Then if possible re-connect one device at a time and give it a reserved IP in LAN Settings. Once you've done all that reboot again and remove offline devices again. See if it then starts appearing. -
Device that isn't the device?
Netduma Fraser replied to Milkman's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That's a good theory, on the underside of the router it should show the MAC address, or you can find it on the Internet Setup page, does that match the MAC address for the 'Switch'? -
So doing a speedtest didn't work for it? Does Network Monitor show any traffic for it?

Hey, welcome to the forum! This scenario is exactly what Congestion Control/Anti-Bufferbloat was designed for, do you have this enabled at all? It depends what the ports the FireTV and the apps are using on it are but if you make an Advanced rule for it like this: Source 1 - 65535 Destination 80 - 443 Protocol TCP/UDP that should work but the game device may suffer so would be best to use Congestion Control/Anti-Bufferbloat instead. No ETA on that, it is planned though.

It's not an external page, it's the mobile view of the interface essentially, we will get it on the normal desktop view soon. As this is the latest if you do encounter the same issue again our devs will be more able to have a look at what is happening.

You can find it here: http://192.168.77.1/dumaweb/#smartqos Click the 3 dots top right of the screen and you can disable it completely there.

As long as you're logged into your account you'll be able to find it here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51284-new-r2-firmware-33502-smartqos-version-4/ I can't provide an external link to it unfortunately.

You can use DumaOS Classified Games, CoD or Games Console. If you're on Early Access Gaming or CoD should work best.
