  1. We don't have any recommendations for this specifically as it doesn't help your ability to have a good connection.
  2. No not specifically using the router software, is there a particular use case you have for this?
  3. Just add the console, that's all you need to do. Yes it would delete the VPN rule as well though it's best to delete any custom rules for devices before deleting the device just to make sure it doesn't cause any errors. We have Early Access that has been running for awhile with newer firmware that you can try if you sign up here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/
  4. If you could provide some logs from the System Information page when the disconnect happens we can see if there is anything that could be causing it.
  5. So actually there were a few tests missing but a lot of your testing is based off of Auto Setup which is still being improved upon, Connection Benchmark which uses Google servers (not everyone gets a great connection to them) and 3rd party bufferbloat tests which I don't generally recommend. I think this is why some of the results you're seeing aren't the best. What I would suggest is, saturate your connection with downloads and videos etc, this is better because you're simulating actual traffic on your connection which is more of a real world test. You know how to use Ping Plotter already but I would suggest following this: https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping The key part there is using a local site to test, a news site in your country/state/county for example is likely to be more stable for you. So while you have your connection being saturated with downloads, videos etc and a local site is being pinged it's then best to start with a high value for Congestion Control (while set to Always), say 95% then check the bottom Ping Plotter graph, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values. Ideally by following the guide you'll find your base ping, then you'll see how high your ping goes when the connection is saturated and then you'll find the best CC values that bring your ping down as close to your base ping as possible while all of that traffic is happening. This way you can be absolutely sure that your connection will never be saturated and that no matter what is happening on your network it will not affect your ping at all.
  6. Apologies, a lot to go through, I'll go through it all within the next few hours and provide some feedback. Not specifically no, the PC has a different MAC address depending on the connection method. For Bandwidth Allocation it won't matter as it'll give bandwidth to devices that need it so there won't be any bandwidth going to the 'device' that isn't 'online' if you see what I mean.
  7. Given the things that have been done so far it would likely need a factory reset to resolve, that's why it would be worth upgrading to the beta as you would do a factory reset when doing that process anyway. It should be stable enough for you.
  8. Do you still get the error if you upgrade to the beta build?
  9. Not sure why it happened, I've not seen this particular event occur before, tech can be weird sometimes! Glad you got it resolved though!
  10. When did the issue start happening, after changing settings or accessing differently etc?
  11. Does that mean you have your ISP modem/router handling PPPoE now? Is the time zone showing correctly now after the reset?
  12. No you don't, when it looks like the above that's all you need for a console.
  13. Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes before accessing and see if it works then please.
  14. That's not needed, if you have your console set to a PlayStation in the Device Manager, when you add it to the VPN it will add like this: and you don't need to do anything else, it will apply to the entire device.
  15. All you need to do is add it and it will add greyed out, then it will be applying to the entire console, nothing else you need to add
  16. If that is what has happened then yes unfortunately you will need to factory reset to clear it as it's the only way to delete the conflicting rules.
  17. Could you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please? For WiFi try these suggestions and see if you get a better experience. Disable Mirror Mode, give 2.4/5GHz different names and apply - you'll want to connect to 5GHz specifically for speeds Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _
  18. Thank you, it looks like you're using PPPoE is that right? It looks like it's trying to get a connection using PPPoE but is unable to, you could be on to something with the date and that is why it is failing. On the R2 interface if you click the 3 dots top right, then go to advanced and select timezone then select the correct zone and save. You may have to enable/disable DST, once you've got the date showing correctly reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes then access and see if you have internet please.
