That's great thanks, we think we've fixed it now so should be sorted for the next firmware!

congestion control not work with waveform
Netduma Fraser replied to justin peryea's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I think that'll be the max you can get on this firmware then, the next firmware *might* help but not a guarantee -
Duma OS banable after Battle.net terms update?
Netduma Fraser replied to rvndo's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I suspect this is more about DDoSing, lag switching etc as the router is a router, it provides internet, it determines what you can and can't connect to, nothing that could be detected as wrongdoing there -
Thank you, where roughly are you located? The server definitely is in LA. I've tried tracing the IP and as expected it's timing out so a theory I have, though we have a couple is that it's not able to ping and so taking the last hop it can get. We'll look into it.

Gaming not being picked up while playing STEAM games
Netduma Fraser replied to Kratos's topic in Netduma R3 Support
On the Device Manager page click the icon top right and resync the cloud then try again and see if it picks it up please. Also what firmware version are you on currently? -
I don't recall anyone specifying an issue with this? If it's the WiFi issue where using two devices on 2.4GHz for example isn't working and one needs to be on 2.4 and the other 5 then this is fixed for the next version

Ah okay understood, if you get the logs that should tell us more
-
We can certainly look into doing that, if you're able to help by following the instructions here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51505-adding-new-games-and-applications-to-dumaos/ that will help us get it supported faster.

Have you set a static IP on the PC or router at all? If you wait ~30 seconds after turning on the PC does the internet then work?
-
What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Have you set your expected speeds? How do you have Congestion Control set in Ping Optimizer > Advanced? Is speed test bypass enabled?
-
Okay interesting, if you try playing without the controller entirely, do you get the same issue? Could you get the logs from the Troubleshooting > Advanced please and that may tell us more

I think we've probably already sorted that and the DPI update is in the process of being pushed -
congestion control not work with waveform

If you disable SmartBOOST fully on the page by clicking the icon what do you get then? -
It won't always stabilize that is normal, just the nature of the beast that it won't be able to do it 100% of the time

Steady ping bug fix for now
Netduma Fraser replied to Freebandzz's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
We're aware that aspect isn't working 100% reliably, should be better in the next one -
congestion control not work with waveform
Netduma Fraser replied to justin peryea's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I can't see it now so should be disabled, any higher speeds? -
What game are you playing and on what platform? When you notice it have a look at what is being blocked, then you can add it to the whitelist. DumaOS 4 is much easier to develop on and is much more interconnected as well which is something DumaOS 3 can't do. We're not struggling, we're a software company so open sourcing the software that makes us money wouldn't help us in any way. Updates have never been on a schedule, we'll release them when we can/when they're ready.

Steady ping bug fix for now
Netduma Fraser replied to Freebandzz's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Uninstall it then reinstall it and see if that works please -
You don't have to bypass the ONT/modem, this is the normal setup for most people

congestion control not work with waveform
Netduma Fraser replied to justin peryea's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Nothing to do with Congestion Control. If you were using PPPoE you'd have put credentials in to get a connection. Have you definitely disabled IPv6 in LAN & WAN as I can see you're still getting an IPv6 address -
R3 Cant read full fiber speeds!
Netduma Fraser replied to bayleeshymko's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Using a router the speeds will always be a little slower and ping slightly higher than if you have 1 device connected to a modem. To eliminate bufferbloat Congestion Control should be used which will lower your speeds a little, this is normal - Bufferbloat/lag occurs when your network is saturated i.e. all your bandwidth is being used, by lowering Congestion Control you ensure that not all your speed can be used and therefore bufferbloat/lag does not occur. -

What is the upload you pay for? Are you using PPPoE? -
Steady ping bug fix for now
Netduma Fraser replied to Freebandzz's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
No SteadyPing is only on DumaOS 4 which won't be coming to the XR series. Yes the app should now work for you, make sure it's on the latest from your app store
