cant access xr500
Netduma Fraser replied to rjaaayyy's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Do you have Smart Connect enabled for WiFi? If so, if you disable that and connect to 2.4 or 5GHz manually can you still not access? Where is it saying that exactly, on the console dashboard, game etc? -
It's likely the server became mislocated and the "Polish" servers were also mislocated as well, if you can provide the ID of one of them I can double check. Do you have Geo-Latency enabled or have you put the device in the DMZ or made an Internet Rule to allow all traffic?
-
It doesn't really make too much sense, what other settings have you changed from their defaults?
-
It's Behavioral Identification, nothing to do with WiFi but how the router interacts with packets so my thought process was it might be incorrectly classifying the traffic and dropping packets. Disable SmartBOOST fully from the and see if it works then please

They're putting some more applications in the update and then it will be out, no specific due date but it will be included -
Ping Optimizer is not working and my ping is raised!
Netduma Fraser replied to TheRealQM's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Ping Optimizer just changes the Congestion Control percentages so it will be possible to get good results, though it did use a different server to do so, it is possible that server was closer than the one you're testing with. Follow this guide https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping while downloading & start with 95% for Congestion Control (set to Always), check results, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good & then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values. This will be more of a real world test rather than a simple online test. -
What do you mean the time frame isn't in it? As in when the disconnect happens that wouldn't be included? I'd need the data from when the disconnect happens
-
It would be an OpenVPN configuration file, copy the contents and paste it into HybridVPN, I can't tell you what file to use, I don't have the service and don't know what server you want
-
It's likely you have a different issue then, when it happens could you provide the log from the router please?
-
You don't need to run Ping Optimizer, you just click on it and go to advanced straight away. Split the WiFi bands and have it connect directly to 5GHz, does it get better speeds and work better then?

Netduma R2 Keeps Factory Resetting on its Own
Netduma Fraser replied to schmizzbeats's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Sounds like it is losing power, make your settings changes then reboot from the interface, this will act as a hard save and hopefully prevent it happening again. Do you have it connected to a power extender or direct to an outlet? If an extender please try direct to an outlet. Otherwise do you have another power adapter you could try with? -
Issues with Netduma R2 since April 2025
Netduma Fraser replied to adro's topic in Netduma R2 Support
It should definitely be resolved now so yours could be a different issue. What do you mean you can't open ports? When are you getting this error specifcally, after trying to downgrade/upgrade? Could you provide a video of the process if possible? I have given you access: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/ -
Ping Optimizer is not working and my ping is raised!
Netduma Fraser replied to TheRealQM's topic in Netduma R3 Support
We usually suggest starting with 70% for both to start with and then experimenting from there. For the mode it's down to personal preference and when you want it to activate -
Presumably you're looking for Congestion Control which is in Ping Optimizer > Advanced What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router?

Problem connecting DumaOS with Android APP.
Netduma Fraser replied to Spylock's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You'll have to keep an eye on the beta sub forum for us to post it there, we may or may not post on socials but if we did it wouldn't be right away -
Problem connecting DumaOS with Android APP.
Netduma Fraser replied to Spylock's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Oh I see, my mistake, it's unable to confirm you're connected to the XR1000, likely because it's not able to read the previous version. I'm hoping the firmware won't be much longer -

You'll need to adjust Congestion Control manually then to achieve the same effects - Ping Optimizer > Advanced. -
Problem connecting DumaOS with Android APP.
Netduma Fraser replied to Spylock's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It would be a version not available on the XR1000 currently - once it's updated to 3.3 it should work better. Okay that's good you can use that app so it probably is what I mentioned then. I believe it's somewhere in the administration settings. Not sure what you mean, from your screenshot above you can see it immediately as you go on the app -
Problem connecting DumaOS with Android APP.
Netduma Fraser replied to Spylock's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Potentially it's due to the DumaOS app being much further ahead in terms of the firmware it usually supports, do you get the same issue if you try logging in with the Nighthawk mobile app? Have you enabled the option for remote management of the interface? That might be a security trigger where it locks down remote access if there has been an unauthorized login attempt - are you able to access again say 30 mins - 1hr after it's blocked via the web? -
There are vents all over, not just exclusively on the underside so it will still be able to circulate air. There aren't specific screws that you'll need, it will accomate whatever screws you have. I've included a screenshot of the slots you can see on either side of the label.

Okay so have the fritz in its router mode so it handles PPPoE, put the R3 WAN IP (found either on the fritz device list or the R3 WAN Settings page) into the exposed host on the fritz. Then with PPPoE removed from the R3 see if you can access it reliably.

As others have mentioned, it will enable you to play on US servers but will not allow you to get a lower ping to them due to the distance. Imagine you want to go on holiday somewhere, there is a minimum amount of time it would take you to get there via plane, it works the exact same. Unless the laws of physics can be broken or we get some quantum networking on the go then you won't be able to get EU pings to US servers for example.
