Networking has many variables, what may have worked 9 months ago won't necessarily work now. A low percentage doesn't mean better necessarily, here's the correct link to use: https://support.netduma.com/frequently-asked-questions/legacyfaqs/test-your-ping/

What changes have you made specifically? I've given you Early Access so you can try that firmware and see if it is any better for you https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/

Put Ping Assist at 0 otherwise you can get games higher than that and outside your radius too. Follow this guide https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping while downloading & start with 95% for Congestion Control (set to Always), check results, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good & then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values. This will be more of a real world test.

Your QoS percentages are really low, I don't think you need to have them that low down. Traffic Priority on every device basically means you have traffic priority on no device, you've made them all equal. Just prioritize your game rather than everything. Do you mean you've set Ping Assist for the Geo-Filter? If you could provide some screenshots of the QoS and Geo-Filter pages I can take a look

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Correct This is the 3.3 firmware so if you're already on it you wouldn't need to do anything. Yes it would revert it - you can disable auto update in Settings > Administration > Firmware update Are you referring to the official update? If so there is nothing blocking it on our side -
Have you double checked the WAN IP of the XR is still the same as the IP you've set in the ISP modem router? If it's specifically just the one game then it's very likely on the game side. What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup QoS? How have you setup the Geo-Filter?
-
Added - yes you can downgrade at any time
-
Does the ping fluctuate or is it quite stable? Move your home location/radius to cover the server you want to play on but excluding all others, restart the game then search. What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup QoS? How is the Xbox connected, via ethernet or WiFi?

There is likely more than one server responsible in the same location, you may need to allow a few of them but as mentioned, you will have an Open NAT - the latency showing is for the same reason, you're blocking the server its checking the ping to, it doesn't mean you'll have that ping to games. When you play you have a much lower ping than that right? What is the ping you're getting in game? Are you referring to Traffic Prioritization? It will appear red when prioritizing the game/when you're in the game playing that's all.
-
Your NAT will be open, the Geo-Filter is just blocking the server it uses to check the NAT status. You can check the map when this happens to see if anything is blocked then allow it or otherwise ignore it. I'm not sure what you mean by this: "I can see the server for the game I want, but the data transfer rate is low and appears red through the QoS service." can you clarify please?

Good to hear, thanks for the confirmation! Not cheeky but also the updates can come at any time so I may know at the same time as you or you'd notice the behavior has changed, I will try though. No worries, thank you!

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I've given you Early Access, try the firmware there and see if it works please https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/ -
Do a factory reset, it's a big jump in firmware so would be best. Ping Optimizer/Speed Test we're aware they're not 100% accurate currently, best to adjust manually for the moment. If you're still getting the slow WiFi then adjust the channels/widths manually, if you still get the disconnects then provide the log when it happens please.
-
Won't be NAT then - assuming it's showing Open NAT for you, how did you disable the Geo-Filter exactly?

Netduma R2 Keeps Factory Resetting on its Own
Netduma Fraser replied to schmizzbeats's topic in Netduma R2 Support
That won't be it, if you could download the log from the log panel next time that would be better -
Seems like potentially a big block of IPs from that location have been divided up and sold to other places across the world, might just be easier for us to check servers in this location - thanks!

Netduma R2 Keeps Factory Resetting on its Own
Netduma Fraser replied to schmizzbeats's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Could you grab the log when it next happens please if possible? -
IPs can be sold from country to country etc so an IP that was once local to you could end up changing to being an IP across the world. There are just under 4 BILLION public IPv4 addresses, keeping tracking of all of those is near on impossible or would at least take a ridiculous amount of resources. Not suggesting we have a 4 billion address database ourselves, just highlighting the inherent issue with keeping IPs 100% accurate. The games change their server IPs from time to time and when that happens, if it's not already an IP we have previously changed to be in the correct location it can show the previous IP location. That's how a server showing in the US can appear even though it's in Europe. If no one reports a mislocated IP/ID then we don't know it needs to be changed.
-
No worries, we should be able to determine a range if provided with a few and then blanket change them
-
Any you come across just throw the ID over and we can sort them
-
This one is a Google server in Switzerland so definitely mislocated, we can correct that
