We've been working on two new significant features, that is why there hasn't been a firmware update for awhile but it will be worth it
-
No, start 1024 - end 65535

Okay that looks fine - it is a beta but it's been out quite a while now, it's fairly stable -
Excellent, you're very welcome! I'd opt for speedtest.net - there are so many servers available that it is going to be testing the very closest server to you

Can someone translate the logs to determine what happened?
Netduma Fraser replied to banjo22's topic in Netduma R3 Support
No not specifically, all I could see was LAN port 4 went down for no specific reason and then devices renewed their IPs. The latter may have caused the former. In which case my suggestion will resolve the issue. Why do you need to factory reset so often? -
Okay good to hear. You can have reservations but you're reserving ALL ports/protocols which is then covering speed tests/general browsing etc. Switch 1 to 1024 instead, then see if it still throttles correctly, if so that's great, you'll get expected speeds/Congestion Control working correctly and it will reserve bandwidth for gaming.

Go to Settings > DHCP > Add Rule > Select Device > Save & repeat for each device. Also in DHCP settings set the lease to 10,000. Make those changes, reboot the router from the interface and see if it happens again -
Once you initiate it on the device you'll have a couple of minutes to do it on the router, it may take a few tries to get it, let us know if not

Thanks for these, I've asked the team to reset it and put out another cloud update
-
What devices are you specifically trying to connect to 5GHz with? If you make a guest network for 5GHz can they connect to that?

Can you provide another screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please? I would also suggest you upgrade to the beta firmware so you get the latest cloud updates: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51611-new-xr500-beta-firmware-33535 -
Geo filter not working in overwatch and apex legends
Netduma Fraser replied to zandar37's topic in Netduma R3 Support
What do you mean by can't recognize it exactly? Thanks for the report, we'll need to re-test it and make a cloud update - if you can provide the IDs (IPs that have been converted into a code so end user doesn't see the IP) then we can update it more quickly -
Thanks for that, can you remove your bandwidth reservations please and try again
-
@oRaGaMi do resync the cloud just in case, they should have been sorted but otherwise please do provide the IDs

Battlefield 6 Beta Game mode (boost, QOS) not working
Netduma Fraser replied to Redflame's topic in EE WiFi Enhancer support
No worries! Is the ping to that US server actually lower so it should be an EU server? If so, if you could provide the ID for it we can correct it. Both really should be sorted, I'm just not sure when EE will allow for the update to go through -
Do this and see if it is better please, upgrade to https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51611-new-xr500-beta-firmware-33535/ and once done on the firmware update page disable auto updates
-
Can you explain what your actual issue is please?
-
The XR1000 has better hardware overall than the R3 so that's likely why but could you be more specific, what is the issue you're having exactly?
-
If it appears it might be very quick and then disappear, if not we'll have to get the team to look into it further and do a cloud update if necessary but what router are you using and what firmware version are you on? We did do an update so similar to the above what firmware version are you on? If you're not on the beta then you should both benefit by being on that version as it will have the latest cloud. https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51611-new-xr500-beta-firmware-33535/ If you thought you were on it, it's possible it has auto updated so if you upgrade back then on the firmware update page you can disable auto updates
-
You wouldn't necessarily have to reduce it that much, in fact its more likely that you wouldn't, bufferbloat occurs when the network is saturated (that can't happen with Congestion Control active anyway) and 1Gbps is harder to saturate, unless you're doing a download. It doesn't really make any sense, what other settings have you changed from default? I see you've reserved bandwidth there for example. What is your exact physical setup? Is your device connected directly to the R3, i.e. not connected through an AP, extender etc? Could you provide a Stats For Nerds (SmartBOOST Settings) screenshot and position it so I can see anything active in manual allocations & auto allocations and the top activity in unprioritized/best effort please while you have auto enabled and while doing a speedtest. Could you provide a screenshot of your Device Manager page please with the PC that you're using to test shown What firmware version are you on?

How many servers are you covering? Do you see anything blocked on the map when that happens? -
When it kicks you back to the menu are you noticing anything blocked outside your radius? Someone else mentioned this as well and that might be the way it works as in they only try to connect you to the server when it loads up in which case that's the only point at which we can block it
