Speeds decline over time, requiring multiple daily restarts.
Netduma Fraser replied to Spazz's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Sorry for the late reply on this, there will be a new version on Monday with some improvements to speeds so when available try that and let us know if it works better -
I've given you Early Access, try the firmware there instead: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/

I can't see anything there particularly myself but I'll pass it along to the devs so they can take a closer look

That's not something we could advise on, you'd need to research that
-
No, once you've stopped playing a game Traffic Prioritization will no longer work with QoS disabled
-
Okay so what was the exact issue you were experiencing at this time?

There will be a new version on Monday you can try with improvements to this feature

Not sure what you mean about the app, that's just a way to access the interface. Upgrade to the firmware here and see if it is better https://forum.netduma.com/topic/55183-early-access-firmware-r3-dumaos-40179/?do=getNewComment

Upgrade to Early Access and see if it is more consistent, if not there will be a new firmware there on Monday which will have improvements to this feature

The team will not be looking into the subnet change disconnecting you as they do not believe this is an issue, changing network settings such as this would cause devices to reconnect and changing the subnet wouldn't have an impact on gaming. Over the years I've seen many people change settings that make absolutely no sense and they say it gives them a better experience and that's great, whatever works for them but we can't investigate every single one of those instances. I respect that it works for you and you want to bring that to our attention, I do appreciate it, however it won't be looked into further. Just to give you an idea, I've been doing this for 10 years and I've never had anyone report this across any of the DumaOS platforms, if it had wide implications people will have found it by now I can assure you.

Where does it say that on the website? As I've not seen any specific games mentioned there Taking control of your PC wouldn't do anything, the only thing that'll work in the short term is to wait for the firmware on Monday which does have some improvements specific to that feature and then see if it is more consistent. If it continues the team can look into it further. For the Geo-Filter: Disable GeoLatency Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) Enable Strict Mode Disable Fast Search Use Simple instead of Custom radius Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then to only get you games within the radius.

They will continue to prioritize until the connection to the game has been severed i.e. you've stopped completely for a few minutes, it'll then turn off and stay off
-
You install it on the router itself, it has install instructions on the firmware post
-
If it's a pure modem then it won't have any changeable settings on it anyway so I wouldn't suggest going through all the trouble to make it work
-
Is the new firmware not out yet?
Netduma Fraser replied to spacialrend's topic in Netduma R3 Support
We'll be putting out another build probably on Monday which will be a release candidate but it depends on how well that's received. I've also added you to try the firmware if you want Added -

Is it a pure modem or does it have WiFi? I can't quite tell, does 192.168.2.1 work?

We've been posting firmware in Early Access for a little while, I've given you access: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/

You don't need to do that at all, just type in the modem LAN IP address into your web browser when connected to the R3 and it'll work
