Networking regarding the router and Xbox.
Netduma Fraser replied to rjaaayyy's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Great to hear that, thanks for the update! -
Unfortunately when you're further away from servers it will be harder to get good games and it will definitely be impacted by the time of day, I suspect during peak times it'll be much easier to get the servers you want. As it gets closer to the next CoD release as well I think it'll get easier as more people return. Keep at it and of course more updates will come that can hopefully help further.

If you keep the filter disabled for a few games do you ever get put in the US or does it always put you somewhere in Europe? -
XR1000 not working after update

I wouldn't recommend staying on such an old firmware, you'll be missing out on security updates -
Presumably then your ethernet card is capable of higher than 1Gbps so it will be a newer card so doesn't make much sense, I think it'll just be the maximum you can achieve through the router, I couldn't confidently say that a new one would give you any better results - you could try disabling the port scan/dos protection, that on occasion can raise the speeds. Other than that we do have the beta update upcoming but I don't have a date for that so you could miss your return/refund window waiting for it.

R2 Wifi and ethernet keeps dropping internet.
Netduma Fraser replied to KernowRed's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Fair enough, thanks for the update, I wish you well! -
Yes once you've rebooted the logs are useless, they won't have anything pre-reboot. Did you have internet still when it happened?

Likely they're both mislocated on the map, if you provide their IDs and tell us where they're appearing we can move them if needed -
XR1000 not working after update

Just change the speeds manually for the moment, I believe the hardcoded server used for the test isn't currently working -
We don't give out any ETAs but it will take some time as it requires dev input but it may not even be possible. They're essentially a VPN that's why it works for them, different to a Geo-Filter.

You can either delete the device from the Geo-Filter but you won't be able to see servers, or click on the device and toggle disable filtering which will allow you to see servers and ping but without filtering

Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes before accessing and see if it works then please. -
No worries, we'll work on that!
-
Yes that is important, does it work then?
-
Do you get it with the Geo-Filter disabled? XDefiant may not be able to be supported by the Geo-Filter.
