XR1000 | QoS Does not work
Netduma Fraser replied to Burtchnasty's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That'll be due to PPPoE unfortunately and I think that'll be fixed in the next version. In the meantime if you want to use QoS you'll have to have the ISP modem/router handle PPPoE instead of the XR. -
As above it's available to be selected on the Geo-Filter, we're working on getting it added to Ping Heatmap currently, shouldn't be long

As mentioned above, NAT Type 2 is open but means you're behind a router. NAT Type 1 is also open but means you're behind a modem. It is not possible to get a NAT Type 1 through the R3 therefore and also would make 0 difference to gameplay quality.

Geo-Filter Not Working
Netduma Fraser replied to ElijahLund's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Remove the device from the Geo-Filter first, then go to the Device Manager, click on your device then change the device type to a PS etc then go back to the Geo-Filter and add the PC with the manual option. Also the way Fortnite works, you will only see a server being blocked on the map when you're actually loading into the pre-game lobby once matchmaking has succeeded. -
Are you actually able to access the R2 interface? If so, if you check the Device Manager table view, do the LAN ports show connected when you connect the console to them?

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Is that the LAN IP you've changed it to? Does routerlogin.net work? -
The Ping Optimizer servers may not always be available and so can fail sometimes, we're rewriting the feature as well currently. So would recommend changing Congestion Control manually for the moment. However, I've given you Early Access so you can see if it is more consistent on that firmware: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/

Steady Ping for faceit - Counter-Strike 2
Netduma Fraser replied to Petruz's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
It's not necessarily a thing we can add - do you see it working for normal CS2? Have you ever seen it work for Faceit servers? -
What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What speeds do you pay for/expect and what are you receiving? Where are you testing the speeds?
-
I mean at least in the screenshot above you won't be able to connect to anything. To force a server you wouldn't use Ping Assist, you'd have that on 0 and then just the radius over the server you want to connect to.

Is the new firmware not out yet?
Netduma Fraser replied to spacialrend's topic in Netduma R3 Support
You already have access: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/ -
Speeds decline over time, requiring multiple daily restarts.
Netduma Fraser replied to Spazz's topic in Netduma R3 Support
In the Early Access sub forum - do you mean the RGB? -
I suspect that could be due to the console taking the ports needed - if you turn on the PC first does it then show Open?

XR500 Latest Firmware Doubts
Netduma Fraser replied to CrAzY_V3t3rAn's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
The fact you're getting timeouts after the first response indicates there is more than one hop which could indicate you do have a CG-NAT. If this is the case the only solutions are: Secure a static public IP from your ISP - this is something that they would usually charge for Change ISP to one that doesn't use CG-NAT -
Based on the Ping Heatmap pings and your forum profile it looks like you're in Bangladesh not in the EU and so you're probably hitting a ping limit - the game isn't going to want to connect you to servers you're going to have a minimum 200 ping to. We also can't guarantee you'd be able to force servers that far away from you.

XR500 Latest Firmware Doubts
Netduma Fraser replied to CrAzY_V3t3rAn's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Have you ever had an Open NAT with the internet provider you're on currently? It sounds like you're on a CG-NAT which there is a test for at the bottom of this article https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000076587-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-open-nat -
Thanks for that, I'll pass it on, factory reset or do what is needed to gain access then get on the one we posted today and see if that is better.

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
Do keep us posted, you could also disable filtering which would allow you to still see servers/where you connect to which will give you an idea of if you're able to connect normally
