Yes that's correct, keep us posted!

Have you seen whether you get the same issue on the DumaOS 4 beta?
-
Is it only on the speedtest you notice the latency or does it appear elsewhere also? If you do a PingPlotter test for example do you see the same?
-
It's very difficult to say, after a reboot any devices that had active traffic presumably wouldn't so wouldn't be taking up any bandwidth. When the line appears to be unstable, are the speeds reduced? What is the latency like exactly? If you look at the network monitor when its unstable is there a lot of bandwidth being used?

Gameplay and Ping Issues with EA FC 25

Presumably you'd want to set Steady Ping to somewhere in between it being off/on so +5ms above your normal ping so set to 23/24ms something like that and try it. Not Ping Optimizer, go to Ping Optimizer > Advanced, how is Congestion Control setup there? -

Bridge or having the R3 in its DMZ would be best yes. Congestion Control is what Ping Optimizer sets, you can adjust it manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced, how is it set? How have you setup SmartBOOST? -

Do you get the same issue if you disable the Geo-Filter? -
Lost frames/packet loss could be helped by utilizing QoS (Congestion Control & Traffic Prioritization) so I would highly recommend utilizing those features and experimenting to find what works best for you. A disconnect isn't the same as packet loss so if it's a disconnect and not packet loss then thats more significant. Please grab the logs from the System Information page when you next disconnect please. For extra information: https://support.netduma.com/docs/dumaos-3/

Gameplay and Ping Issues with EA FC 25

Game servers don't always respond to pings, so that's why it won't always be able to ping the server - there is nothing you can do about it. Steady Ping adds a delay to your game ping so you have a consistent ping, for simple it only adds about 8ms on average. Switch to expert and adjust it manually to find the value that works best for you. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi? -
Good to hear, thanks for the update!

It's nothing to do with being new or used, it needs to free up memory for the upgrade, a reboot should have done it but if not it'll have to be a reset.
-
In that case you'll need to factory reset and then try updating as soon as possible

@Reykc9510 you definitely have access, what happens when you click on it? Here is a direct link https://forum.netduma.com/topic/58424-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-40645/

It's pinned to the very top of that sub forum
-
You already have it, go here: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/
-
Most likely what is happening is it can't ping the server properly - the game servers block pings - in that instance it falls back to the trace method and will show the last ping response, I suspect if you click on it for more details it will show you the ping method as traced. There isn't much you can do about it unfortunately.
-
You mentioned wanting an update and that is the latest we have, it's always worth a try. It is an Early Access firmware so yes there can be problems, if you have the same issue you can stay on it or downgrade, no harm done.
-
Looks like you were able to get a game above on a mislocated server that did provide a low ping. Try disabling Geo-Latency so it just searches within your radius then reboot the game. I've given you Early Access so you can try the firmware there to see if it helps: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/

If you followed the steps correctly for PingPlotter and got the best percentages for Congestion Control then you can rule out lag coming from your side. In which case the spike in the game ping would be on the game side, or on your ISP side but basically outside your control at that point

Click the 3 dots icon top right on the SmartBOOST page Click Favorites Primary Profile Click the icon top right of that panel As in you've got Congestion Control down that low or you've actually put your speeds down? Downloads more commonly cause lag compared to uploads
