BLACK OPS 6 BETA + NEW WARZONE AND FULL GAME RELEASE
Netduma Fraser replied to iOrcus's topic in Call of Duty Support
Thanks for the report, we'll take a look at it and hopefully get a cloud update out during the beta period. -
Please add DDNS to R3

That's fair enough, all I can do on my side is pass it on so I couldn't give you a clear indication of when/if it would be implemented. Yes I believe it does have that function but keep in mind none of the XR range will receive DumaOS 4 or any real feature/major updates anymore. -
Potentially yes but try disabling the protection options in settings, as a test also try an allow all internet rule and if that doesn't help putting it in the DMZ just briefly to test. If you can't get any higher speeds then it'll definitely be the setup.

Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works. -
Yeah so ideally it'd be modem/router in modem/bridge mode direct to the R3, then everything else behind to ensure nothing can take bandwidth away from the router, I realize with your setup that wouldn't be practical. What speeds do you have set on the router? Is Congestion Control active?
-
Are you saying there is nothing else connected to the 12 port or router/modem for example?

R3 seemingly not helping with bufferbloat

Do PingPlotter as described above as it'll be a better test -
Ideally you'd want all devices connected behind the R3 and nothing connected upstream that could pull bandwidth away from it. The in built tests can be a little off, what do you see on speedtest.net?

Is that using PingPlotter or just the waveform test? -

Use the router as you normally would for the game, we'll test it and put out any necessary updates hopefully within the course of the beta. -
R3 seemingly not helping with bufferbloat
Netduma Fraser replied to Mach3r's topic in Netduma R3 Support
So it doesn't provide any WiFi then? If not that makes sense, if it does that is quite confusing. Assuming it is just a pure modem, I'd suggest testing with downloads while following: https://bit.ly/bufferbloat-test start with a high value e.g 95%, test, decrease 10%, test, decrease 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good, then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Important to note that Download/Upload on CC don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values. This is more of a real world test as you're actually doing traffic you would normally do. -
Is the netduma r3 compatible with fiber optic internet?
Netduma Fraser replied to oiggemini's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I'm sorry to say that it absolutely is not the same thing as bridge mode, all he did was disable the WiFi, it does not do anything to help the NAT situation which setting to an actual bridge mode would and that's why you're having the same issue. From a little google it appears you may be able to access the Nokia user interface via https://www.webgui.nokiawifi.com/ using the credentials that should be printed on the sticker on the underside of the beacon. If you get in then you should be able to find bridge mode or at least the DMZ option. Click 'Speed Test' at the bottom of the left menu, then click Advanced on the window that appears and you can change it there. Putting the correct speeds here will help devices reach expected speeds. Ideally you need to have the beacon setup to pass all traffic unimpeded to the R3 which will help with the speeds. I have a feeling the technician has no idea what they're on about. -
If this happens, first check the IP on the PC itself, then check the Device Manager for the device you think it is, do the IPs match? If they do match then do the same process as before: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client

Can you provide an uncropped screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing what you see when this happens please?

Please add DDNS to R3
Netduma Fraser replied to FLAK's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
I'll add it to the list to be potentially added in future - it's primarily a gaming router so some standard features in other routers may not be implemented for the simple reason that it's unlikely many of our customer base would use it. -
That would be a great help thanks! If you could just PM me then I can pass it on

Looks like it can't be access but I'm sure I saw that it provides WiFi, is that correct? -
BRING BACK SHARING BANDWIDTH TURN OFF OPTION PLEASE!
Netduma Fraser replied to iOrcus's topic in Netduma R3 Support
You want the bandwidth sharing excess feature so every device gets only what you allocate. That's worked for you with the issue you had previously but what I'm saying is Congestion Control by design eliminates the issue where lots of devices are being used and cause each other to lag, buffer etc so if we get that fine tuned it can resolve your issue and we can potentially look at adding the share excess disabled feature at a later date. -
The idea of Steady Ping is that it adds ping to absorb any spikes/jitter so you get one consistent ping and are more in sync with the server

NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It will depend on the captures and what we find in them, it may be for some games that the patterns are the same in the pre-game lobby as when you're in the game and others it may be different, in the cases where it will be different it will only prioritize when you're actually playing which is ideal really, no need to prioritize the lobby.
