New Firmware put R3 OS4 into Boot Loop
Netduma Fraser replied to the kappa convict's topic in Netduma R3 Support
We've just implemented some VLAN fixes for the new firmware in Early Access if you can give it a try and let us know if the issue still happens -
Bufferbloat HELP! - XR500
Netduma Fraser replied to Wintercabin's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
What do you mean? Bufferbloat is caused by a saturated network, the only way to prevent that is to not saturate it or use QoS, the router operating system wouldn't make a difference. If you also flashed the router to OpenWRT you likely won't be able to make it back to DumaOS.- 25 replies

It is an issue we know about but don't worry it's not affecting your ability to prioritize or filter at all

Play consistently that way for a few days just to check it's not a coincedence -
Random disconnects with new firmware

Thanks, we're going to plug a switch in and see if we can reproduce it! -
Pretty good explanation above!

Try with the simple mode instead of polygon, does it work as expected then?

OSRS Ping Optimization
Netduma Fraser replied to InternetIsNice's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Based on what you've mentioned, the time of day is significant, if it's fine and stable during the morning then the router can't be having an issue/be incorrectly setup - the issue you're seeing is peak time congestion I suspect, either on the game side or more likely from your ISP side. This usually occurs when there are a lot of people in your area all using the internet at once and more often using the same ISP - there isn't much you can do about it other than potentially change to an ISP that is less popular. -
Bufferbloat HELP! - XR500
Netduma Fraser replied to Wintercabin's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You'll need to have QoS on to optimize that, experiment with the Congestion Control percentages while set to Always and you should be able to get it down- 25 replies

Yeah it's looking like an auth error so just double check the username/password are correct and try again. I don't know if it's the case here but sometimes providers give you a user/pass specifically for connecting to the VPN, independent from the details used to login on their site.

Disable GeoLatency Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) Enable Strict Mode Disable Fast Search Use Simple instead of Custom radius Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.

XR1000 BETA NEWS?
Netduma Fraser replied to DARKNESS's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Yeah it wasn't 3.3 annoyingly, we've got our CEO to chase them on this so hopefully it'll be released sooner rather than later. -

[Netduma R1 and R2] not working at all
Netduma Fraser replied to glaglaman's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Okay keep us posted! -
Yes I think that is likely the reason, it's purpose is to connect to VPN providers rather than a local VPN and so we haven't tested that functionality from what I am aware
-
Good to hear that was the cause, thanks for the update and posting the solution!

Strange Disconnects Cutting Off Internet Access

I don't no, I'm not a dev so I don't get told the technicals of individual fixes, might be worth doing what @Achilles is doing and seeing what the results are: -

XR1000 bufferbloat spikes.
Netduma Fraser replied to sam_2991's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It's not a risk, you're not forwarding any ports, just prioritizing them. The origin port could be anything but likely to be the same as the port mentioned -
You have to access it via this URL http://192.168.77.1/dumaweb/#smartqos

Yeah that's what I meant, we'll be testing it for compatibility when available
