R3 Best settings for call of duty bo6 on pc?
Netduma Fraser replied to fletcherjames1's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Glad to hear they're having a good experience, if we're not given the opportunity to help we can't unfortunately. It's a router that requires fine tuning and experimentation to find what works best, it may require a bit more effort but the pay off will be better. -
XBOX Disconnecting in middle of games
Netduma Fraser replied to nowngamer's topic in Netduma R3 Support
In this case the IP address for your Xbox renewed itself, set a static/reserved IP for the Xbox in Settings and that should prevent it happening again in future -
Make sure to upgrade to the recent update we put out on Friday and then resync the cloud and check it again please. I'm not sure if we've determined whether the game can be filtered or not yet

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290

There are no specific recommendations for ranges of jitter/ping, as it all depends on actually what your connection is capable of/how stable your line is and the connection to the server as well as the server stability. If you have devices connected to an upstream router then I would definitely suggest having everything connected to the R3 as the R3 can't effectively control the network otherwise

Sorry to hear you're having that experience, I'd suggest making a new topic and we can help you there -
Grab the logs when it next happens please and we can take a look

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That won't have been official advice and should not have been done as it may not be possible to come back to XR500 firmware. The best thing you can try would be upgrading via TFTP https://forum.netduma.com/topic/54949-dumaos-is-not-running/?do=findComment&comment=407569 -
Do a factory reset on this version then check again please. If it continues provide another log please

You must be the only one that has been able to downgrade normally, we were able to reproduce it easily but that was the bug that caused us to remove it for the moment. The team are looking into it and once they can resolve that they'll release it again. We're fixing some issues with our cloud system that makes updating things like that more difficult than it needs to be currently, that's why it's a bit slower in some cases to get cloud updates out for specific games. This isn't helped by routers running different versions of QoS. I'll bring it up to the colleague who'd take care of it so he can get that sorted when it's easier to do so. Added, though the firmware has been removed temporarily but you'll be in the right place when a new one is available.

Give the new update in early access we posted yesterday a try please, hopefully that will prevent it happening again -
NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
In the first post if you scroll down you'll see the link for the RC14 firmware which is what you want - it will appear as .134 after you've done it but if you used the public .134 version you won't be on it -
The only option available is entering an address so if that's the only way it is working then that will be the only way

WiFi blocking RCS messaging on IPhone
Netduma Fraser replied to Kujo's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Well done on finding a solution and thanks for sharing! Good question but in this case you're not bridging anything, you're just setting up the device in its own virtual LAN which can actually be more secure. -

Tweaks to the Ping Heat Map
Netduma Fraser replied to PharmDawgg's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
For the first one no I don't think that's possible, it's server side so we can't see that and we're just running a simple ping or trace to the server so we only have basic information. Jitter/Packet loss/Stability yes most likely we could do that. Matchmaking/peer quality are you referring to establishing the quality of everyone else in the game with you? If so as it's server based the router can only see the server not any peers -
No there isn't an option for that, I can add it to the request list but I can't guarantee when/if it may be added
-
Oh I thought you were using that already as you have early access, yes I would suggest doing so, we just posted a new firmware there yesterday as well
