It's very likely due to the number of people then, I think it will just be the nature of the beast with that many sharing a line in. The router may well help but I couldn't guarantee it, let us know how you get on when it arrives.

Hit Detection is inconsistent in Black Ops 6 Warzone
Netduma Fraser replied to BigCowboyTv's topic in Netduma R3 Support
How have you setup SmartBOOST exactly? Are you forcing the closest servers with the Geo-Filter? Does the Geo-Filter ping read the same as in game? Have you tried forcing servers slightly further away even if they have a slightly higher ping to see if they provide better results? Do keep in mind there are many variables when it comes to networking, so there won't be one set of settings on the router that ensure you get great hit detection 100% of the time. -
Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works.

It should just have a bridge/modem mode that you enable on the Tim and then you can enter the PPPoE details into the R3. Then reboot the tim, wait 2 minutes, reboot the R3 wait 4 minutes and check if you have internet

You can find it in Ping Optimizer > Advanced but if you have fully disabled SmartBOOST you wouldn't be able to change it anyway. As fully disabled so the page looks like this?
-
How do you have Congestion Control set? If it's 100% then disable SmartBOOST fully from the menu so it shows on the page that it is disabled, what do you get then?

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I think if you make a change and give it at least 10-30 seconds it should save by the time you next go to view it. By many settings at once give me an estimate, 10 settings in 20 seconds for example? That makes sense because your PC will shift to prioritizing the web browser for CPU/RAM usage and then back again for example, especially given that you're viewing a live page - I have the same issue but that's why I use OperaGX to limit the CPU/RAM usage when I play a game and then it's all good. Ideally you wouldn't have the web browser open at all when playing as even at idle it will take resources. I'd be surprised if that was a specific network issue. We're aware of Ping Optimizer not running 100% reliably at the moment and looking into it. In the meantime change the Congestion Control percentages manually. You can find the public firmware versions here: https://support.netduma.com/firmwares/netduma-r3/ -
Okay no worries. If you haven't done a factory reset on this latest firmware then I would highly recommend it, it's a big jump from the previous version, that then may help with the WiFi. If you have already then a reboot, close the interface, wait 4 minutes then access should get you in

"DumaOS is not running!"

You have to hold that button for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes and then access and go through the setup wizard. If you just hold the button briefly it will just reboot. -

Why did you turn them off for a day out of interest? Did you factory reset after upgrading as that is generally recommended to clear out issues that could be caused by remnants of the previous version -
What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? How is the PS5 connected, via ethernet or WiFi? When you initiate the download is the CPU on the router maxed out the entire time/when the disconnect occurs? Does the issue happen if you haven't downloaded on the PS5 that day for example?

If you're in a dense urban area for example where there are lots of people it could happen regardless of the ISP you choose. Caused by an oversubscription of people in your area on the particular ISP. In times where everyone is online e.g. during peak hours where people have come home from school/work the connection would be worse, in non peak times it should be better. Your paid for speed may also fluctuate during those peak hours. That's a good indicator of whether you're being affected by this. Do you see a change in latency in the game when playing? Are more people in your household using devices when this occurs? You can use the features the router offers for the game but there isn't a specific setting that would apply to that game and no other, you won't get that on any router really.

Your ISP modem/router depending on what it is (if it is a pure modem i.e. has no WiFi then this can be ignored, you would just connect the R3, enter PPPoE and that's it) but it will likely have a mode called bridge mode which will essentially disable most of the modem functions and pass all traffic through to the R3

If you click go to recovery options there and choose one of the options are you able to access after? If you could also grab the logs from there as well please as this shouldn't be happening much on the latest firmware
-
That's very hard to say based on the information presented. If you're saying it's better during certain times of the day then that could be due to ISP congestion which isn't something the router could resolve. There is a 30 day return policy for any reason so you could try it and see what you think.

AUDIO IMPROVED AFTER OPTIMIZING CONNECTION
Netduma Fraser replied to Greg_lino's topic in Call of Duty Support
Yeah I really wouldn't suggest doing this, huge security problem, your PC is basically completely open/visible to the internet. People/bots scan the internet frequently looking for open networks they can exploit, if you want to risk your data and whatever else for better audio in the game then you're braver than me. I would highly suggest port forwarding instead. -
