NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
On the System Information page go to the Rapp panel, click the 3 lines option menu and change the retries to 5, reboot the router from the interface, wait 4 minutes then access and see if it loads please -
Okay great, do keep us posted, fingers crossed!

No worries, we don't do that kind of support but you have quite a few denied servers there, you may have inadvertantly denied a required server for matchmaking so if you could delete all those please. Also if you're going to make changes, also completely exit the Xbox app, including from the system tray, otherwise it may keep connections alive. Once you've done all that please see if it works better then.

I've responded to you via email, if you have any other queries/concerns about it please do reply to that email and we can continue there.

Strict NAT Type in Warzone / COD since a short while
Netduma Fraser replied to Yellan's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Okay that makes sense if they actually allow you to open ports for the VPN, cool feature! It is worth keeping in mind that CoD are taking steps to counteract VPNs, this is likely more of a concern if you're using servers far away so you may not be affected, just something to be aware of. -

Sounds connected now yes, really only a few scenarios: How you setup the VPN (the rules for HVPN) weren't setup in a way that the VPN was covering everything properly or covering specific ports that excluded the NAT testing ports The VPN itself is quite open with ports that would allow you an open NAT. This is more unlikely given people use VPNs to be more secure so them being more free with ports isn't in line with being secure Perhaps its a gaming VPN where security isn't really a focus so they can be more free with ports -

The bank will see that we're working with you to come to a solution, you're trying to threaten when we're actually trying to help you and have said a replacement is available if there isn't a solution. It's also too long for a refund. What is the tim model from this page? https://www.tim.it/assistenza/assistenza-tecnica/guide-manuali/download

Strict NAT Type in Warzone / COD since a short while
Netduma Fraser replied to Yellan's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Moderate is possible yes but Open generally is a no, if it's not affecting ping times and you're not using a close server then you've not applied the VPN to the entirety of the device -
I'm not saying your modem is going down, I'm saying all the logs show is that it's losing the link (the connection) to the modem, if you could provide the logs from the modem when it happens this will likely provide more information about what is happening. As I've mentioned to you via email, a customer cannot determine when they need a replacement, if we determine the issue is unfixable then we will replace it so we are working with you and a replacement is still possible. An electrician isn't relevant in this scenario.

Thank you for this, all it's indicating is that the link between it and the modem is down, when it happens again could you also get the log from the modem as well please?

You can't get an OpenNAT through a VPN generally, perhaps a specific gaming VPN might allow you to but the general rule is you don't get open when using a VPN -
Netduma behind an Eero mesh network
Netduma Fraser replied to TxFrog33's topic in Netduma R3 Support
It won't see them as online necessarily but all the features will still work. How is the Geo not working exactly? Can you provide a screenshot of the page? -

cant access xr500
Netduma Fraser replied to rjaaayyy's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I can see it, could you do another via ethernet when the same thing has happened please? Also you mentioned " i hard wired laptop to the xr500 while in bridge mode" are you referring to the ISP modem/router being in bridge mode or you've set the XR500 in AP mode? -
Enable the Geo-Filter, do the test, check the map fully zoomed out, do you notice anything being blocked? If so add it to the allow list and try the test again, if another appears then allow it, you may need to do it a few times to get all the servers, see if it works then

Great news, look forward to an update!

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Is that on this firmware version? Are you saying the router reboots itself when you click save after entering the ID or it disconnects then reconnects without it being saved? Great to hear! Correct, if the R3 can't control the whole network then it won't be as effective in that sense Yes you can do so via the DumaOS app or accessing via a web browser -
Could you add everything with a reserved IP on the R3 please so we can rule it out? It should only take a few minutes as only clicking is required

The purpose of QoS is to ensure that all your devices can be used at the same time without causing each other to lag/buffer and to place priorities on devices you choose. Giving the game more bandwidth wouldn't do anything, this is across the board, the game requires a certain amount of bandwidth and that's it, every game uses very little.
