I believe your R2 may need to be unplugged for about 10 minutes. So that every power in the R2 has depleted. Then, plug the cable back in and see if you can connect.

Some players are finding success in being able to play on servers between 30-40 ms ping. https://forum.netduma.com/topic/52300-mw3-topic-how-is-the-new-game-treating-yall-and-etc/?do=findComment&comment=382973

Activision has an official website for ports for each platform. https://support.activision.com/articles/ports-used-for-call-of-duty-games They are pretty much the same as MW2 / Warzone ports.
-
It's really simple. Once the two PS5's connect to the R2, you should see them show up in the device manager of the R2. They both may be titled "Playstation", you can then change the names of the PS5's there to know which is which. As this will be easier to understand which one is being added to the Geo-Filter, as it's as simple as clicking ADD and choosing the Playstation to the Geo-Filter. Once you have your R2, you will see how easy it is to ADD any device/console to the Geo-Filter.

MW3 Topic | How is the new game treating yall, and ETC.
TrayDay replied to ownal0t's topic in Call of Duty Support
For those interested in seeing how well they do in a non-sbmm lobby. I believe it's mainly for PS5 & PC only. Xbox doesn't have it, unfortunately. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLaMxNga1hc -

@TODDzillaInLA I remember your post about being banned from CHAT. When your mic was not even enabled for in game chatting. Your claim is being more validated as time passes, and BlameTruth just shed light into what's happening to those falling victim to the same fate as you with the MIC. MW3, looks to be even the worst due to ENHANCED Chat BOT moderator. Seems like you're going to have to NEED an external Communication APP(Discord) just to ensure you can have an M-Rated chat with the gang.

Yes, aim assist, in various games, has been prone to using the movement of YOUR character along with the movement of your opponent to kick in the aim assist. When you're moving and aiming, you get the assist, especially when your target is moving. Now, some games(not just COD) may give more or less, aim assist. But, one thing is certain, COD seem to be at the top when it comes to the amount of aim assist the player is giving. But, also as of recently, has been questionable from some patents that surface over the years. Another theory being that since the NEW WarZone is about to kick off, some things may be happening with the servers and getting them all ready for the next installment/release. But again, this is just a theory. So right now, I would say. Give factory reset another go around. Also, it doesn't hurt to disable IPv6, if you haven't already. I do know Xbox seems to be more keen to utilizing IPv6. Even if it's not directly correlated to the game. But, I do feel most of the issues may be ironed-out come November 10th.

That is correct. The Geo-Filter, will help some, but it will also need to have VPN. With Geo-Filter, you can restrict where in U.S. you want. The Geo-Filter, can also aid in being able to restrict servers when you can CHOOSE the server you want to be on and stay within' that GEO area.
-
The R2 is a router with features as you mentioned. 1. R2 is a standalone router, no subscription fee. 2. You can add your VPN of your choice. For example, if you're a NORDVPN subscriber, you can use your credentials from NordVpn and ADD them to the R2. (ExitLag, I don't believe, is added among the list) 3. Yes, you're correct. The Netduma R2, doesn't have a "DMZ" Mode, but it does have port-forwarding and you can OPEN the desired ports. Having YOUR OWN modem does alleviate any headaches you may have when it comes to having any more of a direct connection. Yes, if you're willing to spend just a little bit, then buying your own MODEM would be best. But, you're in the EU. The modem recommendation would be slightly different from the U.S. Someone would have to chime in there.
-
I say it's worth it. Your connection can still suffer from bufferbloat and should help with those packet loss problems. Each device in your household is fighting for bandwidth or the internet, and that's what causes issues when gaming. Also, the R2 gets updates a little ahead of other's as it's the latest from the "R" family. Here's a thread I did for T-Mobile 5G Home Internet. https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51378-5g-home-internet-is-possible/

Yet, again, Jev is reporting what we already know. He mentions himself having 5ms ping and lag compensation. Nonetheless, the game feels good. I genuinely enjoyed what I'm seeing. Also, seeing that they may report on and/or tweak reduce on SBMM due to changes within' Activision, is looking promising.
-
I love how Jev is playing MW3 BETA on PS5, and he CONFIRMS the delay I have referenced. https://youtu.be/vhKzHoL3eAA?si=QhrRs-eQXr9qTVsM&t=302

Yeah, I know about KB&M players on console. Known for years, they're not an issue for me, personally. But, I do find there are times when, they will have an advantage. My ONLY gripe with PC vs Console IS the HARDWARE aspect and access to using legit hacking tools. I just can't get with that type of sportsmanship in gaming. The moment I took a little time away from PS5 and played strictly, PC, I witnessed first hand the benefits of using a PC with even a mid-tier rig can do. It's apparent that consoles are dealing with massive amounts of Input Lag, when you come from a PC environment. Some games actually allow in their game engines to Disable VSync, and this helps quite a bit. But, the majority of Console games, deals with input lag. Console players get 'used' to this input lag and don't even know what it is. But, the moment you go console, PC, console. You will notice it. This is why I always feel console will still be at somewhat of a disadvantage when it comes to console vs PC. 120FPS, help mitigate this a little and should be a STANDARD for ALL FPS games going forward if crossplay is going to be a thing, which it is here to stay. Back to the KB&M, users are console. I respect those that actually admits that they use them. I've heard various reasons as to why, but it all narrows down between comfort and slight advantage. So, yeah, these companies that shout, INPUT DEVICE, as a means of matchmaking are indeed lies. Everyone is going to be paired regardless of what device you're on due to having a more flowing matchmaking. Since it IS designed to be EVERYONE(EVERY DEVICE) involved as default, nowadays.
-
I remember hearing about it as well, before the introduction of crossplay. I even heard one of the devs before Cold War was to release say out their OWN mouth that it was going to be primarily console vs console, but can opt in to play with PC. Here's a clip where they mention INPUT DEVICE being the sole matchmaker but if not enough players for said INPUT DEVICE, then would be put into a greater pool https://youtu.be/o4KpD6VuzEI?si=3eE6qINpriKnHn9I&t=138

Since infinite warfare, I've noticed the amount of hoops one would have to jump through with their internet connection. Just to be able to enjoy a casual gaming session. You know, do moderately well with a good amount kd ratio without the hassle of consistently getting sent to a mental asylum due to you thinking you're going crazy from your hits not registering consistently and hearing the running at you from behind with steel plated boots on and instant melee you. Only to find you heard NONE of that coming at you, even though you are not even firing your gun. My thing is this, once someone find a way to bypass the way COD manipulates your IP data and reverse engineer it back to a more consumer friendly product without pinging COD on their radar, that their tech has been reversed. That would be a massive WIN. I haven't looked into WHY using a VPN and Location Setting combats CODs algorithm. Also, WHY they don't lock it to the ACCOUNT and not the IP ONLY. Unless it's like some SOFT difficulty rating added to the account. For example, easy, normal, hard, hardcore, nightmare in how well your account is provided the amount of 'assist'. Aim assist, hit-reg notifier, surrounding audio. Now I'm just theorizing here and take this with a grain of salt. We know older FPS games had far more consistency, or we can be looking back with rose colored glasses. But, things seem to have work as intended from the 'assist' we were giving. Fast-forward to today, and it's all about monetization. I haven't played COD consistently since Infinite Warfare, but would still play a couple of games of recent titles and Warzone here and there. I mainly play Apex Legends, but, something I've noticed about this game as well that's been a problem since practically launch is the AUDIO surround. They haven't fixed it since the dawn of the game, and I've noticed a few things with it regarding certain creators when it comes to it. The same game that runs on Titanfall 1/2 engine and I played those games HEAVILY and the audio surround works practically good. So glad to see Titanfall 2 getting love again, recently. I'm saying this to say, I believe the reason EA/RESPAWN haven't fully fixed this audio is due to monetization. The same way, COD, is not 'fixing' their audio. I've noticed some users found some 'tweaks' to get the audio to 'their' liking due to third party software. The same way, someone found a legit 'fix' on Apex Legends audio, but, it too requires third party software and ONLY for PC Apex Legends. This should already be fixes in the current state of the games, but it's been left on the back burner for 'some reason'. This was a bit long-winded, but, it's something that I always found rather interesting. What one has to do, in order to have fun and enjoy a good gaming session.

You have to create static IP's for each device, so that it doesn't create another or new IP. If you click on settings in the left hand side > click on LAN > DHCP > You should see all the devices with an area to type in something for each. This is where you can give them a Static IP. Usually what's best is to give them a Static IP OUTSIDE the range (example: 192.168.77.100 - 192.168.77.225) you should see here. Give them below 100 like 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 etc. Then save. You should be good.

I hear him say that he 'knows how' to get into console lobby's with R2, and he doesn't want to show the method. As I did hear him mentioning 'changing icon'. As I stated earlier, this is possible to do in the Device Manager. BUT, it doesn't work as what he is stating regarding changing icon in COD. Now, I will also state that he mentioned crossplay not entirely disabling, when turning it off. I haven't played COD in a while now, mainly APEX LEGENDS. But, it's ALWAYS been a thing to be able to get into console lobby's with certain methods from PC. Ever since crossplay was introduced, it's been a thing to be able to get into the lobby's just by certain methods. Most recently, the game has been doing it by default(bug) and PC players has been getting into console lobby's. I bring this up, because, there's a loophole with being able to get into ALL console lobby's from PC in The Majority of crossplay games. Fortnite has made it VERY difficult for such an event and has yet to provide needed resources for other developers, given said resources to prevent such measures. I say all this to say that, the loophole that many are finding into getting into COD lobby's is not due to using a Netduma Router, but providing a few tweaks to the PC client to be able to get into the console lobby's. Now, if someone may have found a NEW method into getting into console lobby's using a Netduma, will be a MIND-BLOWN moment for me. But again, just 'changing icon' will not push you into console lobby's.

That's not true. You can set your device to be recognized for how the QOS will handle your device under 'Device Manager'. You can change the device type. If he doesn't show any proof that he's using the R2, for example, Geo-Filter. Then, they're just blowing hot air, and not showing concrete evidence in their claims. NOT TRUE

I'm looking more into your gateway selection. From research, I wonder if you're using the Puma 7 Gateway. Xfinity, like Spectrum, has both Broadcom gateways and PUMA(intel) gateways. Puma causes issues with packet loss and extreme ping spikes. Looking at some of the newer gateways/modems, Xfinity has XB6 (which older but has the broadcom) before gigabit package but is stable. The newer, XB7, has two versions. XB7-A, this one is PUMA, you're going to have issues. Normal browsing and download, non-gaming activities, this is perfect. But not for gaming. | XB7-T, this is broadcom based and this is the one for gaming. Then there's also XB8, the newest. Same situation like XB7, you have XB8-A which is PUMA(BAD) and XB8-T which is broadcom (GOOD). Another way of looking at this is the manufacturer. HITRON is PUMA, which is not good for gaming. TECHNICOLOR is Broadcom, which is good for gaming. From what I'm noticing, US-based, MAJOR (copper) ISP's deal with these as I too also deal with them with Spectrum. I finally was able to get a TECHNICOLOR modem from my ISP, but I had to call them to send me one. Because, LOCALLY, none of their stores had them and I traveled MILES on MILES trying to find a TECHNICOLOR MODEM/GATEWAY. To finally just upgrading my internet to GIGABIT, calling them and telling them I'm not getting my speeds, and they FINALLY sent me a Technicolor Modem/Gateway. I have my OWN modem, but, I have a theory regarding US-Based residential Major ISP when it comes to gaming. All this to say, if you can, get you an XB7-T or XB8-T, please do so. It will help alleviate a lot of your problems. Just to show you what I mean. THIS IS NO QOS/Congestion Control. I use Congestion Control to stabilize while gaming. But again, this is NO CC/QOS enabled. This is with the TECHNICOLOR modem/gateway from my ISP. LASTLY, Just to show you a pingplotter graph. To the left of the chart with a BROADCOM modem at 5/18/2023 12:00PM. You can see the "STRAIGHT LINE" line on the left. But, AFTER, 12:00PM when I added my PUMA modem the LINE IS GOING UP AND DOWN like a WAVE length. THIS IS BAD. (The BIG red lines are just me unplugging and replugging the modems.)
-
As many has pointed out. When it comes to Copper Cable, you're going to have variable latency. You can get it to manageable ping with QOS and setting the sliders accordingly. I have SPECTRUM, which was originally Comcast here. So my ISP is practically similar to yours, and I'm able to get it down pretty good. Waveform is a pretty decent website to use, but if you REALLY want to actually minimize any lag or bufferbloat, download pingplotter for free. Open Pingplotter and enter google.com and look at the graph below and begin to download something, and you should see the ping rise. That's when you start lowering the sliders according to where you find it doesn't spike as high. https://www.pingplotter.com/download/windows/

Adding New Games and Applications to DumaOS

Lol. Yes. That's why I tried to minimize as many applications running on the PC as possible.
