Could you clarify exactly? There's really no difference between the two, they're just a connection method

Follow this guide https://support.netduma.com/frequently-asked-questions/legacyfaqs/test-your-ping/ while downloading & start with 95% for Congestion Control (set to Always), check results, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good & then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values.

Battlefied 6 Atlanta Server not seen
Netduma Fraser replied to Tru ELiTE's topic in Netduma R3 Support
As far as I am aware it was done, have you noticed a difference? -
That's not something we can prevent if that's their matchmaking preference to get the majority into the game rather than respect the party. It's happened on other games a couple of times
-
You'll need to be on the beta firmware for it at the moment.

Enter 1000/1000 again for your speeds and fine tune from there. For DNS either put it back to the default or use 1.1.1.1 or 1.0.0.1 I've also given you Early Access to try https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/

Looks like you're testing on a console network browser is that right? I'm not sure how well that will test but what do you get when setting to 50% for example? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? Is the platform you're testing on connected via ethernet or WiFi?
-
I'll pass them on to the team to check. If it can't ping the game servers properly (which is likely as most game servers seem to reject pings now) we can't stabilize it
-
What do you mean by no response exactly, speeds weren't reduced or bufferbloat values weren't changed? Are you testing using the same bufferbloat site?

Battlefield 6 Beta Game mode (boost, QOS) not working
Netduma Fraser replied to Redflame's topic in EE WiFi Enhancer support
I'll have to check with the team to see if the cloud has been updated (of course we need to get the approval of EE first). We're aware of the Oklahoma servers and they will be resolved in that cloud update -
If you're a computer technician then you should know that escalating issues to someone more knowledgeable/with more experience is part of the job, generally telling them they're wrong when they provide the advice you've asked them for isn't the best course of action if you're wanting a solution. You'd also know this is a support forum and so only people who have issues/questions come here but that they make up a very small percentage of the customer base. Literally the same issue and the solution is the same: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/60529-i-downloaded-lastest-firmware-now-qos-doesnt-work/ Please provide screenshots of the PingPlotter results you've achieved following the advise above. Also: What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? Do you require PPPoE/VLAN/DHCP identifiers for a connection and if so is the R3 or ISP modem/router/ONT handling this? Are ALL devices connected to the R3? Is 800/800 your speeds? How have you setup SmartBOOST? How is your testing device connected, via ethernet or WiFi? What other changes have you made to router settings? What firmware version are you on?

I downloaded lastest firmware now QoS doesnt work

Good to hear, thanks for the update! -
You're posting here asking for help and yet you will not take the advice of someone who has been providing support since the company launched 11 years ago. I don't quite know how you think that you know more about the problem you're having than I do but I'm sorry to say that what I have said is correct. If I wasn't correct then everyone would have the exact same issue and they don't. Regardless, if there was an actual issue that needed a firmware update, saying fix the issue is extremely unhelpful, it provides no information about the scenario in which your issue occurred, your full settings, setup etc. If you're not going to engage with the support that you have requested I don't know how else I can help you. In order to really fine tune your Congestion Control percentages you should follow these instructions: Follow this guide https://support.netduma.com/frequently-asked-questions/legacyfaqs/test-your-ping/ while downloading & start with 95% for Congestion Control (set to Always), check results, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good & then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values.

The procedure is the same, the results will not always be the same, there are many variables when it comes to networking and so there isn't a one size fits all setting. Your Congestion Control percentages need to be adjusted, once you find the right value the results will improve. If everything was fine then it is likely something outside your control changed which has lead to you needing to change the values. If you don't saturate your connection to find the best percentages initially then you'll constantly need to adjust for a variety of reasons including but not limited to, time of day, active devices, amount of traffic etc.
-
The previous one you're not throttling as much as you are in this one which is likely why you see the difference. You'll just need to fine tune your percentages
-
Amazon will have them, as long as they have the same fitment you can get any, they don't need to be specific for the XR model
-
What do you mean it isn't working exactly? That it's not reducing your speeds? Speed Test Bypass is enabled by default, you can disable it on that screen there

Battlefield 6 Servers Not Being Filtered
Netduma Fraser replied to FurtherStill's topic in Netduma R3 Support
A cloud update should have resolved that so I'll let the team know there are still some servers there that need to be sorted -
Try over 40ms, it may seem a lot but you can still have a decent game up to 60ms I would say. There are lots of variables when it comes to networking, right down to the quality of the wiring connecting you to the exchange. Also for FC I hear the issue a lot regardless of setup so its definitely not just you
-
They certainly can if they want to do so Thanks for the IDs, I'll pass them onto the team to look into and correct
-
No it isn't risky as the router has its own firewall so no need to worry!

The previous version is here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/58012-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-40540/ You just need to fine tune Congestion Control to get better results that's all
