What is the ping/packet loss you're seeing direct to your modem and what is it through the R3? Where are you measuring this as well? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and when cascading how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3 when in cascade? Do you require PPPoE/VLAN when connecting direct to the ONT? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? What game are you playing? What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi? How have you setup the Geo-Filter?

R3 not letting all internet through to the PS5?
Netduma Fraser replied to Mac's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Why does IPv6 come disabled after a factory reset? Can't the congestion control handle IPv6? My ISP has native IPv6 and I'm curious why it remains disabled after a factory reset— is there some conflict? Note that I have a fixed (public) IPv4 address. People who didn't have IPv6 were getting issues with it enabled so found it best to disable it by default. I think those original issues are largely resolved. In this instance I believe its actually an issue with the console having trouble when switching back and forth between IPv4/IPv6, other people have found this online as well regardless of router. -
I see it's down again, I'll let them know so they can update on Monday

Just got my new netduma r3 router need some help
Netduma Fraser replied to blue water's topic in Netduma R3 Support
By design it can allow servers outside the radius but I can understand that it appears as though it isn't working. Great to hear, thanks for the update and the kind words! -
What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Is the R3 using DHCP, PPPoE or VLAN to connect to the internet? Have you had no internet through the R3 for the last two weeks or has the issue returned? Can you provide a screenshot of the WAN Settings page on the router please?

You don't need to add a game for consoles, this was the same for DumaOS 3/R2 as well assuming you had the Xbox device type set correctly. Disable Geo-Latency in the Geo-Filter settings and then it will stick to your radius. -

Put your speeds in that you pay for/receive and then adjust Congestion Control - you also have speed test bypass enabled so disable this to see the effects Congestion Control is having on the test

R3 not letting all internet through to the PS5?
Netduma Fraser replied to Mac's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Great! No it doesn't really make any difference, it makes getting an Open NAT easier but you can still get that with IPv4 -
De vez em quando acontece isso porque?
Netduma Fraser replied to Rodolfo Lima's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay good. Are you getting this at peak times or off peak times as well? You don't need to do both, one or the other is fine -

Your ethernet speeds are the exact same as the WiFi speeds you're getting? How do you have Congestion Control set? Gaming will cover it. Call of Duty won't cover the textures just the game -

Disable IPv6 in WAN & LAN on the router and then see if the issue continues please -

Okay so what speeds are you getting via ethernet? What are your WiFi Settings? -

Are those tests done over ethernet or WiFi? Go to the router WAN Settings, what does the Link Speed say? Go to the router LAN Settings, what does the Link Speed say? What are the WiFi Settings you're currently using? -

I've given you Early Access so you can upgrade to the firmware there: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/ Speed Test & Ping Optimizer use the same available servers, it should be more consistent on this version but they can fail. If so, use speedtest.net and adjust the Congestion Control percentages manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced. The game updates their servers frequently and so Ping Heatmap can become out of date. They've been getting updated a lot more frequently at the moment hence why it's not showing any values. We are aware and pushing out updates when we can. It won't affect your ability to use the Geo-Filter though so that combined with Congestion Control & SmartBOOST you should be able to get your ping lower again as long as there aren't any factors outside your control influencing it.

That's great to hear, thanks for the update! To force servers you need to do the following: It's essential the Geo-Filter is enabled before the game client (e.g. Steam etc) if on PC or platform (e.g. Xbox, PlayStation) or the game have been launched. If you change Geo-Filter settings when you're on the game then you will need to restart the game for those changes to take effect, otherwise it will use the previous Geo-Filter settings and appear not to be working. For settings ensure Ping Assist and Geo-Latency are disabled in the Geo-Filter menu that can be found by clicking ⋮ in the top right hand corner of the page and go to Settings. Strict Mode should also be enabled, it is enabled by default so if you haven't disabled it you can ignore it. If you have disabled it or want to check it can be found in the same Settings menu as above or in Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced > Developer Options depending on your firmware version. Fast Search should also be disabled which it is by default so can be ignored if you haven't changed it, otherwise this can be found in the same place. There are multiple servers in a singular location so when you've blocked a server there are still others in that location that you can connect to.
