Are you trying to download it on the router itself using the auto update? What exactly are you seeing?
-
What error are you getting exactly?
-
Good to hear you figured out the issue, thanks for posting the solution!

It could be a few things: Browser Adblocker, disable it and then it should work You're accessing the interface via HTTPS, ensure you're accessing via HTTP (some browsers redirect to HTTPS which you can disable in your browser settings)

Are ALL devices connected to the R3? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? How are you testing the speeds via speedtest.net and via WiFi or ethernet? What game are you playing? What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi? How have you setup the Geo-Filter?

Okay thanks, could you PM me the hub serial number please so we can ask EE if they have any logs for it that may provide us with more information -

Is it the Smart Hub 4 you have by the way? -

I'm speaking with a colleague about it, I know there are updates being pushed out within the last week or so they may have affected it or may help overall but I'll come back to you when I have more insight on what might be happening in your case -
So, I tried the new firmware, great—speeds are back to normal, but now I have another problem. Firmware installed, R3 reset, I can no longer manage the QoS set to 1000/300. I left everything at 100% and ran a bufferbloat test... upload jitter 112 ms. I first move it to 70% then to 55% but I always get the same values. I put everything back to 100% and tried to trick it by changing the network values: instead of 1000/300 I set 500/160... same, nothing changes. It's as if the QoS no longer works... any suggestions? Good to hear the speeds are better. Disable Speed Test Bypass and ensure you have Congestion Control set to Always, then try again and it should respond to your changes.

R3 DumaOS 4 - Achieving Open NAT for P2P Hosting (GTA Online)
Netduma Fraser replied to ifell's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay but if they can actually connect to you in the first place then it's nothing to do with NAT, otherwise they wouldn't be able to join you. The disconnects, is it you primarily disconnecting or them disconnecting from you? Can you provide the logs when it happens please? Did you also disable the Geo-Filter when you're hosting? -
Looks like the Warzone option has been removed, I'll look into it
-
Did you reboot before getting the logs at it doesn't seem to contain any information before the time you mentioned the issue occurred. If so please get the logs before a reboot when it happens again please

Not possible to get full speeds with PPPoE at the moment through the router though we'll improve it if possible. I've given you Early Access so you can try this firmware which may provide more speeds: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/60946-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-401147/ You should be able to get higher than what you're currently receiving though, did you input manually your expected speeds? How is Congestion Control (in Ping Optimizer > Advanced) currently set?

R3 DumaOS 4 - Achieving Open NAT for P2P Hosting (GTA Online)
Netduma Fraser replied to ifell's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I'll pass the request onto the team but I cannot guarantee if/when it may be implemented. Did you enable UPnP again along with your port forwards? It could be a misreading so have you actually tried to host and had issues with people connecting? -
No specific browser as long as you're not using Safari, every other browser as far as I am aware you can disable HTTPS redirects in the browser settings. Try both 192.168.1.1 / 10.0.0.1 or routerlogin.net just in case one works better than the other

R3 DumaOS 4 - Achieving Open NAT for P2P Hosting (GTA Online)
Netduma Fraser replied to ifell's topic in Netduma R3 Support
You can enable UPnP, although you're correct it would avoid conflicts by keeping it disabled its quite unlikely to happen and I've never seen it cause any issues with both enabled and it may help you in this scenario. With that and the required ports it's unlikely you would actually have a moderate NAT even if its reporting it - have you actually hosted and had issues with people joining to check if it is moderate? If people can join then you will be open. Short of putting the PC in the DMZ which is a security no-go there aren't any other settings you could adjust to get an Open NAT. Do make sure to disable the Geo-Filter though as that could cause issues with people joining. -
The URL you're using to access is what I'd like to see as it looks like you might be trying to access the dumaweb part which is the mobile part of the interface. You may also be trying to access via HTTPS which wouldn't work well with the interface. Also the browser you're using would impact it because that may force HTTPS by default which again wouldn't work well. Make sure you're connecting via HTTP/the browser you're using has forced HTTPS disabled. The update has security fixes that's it, nothing from us or NTGR, no changes to DumaOS or settings etc so it would not cause any issues itself like this.

The router doesn't have a way for you to look at what websites are being accessed at all or for a specific device and due to the way you have it setup the xfinity app will just see it coming from the R3 device, it won't be able to tell either so there is no way from what you're asking unfortunately.

As the physical setup has changed the same settings for QoS may not work as well so you'll just need to fine tune it more - don't rely on auto setup just adjust it manually - we usually suggest starting at 70% then adjust by 10% up or down (it doesn't always have to be lower) until you get to a value that's pretty good then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved further. Download & Upload also don't need to be on the same percentage, you may have different percentages where they each give the best results. It is important you have set the speeds you pay for/expect into the router though so it's using that as the basis, otherwise if you've left it with the speeds the in built speed test came back with for example then you may have them set too low and then you're then making it even lower than needed with the percentages.

Yes that all sounds correct. If the issue is caused by the bridge mode/R2 using PPPoE then yes it would resolve those issues. The R2 firewall is constantly on, there is no way for a user to disable it, you are definitely safe in that regard. No you don't need to use a VPN. The DMZ just allows all traffic to pass through to the router unimpeded which is essentially what was happening by having the draytek bridged to the R2 so you would have been relying on the R2 firewall in that scenario as well. So far so good, you may need to re-fine tune your QoS settings but it should be fine as is, just monitor it and come back if its not quite right
-
Can you provide a full screen uncropped screenshot please? That will help me determine why its happening
-
Yes switch to DHCP on the R2, you don't need to enter anything in any of the ID boxes there. The IP you need to put in the DMZ on the V hub can be found in two places, check one of these: On the R2 System Information page in the Network Status panel - it's right in the centre of the page On the V hub it would be the IP shown for it in Devices or LAN Settings. Wherever you see your connected devices on the V hub, whatever the IP that is shown for the R2 that's what you need to enter into the DMZ
-
What were the errors specifically?
-
No you don't need to enter anything there
