  1. If they don't require you to use your hub then yes you should be able to. Haha it should be fine but I can't give you a definitive answer on that
  2. When you access the interface via the browser, i.e. entering the LAN IP in the URL bar, after you've added your device to the Geo-Filter and you've gone into a game the server you're in will appear on the right. If you can connect it to that then yes that will be fine. No worries! You can also find some more info at support.netduma.com
  3. Is this for all devices or just specific ones? Can you provide the logs from when it happens please?
  4. Let us know how you get on, to try and make the others work a bit better: Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Ensure the router is in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _
  5. My vacuum specifically has trouble connecting also, all my other smart devices are fine otherwise on 2.4 or guest 2.4 - the extender method would be the better option but what I do and try it at your own risk is remove the password for the guest WiFi network, for some reason that makes it work. Then to make it slightly more secure you can make it so the guest WiFi doesn't broadcast (i.e. it doesn't show up on WiFi lists for anyone to connect to). This works for me as I don't have many neighbours but may not be an option for you.
  6. That's the plan!
  7. We're not just using codel though and what we're working on will be even better, there are better solutions, we're looking to innovate rather than use what currently exists
  8. We could use a different algorithm and be like other routers but we're attempting to be better than the basic algorithms and I think we are in that sense
  9. Then scroll down a bit and you should see it
  10. To answer your questions: It depends on whether they require you to use their hub with the box or not, if they don't then yes it should be fine to do that as long as you can connect them via ethernet (the R2 is a router only) It's AC WiFi/WiFi 5 so a couple of generations behind now but it should be sufficient, however it all depends on the size of your home, the thickness of walls etc I would recommend not purchasing the R2 though - you won't have any warranty from us, it's older tech, it won't get the latest updates now
  11. Setup a guest 2.4GHz WiFi network, is it able to connect to that instead?
  12. When you're connected to a game/server it will appear on the right side of the screen on the Geo-Filter, if it's bad you can click the X icon to add it to the deny feature. Once you've quit/left that specific game wait 2 minutes for the connection to that specific server to be severed and then you won't connect to it again. Doesn't support SFP - you will need to connect it to an ONT/Modem with an ethernet connection so however you're able to do that will be fine.
  13. The Congestion Control aspect is codel & our own proprietary algorithm I believe
  14. It just affects how you connect to people but as most games use servers now, even for chatting this is less of an issue. If you do play with people frequently and you do notice issues connecting to not having an Open NAT may be the issue. For example if you both have a moderate NAT.
  15. Click where I circled in your image to see it
  16. If you click on the arrow for the ping part, does it show the ping method as direct or traced? I suspect based on everything you mentioned it will be traced which then makes sense. Again the server isn't responding to a direct ping so as a backup it tries to do a trace to the server but as it won't respond it will take the last ping response and display it to you. The hope is it will be somewhat close to what it is but that doesn't always happen.
  17. We can't do anything about that necessarily, if they don't want to connect you to those other servers for whatever reason they won't. Could be they're only used in times of heavy load, when other servers are down etc
  18. Yeah it can happen a lot. That's good if you're getting a lower ping though correct?
  19. Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely - including the game client from the System Tray - important! Remove device from the Geo-Filter If you're on PC then give it the PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client See if it is any better then.
  20. Not all games respond to pings so that can happen, in which case it's better to then look at the ping in game instead
  21. Port forwarding/triggering is really only required for NAT purposes, it won't specifically improve your connection to the game.
  22. If you're playing on console your device should be added with the games console service, not specifically a game. However, it's just a name inconsistency, it will work the same for 26, thanks for the report though!
  23. Great to hear and thanks for the ID!
  24. Make sure to add that specific Ireland server to your allow list, if you could also provide the ID for it we can add it to the global whitelist
  25. I've given you Early Access, the features I mentioned above are not yet included https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/
