Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
I've responded to you in another topic but it may be mislocated, try using Ping Assist to see if you get connected to it -
DumaOs Beta 3.3
Netduma Fraser replied to [email protected]'s topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Hey, welcome to the forum! I've added you, it can be found here: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/145-nighthawk-pro-gaming-beta/ -
Does your modem have WiFi so you can connect the TV to it? If so I'd suggest trying that as well just to double check it is the TV but it does sound like it. You haven't wasted our time at all, that's what we're here for!

XR500 setup with Virgin Media Hub 3.0
Netduma Fraser replied to endo2406's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Go off the ones on speedtest.net if they're accurate and more stable, once entered you can find what works for those speeds and then you won't need to adjust it again -
Really sorry for the delay, I have asked but not got any response, I've chased again. Though we are doing a big DPI update so this may benefit it on the Geo-Filter.

XR500 setup with Virgin Media Hub 3.0
Netduma Fraser replied to endo2406's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
So that packet loss you're seeing at the top you can ignore, only if you see red bars on the bottom graph is when you should be concerned by packet loss. The ping itself that you're getting isn't too spiky really so it's not bad, could be better of course but it's unlikely the ISP would do anything about it as its not severe enough. -
Interesting, in WAN Settings could you disable the protection option at the top and then test. If it continues to happen, on that same page set NAT to Open and check again please.

XR500 setup with Virgin Media Hub 3.0
Netduma Fraser replied to endo2406's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Under what circumstances were these tests done? Were they with nothing using the internet or normal usage, were you saturating and using QoS? -
When you say QoS enabled, what do you mean exactly? As in just being on and not disabled fully from the menu? Do you have to disable both to get it to work or can you disable Traffic Prio and it will work?

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue, is Traffic Prioritization actively prioritizing when the TV is being used? What are your internet speeds?

DumaOs Beta 3.3

Hey, welcome to the forum! We don't have a beta for the XR1000 currently but if it comes up I'll make a note! -
XR500 setup with Virgin Media Hub 3.0
Netduma Fraser replied to endo2406's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You can absolutely do that, I would just say don't get too bogged down trying to get those values down and get gaming and see how it feels! If you really want to get into it: Saturate your connection with downloads, streams etc while following this guide https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control (set to Always), say 95% then check the results, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values. -

Are you just measuring using the test or are you going off your experience in game? Bufferbloat cannot occur when Congestion Control is active as it prevents the connection being saturated which is when bufferbloat occurs. -
XR500 setup with Virgin Media Hub 3.0
Netduma Fraser replied to endo2406's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You'll need to change the VM Hub back to router mode, then check the System Information page for the WAN IP which will then be in the 192 range, then you can enter the last digits in the DMZ on the Hub. Then yes you can disable the WiFi on the hub if you wish and just use the XR WiFi, that is the best setup. -

Netduma Fraser replied to endo2406's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Hey, welcome to the forum! That's correct on the DMZ, if you have a look at the IP on the System Information page the IP will be the same other than the last digits, that's what you put in. Yes we generally recommend to use QoS, have a look at https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/folders/16000090646 and that should help you get setup. QoS may need tweaking from the standard 70% to get better results. -
Try forcing the UK server and see if you get a better experience
-
Where is it you're located roughly?
-
Are you actually getting games within that polygon?
-
Peculiar, could you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please?
-
It might be a bad night for the game, is the in game ping a lot higher than the Geo ping?
-
You can't filter by those stats, try forcing slightly higher ping servers and you may get a better experience.
-
It's hard to tell without the ping but it does look out of sync so I'm not too surprised
