WZ2 Season 2 update affecting Geofilter?
Netduma Fraser replied to MrBig1994's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
We haven't heard anything about this, where is your approximate location and where are you trying to force servers? -

I think we're pretty close on an update, Amazon do have a good return policy so you could always return it before that expires if there isn't an update.
-
Once you've added your friends you shouldn't need to do it again - unless their IPs change frequently? If you do come across those chat servers do let us know the IDs and we can get them added as well.

It depends how well testing goes, it could go straight to a public release if we feel it is stable enough

X1000R IP Forwarding Issues with GeoFilter
Netduma Fraser replied to TheJam's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Is it okay with the reserved IP now after a reset or have you not tried that again? If you disable the Geo-Filter then reboot the console does the packet loss go away? -
Setting up XR100 w/ Edge Router?
Netduma Fraser replied to Ivanbad's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Setting your bandwidth is the limiter on what your router thinks the max speed you can achieve is so if you set that to 500 and left the sliders at 100% then you connection can still be saturated and you could experience lag. The other way prevents that happening. If you have Traffic Prioritization it is possible that could be prioritized and supersede the limit. -
X1000R IP Forwarding Issues with GeoFilter
Netduma Fraser replied to TheJam's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Was it working before that? If it was then it's possible it did get into a weird state. That's a good shout, yes port forward for the other port it's assigned itself and see if that makes a difference. -
X1000R IP Forwarding Issues with GeoFilter
Netduma Fraser replied to TheJam's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Ah so it's actually a problem creating a party another console on your own network? Are both devices added to the Geo-Filter or just the one hosting? Does the other device appear on the Geo-Filter Map when you try to add it to the party? -
X1000R IP Forwarding Issues with GeoFilter
Netduma Fraser replied to TheJam's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Reserved IPs should be fine, have you added your friends to the allow list? Check when you do the test if there is anything blocked on the map, if there is add that to the allow list and it should prevent the issue. -
QOS Category - Adding more apps or web apps
Netduma Fraser replied to Jeofel08's topic in Community Discussion
If there are applications that you use that aren't included in the categories just let us know and we can look into adding them -
Hello, welcome to the forum! We don't currently have a beta available for the XR700 but if that happens we'll let people know and we can add you to the list then.

XR1000 | Open NAT Type on Multiple Consoles?
Netduma Fraser replied to P4UL's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That could be why, they're trying to connect over and over again but can't as they have the incorrect password. If you connect them with the correct password does the entries/issue stop? -
XR1000 | Open NAT Type on Multiple Consoles?
Netduma Fraser replied to P4UL's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
They must be connected in some way to show in the logs, unless you mean they're no longer connected? You'd just add the device and allow traffic, nothing much you need to do in that regard -
XR1000 | Open NAT Type on Multiple Consoles?
Netduma Fraser replied to P4UL's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Keep us posted! If it happens again perhaps make a Traffic Controller rule to allow traffic for it -
Okay great, it would be best to update to the latest as you are on quite an old version: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39522-new-r2-firmware-32453/

Why am I connecting to a server across the world?
Netduma Fraser replied to mukey's topic in Netduma R2 Support
It's an authentication server required for online play, it won't affect your game ping, the one in your radius is the game server. You just need to expand your radius to cover a bit more of Europe and then you'll have the opportunity to get on those servers. -
The R2 has multiple firmware versions available which has included new features, you just need to sign up for Early Access to try them. Thank you for the feedback. That's what DumaOS Classified Games, Games Console and all the other services included do for you. This topic is for people experimenting with settings.

SQM is a form of QoS which the router does have so you can experiment with that to find what works best for you. You can use Connection Benchmark for this test as well.

BT Fiber Xr500 Slow
Netduma Fraser replied to mnequest's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Did you put the XR in the BT Hub and are all devices still connected to the XR? If you disable QoS fully what do you get? -

What about using speedtest.net, what do you get then?
